What about pet owners who let their pets roll around on the sofa and in their beds with them! We know what "The Dirty Truth" of that would be ... disgusting!
FINALLY someone else thinks the same 😄 everytime and I mean EVERYTIME after a walk everyday w my dogs I wash both my maltese 4 paws w soap and warm water yep everytime absolutely disgusting that people let their dogs walk on their sofa and bed w those outdoor paws 🤮
It’s so gross!!!! We have an enclosed back porch for our dogs and cat. It’s huge. I’ll never own a house that doesn’t have this. We spend plenty of time with them and it’s air conditioned and heated for our babies. Since moving here our lives have transformed. I’m sorry but it’s absolutely disgusting to let cats and dogs roam your home bc they step in their pee and poo and track it all in your home. The smell of their skin (no matter how clean) gets all in your home. Everything that comes with it is just gross. I love them, believe me, but it’s just not sanitary
Man you all got some serious germaphobic issues. My dog lays in my bed and I wear shoes indoors, hardly ever get sick and have not thrown up in over 30 years.
So this is why we, Scandinavia, take our shoes of and also coat or jackets when you enter our home. The dog always have there paws cleaned before allowed inside. TV show renovating homes from the US never have coat or shoeracks at the entrance. I dont understand why even if you wear shoes inside what about coats, jackets, glows and scarfs.
So do Indians and most Asians. Having lived in the UK - they are the most unhygienic, they walk all over the house with their shoes even the bedroom. When I see people with their shoes on in the bed, and walking in the kitchen, it makes me cringe. US is a little better but not much. They do have coat closets by the front door and most don't wear shoes in the house, but where pets are concerned it's another story. Makes me cringe when the pets get in bed with people. 🤧😖
It’s a comfort and convenience thing for people, hard flooring makes wearing shoes logical. There is zero evidence anything on our shoes will make us sick.
This is just common sense. Has anyone never watched a dog poop on the sidewalk? Yes, the poop is carried on your shoes. Or, what about the odd vomit on the sidewalk, human feces? Yes, anything on the ground that grows. The ground is a nasty place. I silently puke when I see kids on the ground. Yes, fecal-oral route. Hepatitis A. Love it! I kindly think poop eaters like dogs. Yes, I am not drinking after anyone.
Housing inspectors refuse to wear shoe booties. I told them they were welcome to come in if they had shoe protection or they could take their shoes off, but they refused. Was I wrong? Have had Covid 4 times and at 69 I don't what any more!
You don't get covid from shoes and the fact you have had it 4 times tells me you have a weak immune system and its probably weak because you try to hard to avoid germs.
Wait just a minute. I was at a neighbor's house recently and they asked me to remove my shoes. A reason they gave was that, when a many goes to the bathroom, tiny amounts of urine may end up on the floor around the toilet, then be tracked through the house. Ok, fine. But it made me question, if I have been wearing a pair of socks all day, does that logic still apply? It seems to me that a pair of moist socks would be more likely to pick that up, or any other germs, and track them through the house. So which is actually better healthwise - walk in the house with shoes with a hard rubber or leather sole or in a pair of damp absorbent socks?
In Japan they have toilet slippers at the entrance to the bathroom you only put them on to enter the bathroom then leave them at the bathroom door when leaving.
That's why one should clean the bathroom floor often. And ALWAYS put the toilet lid down before flushing. Also don't use those small carpets that fit around the base of the toilet. That's gross. But yes, those socks are kinda yucky after being around a bathroom floor. Try not to think about it too much.
In summary, take off your shoes in your house

@@billybassman21 Scandinavian homes also have hard floors. Wall-to-wall carpets are very uncommon here. Yet we take our shoes off.

Barefoot is the best option

It’s all germaphobia. Shoes on the house is totally fine.
