This was the last jazz piece I played in my high school career, after only being jazz band for one year this song Brings back lots of happy memories. I’m sad I won’t ever be able to go back, but am reminded of the good times through this wonderful song
I’m playing this in my jazz band group, I was happy I found this. I’m trombone 4, even though I play bass trombone. My favorite part is measure 97 to 115
Matthew Pearce Me too.. I play 4th trombone on a regular one. I originally play tuba so it’s pretty easy for me to play low notes on the regular trombone
This is an amazing channel to listen to when I study. Really great music and so much work put into the different grades. I also listen to the marching band channel. (I play trumpet and tuba)
Sammy Nestico was from a different era, hence the difference. Nestico could possibly be considered more of a "classic jazz" guy, as after all, his heyday was some 60 or so years ago. I do like the bright, uncluttered arrangement done here -- bravo, John Wasson! Much respect and admiration from me!
Does anybody else think that this is the best arrangement of Bare Necessities for jazz ensemble? Because I think it is one of the best.
Hannah the Musician it's arranged by the composer of Caravan so of course it is
And Chanchanita of course ;)

As a tenor on fourth part I love this part ot I want to play over and over again
That's actually the standard to play bass trombone as 4th. Most advanced charts are written with that in mind.
Best jazz band song ive played so far. Great for talented junior high jazz bands.
I really want our jazz band to play this! I love this song!
I am playing it in band right now. I'm in 6th grade, and on tenor
I am playing this
It’s so much fun to play and our jazz band loves this piece and it’s actually pretty easy for me (clarinet playing trumpet one)
i am playing this!! i play clarinet!

Your channel should get more attention than it already does.
Pretty sure its not an actual person its just a bot that uploads the music from jwpepper
@@MickeyX2Mit‘s a company. Hal leonard sells these arrangements.
best song to play on bass trombone or the baby blues but still one of the best songs
My high school jazz band is playing this on our concert
I sang this all the time
I'm playing this for band
Our jazz band is playing the one arranged by Sammy nestico and I'm sad cause this one is better

Without edit, I believe the drum solo is way to slow for a piece like this. Honestly it should be half note = 110.
So _that's_ why a bear can rest at ease.
I think it needs less unison parts
I agree, especially in the saxes
Considering this is probably for a school group, I think it's a good idea. And it's uncluttered this way, so there's that.

I feel like the wood block shouldn't be there. It makes it sound of time.
Because it's on the and
No it isn't
I really like the wood block.
I think it sounds lighter
