If only they'd cared this much when the Qatar corruption allegations came up. I guess FIFA only can only act on things when there isnt a giant pile of money for them
This might be the thing that bothers me most. Selectivity in enforcing the rules only when they don't get money from it.
No I think they care as much. They will talk about their corruption in 11 years
They just made nationality rules so that European countries can steal african players from their original countries. When its an african country getting benefit they go 180
What corruption allegations? Genuine question I want to know about those
@@ninanano About slaving workers who built and prepared stadiums for the World Cup and I think there were rumors about Qatar basically paying FIFA to have the world cup
Equatorial Guinea is a fascinating country. It’s the only country in Africa where Spanish the the most commonly spoken language and it’s not even on the equator.
They also have among the most oppressive governments in the world. Most adults are conscripted into the army and are forced to work in bad conditions for little pay. Almost a third of all citizens have fled in recent years. But that doesn’t really have anything to do with soccer.
And it's the only country in the world where Internet Explorer is the most popular browser.
read about their first leader, makes that dude from the CAR tame by compairison
And also they have the capital on an island, despite having the majority of its territory being situated on the continent
isn't this eritrea 🤔
Hold on for a sec doesn't the capital being on a separed island makes it easy for the people to take control of the main land and create a new country am not telling you to overthrow your governement but just think about it ;)
Bureaucracy is the death of reason. I defy anyone to name a single thing this guy was hurting by playing for Equatorial Guinea's national team
One thing that not every article is mentioning: FIFA said they denied his one-time switch in 2013 because he only got his Equatoguinean passport AFTER he was cap-tied to Spain. You need to have had dual citizenship in both countries BEFORE you played for the first one if you want to switch.
Still dumb
Hmz... that does not add up (as soo much else with FIFA) i have distinct memories of quite a few half-swedish players talking about sorting out things with the embasies and passports and stuff before the FIFApart of the process really can get rolling, no names or years (before or after 13?) popping up but yeah, maybe they had the citizenships and it was just getting the paperwork? though i think most refugees loose thier citizenships when fleeing, as a default nowadays (and back 30-40 years)
If that's the case then I can understand FIFA's decision. He didn't meet the requirements to be eligible for the one time switch, and he did it anyway. It's insane it took 11 years for FIFA to figure that out, but at least it's not the rules that are issue here
@@tylercady3985 Except why does an eligible player for a youth tournament get cap tied. That is exceptionally dumb even for FIFA
@@williamcross210exactly
that stoner analogy works even less in this situation because he's helped equatorial guinea for 11 years despite "not being born there" like at that point just let him go on right?
Knowing FIFA, this is certainly political, like a rival nation pressuring Higher ups for their support in a future election.
The Namibian pyramid conspiracy
Do you know what's absurd, the fact that Z still has not given us a nice background to look at.
He gave us the best view to look at.. His hairline, so now we don't have to worry about ours anymore
I vote and volunteer Z to have a terrarium or aquarium, fish or frogs!
Don’t call him r*cist, he will delete your comment
You mean you can see past z's forehead? What is this special power
Lazy bastard ^^
Nsue's earnt his caps for Equatorial Guinea and this is hearbreaking for them. Hope there's something that can be done to sort this out.
This sounds like a FIFA problem. The arbitrary and opaque rules, inconsistent application of said "rules", lack of commonsense, etc etc.
FIFA is doodoo baby.
Feels like one of those times when someone isn't wrong, but they are also not quite right.
No matter for all we tease Americans about football (soccer) the fact they were the ones with the balls to pull down FIFA's hierarchy will always be something I can't deny they deserve all the credit in the world for. A shame FIFA seem to never learn.
Saudi Arabia was given the 2034 World Cup in a very corrupt way. But Fuck Sep Blatter
Because they care much less about football than big countries in Europe for example, I mean Macron was directly involved in Mbappe’s career decisions…
Zealand puts together his set up at the same speed FIFA investigates and lets teams know they messed up
FM24 mini-save idea: get Equatorial Guinea to the WC without Emilio Nsue
Emilio is actually a bit of a cult hero at Boro! We initially signed him as a right winger then somehow ended up playing Right back and being extremely good, part of one of the greatest defences the championship has ever seen for back to back seasons and was starting right back when we were promoted back to the premier league! We stand by him! Ain't nobody, like Nsue ♥️😍 UTFB
In 5 years FIFA is going to get around to suspending Zealand for not having his setup finished
Want to thumbs up this but it is at 69
@@gregbroz8109 naughty! Will do it for you now at 1.2k 😂
This is weird af. There are thousands of players that have played youth level football for various nations then switched their allegiance later in their careers because they weren't going to be called up for whatever full side they would've represented.
Declan Rice is one, but the other way round once it was fairly clear he would end up in the full England squad if he kept playing the way he was.
Yeah I always thought it was only if they made a Senior appearance that it’s a problem, and Nsue never played for Spain’s Senior team
@@NJTRAF And I still thought that if you had 3 or fewer matches for the senior team, you could still make a switch.
No. It's if you play for a teams senior team or youth team when over the age of 21 and have no other nationalities you get cap-tied. At the time Nsue only had Spanish nationality and while it was a Youth level tournament he played at it over the age of 21 which then counted him as a senior international, even though it wasn't a senior international game.
rather bizarre that rice played a full international for Ireland 3 times and wasn't country tied, this guy played 1 minute at a under 21 competition and is
it's because rice has a British passport before playing for ireland, but yeah they rule is stupid there's various reasons you don't have the other passport at a young age not everyone is blessed with a structure of getting things organised and done. As soon as he got the EQG Passport that should of been fine to play
I think it's because Rice was under 21 when he played for Ireland.
"A little bit more south, or north, depending where you are" has to be the greatest geografical description of a country I've ever heard 😂
The one I loved was Tony Cascarino, he thought he was Irish for years, turned after years of internationals that wasn’t eligible under any criteria
If I were him I’d have gone all in and been adamant that I filed the paperwork 11 years ago . Try to convince fifa that they lost it.
We are cap tied to Z's unfinished background
It's because equatorial guinea failed to pay their fifa protection money
You know it’s bad when Zeeland be dropping F-bombs
'It's gonna get confusing and it's gonna include Equatorial Guinea'
'You son of a bitch, I'm in'
Aymeric Laporte was in the French set-up until the U21s then joined Spain. He wasn't even Spanish by ancestry, but Spain gave him citizenship and he switched sides.
5:40 yachts, luxury cars, 5 star hotels, escorts.. you know.. the usual 😂
Fell off forehead running etc etc etc
Nicely summarised
I see you put as much effort into your bullying as Z has into his room decor
Don't forget balding
A man played 1 U21 minute in a tournament like 13 years ago and is now getting done in but Rice played for the Irish national team in two friendlies and can be in every England squad. Fuck FIFA.
How could anyone NOT already hate FIFA?
Peep Frogioula looks like he had enough of your rants 😂
Justice for Equatorial Guinea!
I took my first sip of alcohol 11 years ago... legally... yes... legally
NEON LIGHTS!!!!!!
I will ALWAYS be happy to see Zea repping NYC FC
Zealand is starting to swear a bit more and i’m here for it
Zealand you are the best football commentator on RUclips!!!! You are so funny I’m literally howling in my living room. I found you about a month ago and my football RUclips has never been the same. Keep us up brother!!!
Organise your desk though 😂
Really Been Enjoying this Content, havent missed a single zealandism.
There's something poetic about you talking about a corrupt organization whilst wearing a City Football Group team kit lol
I love your thumbnails
guys got amnesia at inappropriate time
Where hat?
Omar mascerall has decided to represent equatorial guniea, so at least you can still say you know one player who plays for the national team
Rule should be changed. That is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. 1 minute??? Didn't think I could hate FIFA anymore than I already do
They changed, in 2021. Now a player is only cap-tied to a NT if he plays more than 3 official matches before his 22nd b'day, or he plays 1 official match (U21/U23 competitions do count) after his 22nd b'day.
Munir is the most notable case that benefited from the change. He hadn't been allowed to play for Morocco NT because he played 1 official match for Spain NT (UEFA Euro Qualifiers) when he was 19. After the rule change 2021, his request to switch NT was accepted, and he had played for Morocco NT since.
Most Absurd Lack of Desk and Running Ever
is that the first time I've heard Z say fuck?
You put some respect on Ghana’s name(even though we’re kinda terrible right now and I’ve been supporting US anyways)
Can we enter Laporte into this convo then?
Born in France played for them at every level to under 21 then capped by Spain and played for them since
Or am I missing something
Mctominay is also another born in England and only qualifies for Scotland as his dad is from there, only difference he never played any youth internationals for England
i mean it's fifa, im sure there's someone somewhere that can be "persuaded" to make this all go away.
You're entirely wrong, Zealand. I already hated FIFA way before this!
another day without setting up the desk
I wasn't expecting Equatorial Guinea first thing in a morning but hey ho 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The only thing more big, plain and bare than the background of this video is Zealand's massive forehead.
Man works from his house, and it's too lazy to fix it up for us. Legendary bum behavior right there
At any moment I'm expecting a very hairy man in a man-kini to pop through the door, look confused for two seconds, say, "Oh, wrong room." Then walk out.
As an Algerian, we had a couple of players who played for France’s youth teams, guess good thing they retired years ago lol
EQUATORIAL GUINEA REFERENCE!!!! IM SO HAPPYYYYY
I mis the mustache man, why did you had shave it of 😶😂
We have always hated Fifa, the ncaa, the Fia shall i continue?
FIFA is actually at a station with the Zurich Zoo and a Uni Sports Center
Pierre Emrick Aubameyang is very loud....You might say he has a right Gabon him 🤫😉😂
This is a case where FEGUIFOOT can genuinely take FIFA to court
The more absurd thing about this is that Nsue is a rightback/right wingback/right midfielder for the teams he played for, yet almost solely plays as a striker for Equatorial Guinea.
This reminds me of David Alaba, who while playing at CB/LB in club football, has played almost everywhere else including up front for Austria
The one-time switch is only possible BEFORE being cap-tied. But didn’t they change the rules for being cap-tied for competitive U21 matches fairly recently. I thought before it was only for senior appearances and given this was in 2011 I thought this should have been legal. But then again I am no expert. So just a genuine question, maybe someone knows the answer
so they can't fight this
I actually saw Emilio Nsue score a goal against Murcia CF, my local club, and I was wondering why he was so good 😂😂
His name isn't Emiliano lmao
Peppo Guardiola looks sad. You know why? Because the background looks sad
Facts
Heelloooooooo Youtuuuuuuube. Love your videos Zealand! Greetings from Germany
That New York City FC shirt is why people start playing football/soccer. Americans know how to style, could you send someone our way?
As much as we might not like FIFA, there's very little we can blame them for here, other than taking so long to deal with it. The guy knew he wasn't allowed to play for the country, but continued to do so anyway.
The mlre stupid thing is that 1 minute probably wasn't even a proper minute. Probably just 20 seconds
This is why Statutes of Limitations exist.
Check what just happened in the North Korea - Syria match
That NYC kit is well cool
The mustache has gone and so has his background. He's lying, he doesn't have it. He has lost the background. Show us proof!
They are significantly better than everyone else in their group except for Tunisia. So I’d say they can still make a run for second and go into the next round for a spot in the inter confederation playoff.
z, im gonna need you to list the kits you wear because this nyfc one is kind of fire and i wanna know the year etc. a few others in previous videos have been great though so pls list them in the descriptions or tell us before you start talking about the topic cool thanks bye
It’s their current away kit
This is a disgrace. We had a very good chance on making it to 2026
Fifa being Fifa
"I know who Emiliano Nsue is." While this may be true, sir, who you do not appear to know is Emilio Nsue. Sir...
surely the title should have been, this will make you hate FIFA even more
No this is the crazy dictator guy right?
I think you got the title wrong. "This will make you hate FIFA MORE" lol
an intercity legend in my fm save 😢
this is nuts. great vid.not fair.. rules are a paradox
He is their all time top goal scorer! Insane
Background or PSR breach???
Blud, Euros are around a corner, and you told us to plan watchalongs, set up that couch and tv blud
Audio up please mate. Thanks for the uploads.
You should look up today's result between North Korea v Syria. Syria were 1-0 at half time and suddenly at full time North Korea won 1-0 with a 90th minute goal.
What 😮
Where's the moustache😡😡
No background in big june 2024 is crazy
Sounds like a legend
It's a dumbass rule. It's not EN's fault.
Someone from Equatorial Guinea is an Equatoguinean
Wikipedia entry to him mentions his passport was fraudulent, with his place of birth info being in EG instead of his real one in Spain
New premier league VAR announcement just dropped saying they're going to make stadium announcements about VAR like in MLS. Weren't English people making fun of this just a few weeks ago? Should make a good Zealandism
thank you for shaving the mo
Little more north or south? It's literally equitorial
Come on, man... haven't you ever forgotten about anything for 11 years? I mean... we're only human :)))
it's FIFA!
They didn't keep his records or work on it immediately ?
@@mockinghyena960 maybe the dog ate their archive =)))
