Dixie, not MS. Just an fyi. A speed boat with women who were topless made our trip a bit sour…my dad was a minister and my husband didn’t like it either. We didn’t record that. Watching your video brought back a lot of memories because we’ve been in Central (Bend/Sunriver) Oregon for 48 years.

You chose well to take 88. If you had traveled 50 it would have been many miles of burned-out trees. We had very large fires tearing its way into Tahoe. Thx for the full weekend of wonderful views.

I’m retired now from the fire department and I have been sitting home watching a lot of your videos , places that I’ve been to many times as well but on my big gigantic screen I feel like I’m right there one thing I do see is how sick our forests are ! Do you notice the lush and green forest are being eaten up by the beetle and devastated by maybe harder winters but they do not look well. They look dried out faded out half gray half green these bark Beatles and Poor Forest Management are to blame .I wish they would be able to try to eradicate them. They’re just terrible, and on top of that, not doing proper reforestation control burns, and the like have also contributed to the demise of the American forest . Thank you for all your hard work. you sure do a wonderful job? ❣️ I love when you use the Drone 😊

My family used to camp with our 24ft trailer at Tahoe Valley campground in South Lake Tahoe nexted to the airport. It was great. We camped in the overflow area. Hit lake tahoe pizza company. It was in 1996.
Well if I needed to take a break for a couple of days I couldn't think of a prettier place to take it😅, still the prettiest place I've ever seen, but it's sure has built up scence the last time I seen it👍✌

That was back in the 90s, just a few hotels and motels and one grocery store !! Thank you for this video, reminds me of those wonderful years when I lived in America. You’re right. I owned 2 boats. Had them for over 10 years. Boated in the ocean off New Jersey. Went to Nantucket for weekends in the 38’ with twin Mercury Marine 502 CID V8’s. Talk about money pit! Also drove it to Florida from NJ twice through the ICW. Nice life experience but I’m done with it now. Very very expensive.

We just got back from Lake Tahoe yesterday. Oh my gosh. I felt like I was reliving my trip. We went on the boat also. However, our boat was filled to capacity. Although we did get a table inside. We did not have snow on the mountains, but I’m glad I got to see it on your video. Isn’t Lake Tahoe just absolutely gorgeous. And there are several lakes around Lake Tahoe. We hiked to about five of them. They were mini Lake Tahoe‘s. I cannot express my love for that place. I left a little piece of my heart there. Wow, do you do all this traveling alone? Thank you, Russ for the enjoyable trip to Lake Tahoe. It's been for me about 51 years since I was there. We came from the Sacramento side to Reno and Lake Tahoe. As you pointed out, the mountains were not too developed in the 70's. We came in the summer however as you pointed out there was snow in the higher elevations. I remember we stopped some place where I touched the snow. 🖖👍

Beautiful scenery and the lake is so blue. Love the paddle wheeler. We used to have the Becky Thatcher on the CT River years ago but I think it's been retired according to a news piece I read. What a nice trip so far. Love the mountain scenery. The psalmist wrote "I lift my eyes unto the hills grom whence cometh my help. It comes from the Lord." Whenever I get down mountains seem to lift me up. Not sure why but I know how David felt. Thank you for the road trip.

Take the cable car up the mountain at Heavenly. Good view of the lake from there.
You can rent a 20’ with an outboard and cruise the lake by yourself if you want.

my parents had a summer house there. So spent a lot of time at South Shore, King's beach and Sunnyside. Lots of good memories.

My father had a cabin in Truckee when I was growing up. We spent so much time there going hiking, fishing, skiing, etc. Great memories.
