For what I can see in the vídeo, the front gear cable goes 'naked' inside the frame and comes, passes under the BB and then goes up the seat tube. The last part, between the BB and the seat tube, is done with housing, right?
How do you fix the cable rattling in the top tube on the Scultura. It is the WORST thing about the Scultura & because the cable is captive, you can just put foam rings around it to stop. Merida suggest filling the top tube with expanding foam which is messy and doesn't work.
@@sedovis Hi Sergio. Thanks for your reply! Yes, the Merida dealer here somehow were able to add foam (or something) around the cable, some how like "key hole surgery". Since I made that last comment 2 yrs ago, they have now fixed it - quiet as a mouse.
Hello, I have a Speeder 200 V (2015). I want to replace my gear cables which are rusty. But there are sheaths (transparent thin cable housing) already installed in the system (in the inner tube section). I am not sure should I install my new cables without sheath, because they are really rare in the market and I cannot be sure about the correct diameter.
I have a question related to that plate. Why is it asymmetrical? On one side there is a housing stop that needs a ferrule so only the inner cable goes inside the bike. On the other side the opening is larger which allows for full housing. Are other bikes like this also? Where can I read further
useful video, i never thought merida use a whole length tube for the rear derailleur. The way of changing is quite smart.
No I'm in Tassie. It's a fairly common complaint, not just with Merida - but other brands as well. I would talk to a few bike shops in your area.

omg Kurzgesagt guy!
also, nice video :)
Does the front derailleur go over the bottom bracket or under? I routed mine going under and it creaks now.

Exactly my issue, did you get to solve it?

4:44 you checked the length of the cable on the smallest cog, on the biggest one cable might be too short.
Mierda de cuadro, el 5000, se me rajo , y luego ni responden a garantías,
Hola, me podrías decir si al final solucionaste lo del cuadro? Y de que año era? Gracias
