@@telsutton I've recently read one interview in which they mentioned they'd been listening to Curt Boettcher. Just a passing mention. They listen to so much music, it's hard for them to keep up with what is what (that's my general conclusion from the interview).

@@ruok3351 in my opinion it’s not an overstretch in the slightest. I personally haven’t seen any other musician from this generation have quite the same level of virtuosic multi-instrumental skills and songwriting genius as these guys. But that is just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to one.

I believe this was shot at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. It was one of the biggest tourist attractions in NYC prior to Central Park being built. Beautiful song by the way.
It's most definitely Green-Wood (with some Prospect Park thrown in for good luck). I know, because this is my neighborhood!
The Lemon Twigs can do no wrong in my eyes, each album has been amazing and I can't wait to hear the next. I saw them a few times in the UK when they toured 'Do Hollywood' and 'Go To School'. I live in New Zealand now and can only hope they do a tour over here but it's probably unlikely. Met the guys too and they were won-won-wonderful!

This music video reminds me of the music video for Crackerbox Palace by George Harrison. I'm here for it! I wonder if they drew inspiration from it. The scenes where they zoom in on statues just reminds me of it. The gurney scene also reminds me of how George was rolled in a stroller in his music video 😂. There were other scenes/shots that also made me think of it as well.

I'm an eclectic music lover but I have to admit to a certain affinity for 60's and 70's music, so imagine my delight running completely randomly into The Lemon Twigs. Love at first listen. They have great vocals and musicianship. I'm not going to go on that completely boring rag about "today's music". If you don't like, don't listen. I just want to say the brothers are just a lovely addition to my collection of music. I will certainly go down the rabbit hole of learning all I can about as I tend to do with stuff I like. As a matter of fact I just learned about them in the last hour and already know a bare bones biography of the brothers and I can't believe they grew up in the business and are still helluva creative and seemingly haven't picked up the nasty habit of not giving a damn about art. Fresh!
