Thanks young powerful farmer...the i formation very beneficial to those of us living in villages in rural areas...you covered basically everything farners need to know and I commend you fr such educatiional information to all young agripreneuers especially men who now have a blueprint to start a poultry farm. I am watching from a village in PNG.. I have liked, subscribed and sharing this video to young men Thanks fr your time and effort...may Yaweh abundantly bless and prosper you in your endeavors.🙏🙏❤💪🙌

Thanks for encouraging a poor person to keep poultry using local materials to build the poultry house. Secondly, thanks for bringing out ways of securing a farm which some of us diď not know. In view ofvthe above i encourage you to strive on and widen your farm. I once kept chickens. Started with 500 and grew to 10,000. Was selling the eggs in a neighbouring country until war broke out there and i left exporting. However, continued but was let down by workers who were stealing the eggs. I decided to sell off the birds in the end. But its a very interesting venture and money maker. So continue to grow your business.
I hv liked the way u study, watch, and analyse the most essentials on ur SMH farm. Plse continue ,we shall follow and also advise where necessary. thx u guy.
Thank you for your information corresponding towards the encouragement of keeping chickens in the rural areas and motivating down and out youths hustlers who can't afford to take good care of exotic breeds to gravitate towards the local breeds.
Thanks for the information. I'm a beginner in this poultry farming. Just bought one hen, and it hatched her chicks few days ago. I was having the stress of where to keep them❤
When building chicken house, do not cut wire mesh to ground. You can remove dirt from around chicken house and roll wire mesh a few feet away from house and place dirt on top. This will also keep snakes out.
Thanks for the impressive presentation and information on about building and maintaining a good and durable poultry farm or house. The name of the rat with offensive smell is called SHREW in English. But the local name in my dialect is NASEGEN, that's KWAGALLAK tribe in Middle or central Nigeria, Southern Plateau State.
Thank you for your encouragement and down to earth way of operations. I pray God to bless your endeavours. I am definitely going to emulate you Thank you
Very informative video. I am petrified of snakes so I take precautions to ensure that they don't come on my property although the snakes in my area are not poisonous. A good way to keep snakes out is to have an area where you burn lemon grass, old car tires, paper, or just paper if you are not composting it. Snakes don't like smoke and the smell of lemongrass so they will stay away. I have not seen any on my property and I am so glad. Snakes were one of my main concerns when I bought a countryside property. I also cut my grass very low. For rats, I mix baking soda, sugar, and grated soap together and I leave it in places around my property. when they eat it. They get thirsty and need to consume water and their system gets blocked. This kills them. I have chickens too but I keep them in a fenced area so they don't eat the mixture that is made for the rats. This mixture really works. Rats can be a big problem when you have chickens because they come to eat the chicken feed. So it's very necessary to get rid of them plus they can cause diseases to your chickens.
Hello i find yr vedeo very educative thank u so much fr taking yr time to explain everything im yr new subscriber watching frm South African gud job God bless yr work
Hi. I thought about buying a Dehydrator and Sure enough I saw freeze dryer videos Come up. A bit confused because I haven't forgotten about 911, 2007, 2020 & this Inflation we're in! I'm thinking about Survival & not existing & depending on The Government! So...The Freezer Dryer is to Big, & now they say Canning is Bad because of Botulism, & I don't have misgivings about any of these. What's your opinion about Canning, & Freeze Drying ( while the unit takes up a lot of Space )?
Congratulations on a very informative video , and you have done a marvellous job explaining everything in great detail . Can you tell me why have you included the two rubber tyres in the little chicken coop - is it to strengthen the walls or something else ? Here in Australia , my family and I have just started having chooks , and we have seven hens . One hen has just had four chicks and they are now 12 weeks old - three chooks and one rooster and they are now nearly fully grown . As you would know , breeding the chickens is great fun and very rewarding. You are doing a great job to better your life well done and thank you .
Thank you for the insightful information. Observation: I see you have a fence and a chicken house within the fence. Since they are local chickens, I assume you let them out of the house to wonder freely within the fence and then drive them into the house in the evening.? Am I right? How large is your fenced area and how big is the house in terms of dimensions. And how many birds can you accommodate in the space you currently have.? I am very interested to learn more, so I will subscribe to your channel. Thank you👏
I haven't tried it because I don't have a lizard problem. But, supposedly lizards hate the smell of vinegar and lemon, chilli powder causes irritation to their skin, eyes, and nose. So make a spray of vinegar, lemon, and chili pepper. Chili pepper is also good for repelling insects off of plants. I seen a recipe to make little balls, mix equal amount of coffee with tobacco. Then, add a few drops of water to mixture, form balls and place in area needed. It's also said, lizards don't like the scent of peppermint, eucalyptus, pencil trees, and moth balls.
Thanks a lot for the advice, but thirfs!, They come when the electricity run away, and even the rain at night, so things are not easy, otherwise thanks for the update brother may Allah 🤲 rewards u abandantly 🤝👏👏
1.spraying used oil all round the unit even the compound fence will prevent snakes from entering. It kills snakes instantly. 2. Installing an alarm for any entering attempts. 3. Question:- l had quite a good number of laying hens.On one day l found no single egg at all ! Surprisingly months went by no single egg.l opted to sell them. In only one day they started laying and came for more. What was the cause as finally I sold all?
How about, in addition to the cameras, incorporate a security system with motion sensors? Something like Simply Safe is not that expensive. And you can set it up yourself.
Where do you come from.?Am from Sierra Leone. The animal your talking about is stoat or weasel. I think. I have tried running a poultry farm but find it difficult because of feeding and no one to help.

Since they are local chickens, I assume you let them out of the house to wonder freely within the fence and then drive them into the house in the evening.? Am I right?

How many free range bird can I start with.how many hens and how many male birds should I start with
Normally, 10 hens per cock
Thanks for the information, I have become you favorite follower, from Ghana ❤
Welcome
You are doing great Sir
Thanks
Thank you for the tips but I have a question is I have been missing small Chicks with no trace at all but I have seen rats around
If rats then they won't eat the whole Chick,I think it's snakes
Thanks for all the information. Please, how can one prevent lizards in the farm. They feed a lot on the maggots made for chickens.

Depends on the age of the birds, the type of feed, and some illness
Thanks brother for great job 👍 done ✔️
Welcome
How do I control the birds so they don't lay at one place and sitting on them become problem
Your new subscriber!❤ I love farming good job

How about, in addition to the cameras, incorporate a security system with motion sensors? Something like Simply Safe is not that expensive. And you can set it up yourself.
That's also possible, but as someone starting up for the first time may not have all those kinds of money

How many eggs can you give to ahen to give out good chick s.
Good job. Keep it up.
Instead of using gynksheet you could have maid mud blocks yourself and wall to your requirement that would reduce cost and eroding soil
