I’m not vegan but I cook vegan meals and when someone tells me they want to go vegan I always recommend this channel! Following for a few years now and after diving deep into nutrition for many years for my own health reasons I know this guy is doing a great job providing nutritious, healthy, wholesome meals that are vegan 🌱
Fair play to you buddy. I made the jump Vegan (so full way of life) a few years ago and I don't look back. Even if you just eat plant based without going full lifestyle Vegan, that would be amazing. Do you think you'd consider doing Monday to Friday plant based? And see how you go? Or opposite, and just do the weekend so you've got time to play around with recipes as a starting point? Sounds like you're on the right path dude! As in, eating fully plant based?
I must confess - I am a bit of a "junk food" vegan. Seeing all these fresh ingredients and how you prepared them with such ease has inspired me. I'm going to try these for sure :)
I love your meal prep recipes! Especially the sauces. I’m in Ontario so nice to see Canadian content. Can’t always find ingredients if Costco not in Canada.
You have me addicted to soy curls. Amazon knows to recommend them every couple of weeks. Damn. They’re so good. How can anyone not want to be vegan watching you and Crystal with your kind and positive attitudes? You guys are awesome!! 🌱💚✌🏻
Just wrapped up visiting PlantedExpo here in Toronto. Hope to see you one day at an expo. Mentioned to Nimai Delgado that you, him, Brian Turner & Dr. Greger are my personal Mount Rushmore of inspiration. Great video & perfect timing as I'm going to start trying meal preps to help with my weight loss, fitness & nutrition journey. Thank you! 🌱
I envy you! Wanted to go to that so bad but couldn’t…will have to heck out the people you mentioned except Dr. Michael Gregor, he is my absolute favorite!
I’ve been lacking motivation for cooking vegan meals with not so many recipes out there but I did find some online and these look really good! Thank you for including the WRITTEN recipes in the description box🙏🙏
11:46am TU for the (Costco) meal prep for 5 days. This takes away figuring out what to cook & multiple shopping trips for me as a newbie going fresh, plant based! My husband, not a total PB convert, & I are very Excited to discover your videos & look fwd to viewing more.
Omg random side note, y’all’s plants in the background are fantastic. Why do plants make me so happy 😂. Started watching your vids again to get back on track. I’m down 12lbs ❤
@@cfleming614 you are very fortunate, wish it was that way here I wouldn't have to shop more than 1 store. ✌🙂 we only have spring salad, apples (recently pears) tofu (new) milk (including nut) frozen fudge bars, a few snacks, honey, yogurt, that's about it 😕 . Have a good day. Oh, frozen berries and veggies 🙂
your videos are amazing love the cooking and working i recently went back plant based and i feel amazing more energy when i don't feel like working out i simply watch your videos and i get so motivated love your recipes they are all so good
This video was super helpful! I have been feeling quite defeated with my plant based journey and tired of having to think about it. This is super helpful and i also appreciate that there isnt a lot of tofu in the day because too much upsets my stomach! Thanks for the content!!!
Another great, upbeat video, particularly for those of us who aren’t naturals in the kitchen. It’s easy for me to get busy, waylaid and eat unbalanced “meals.” The beauty of batching is the mix and match possibilities - not to mention that I don’t have to overthink what I have to cook at the end of a long or harried day. Thank you for all you do. You are an inspiration!
Luv this❤ I modified it a bit , dont like garlic powder everywhere And prefer freh vegetable , and use coriander with the beans and tumeric, Leon balm. 4 hours in the Kirchen, mow head free for the comi g week. Thanks and Greetings from germany 🌏
Try soaking dried beans 24 hours and then pressure cooking them for 1:00 or 1:15. They are so creamy and flavorful compared to the crunchy stale tasting ones you can buy in a can.
Love your videos...they are so helpful! You make everything simple and easy to follow! Can you make an easy eggroll in a bowl recipe? If you have one.. I can't find it.
I love your videos and have benefit a ton from them. Can you do one where you do a meal plan for someone trying to slim down. There is a lot of conflicting info abt how much protein is needed to lose fat.
I just found your channel and I love it already so much from this first video. I will 100% try this. The macros is very much appreciated and a sign that you care a lot about the viewers.
You ever cook quinoa in the instant pot? I switched over to that and I'll never go back. I'ts so easy. The hack is to spray cooking spray inside the metal pot first (I use avocado oil spray) - I know you don't like oil but it's not enough like you're eating it, it's just to keep it from sticking.
My Costco has Toor Dal (split pigeon peas, often used in Indian cuiisine, among others) 21 grams of protein per serving - so yummy! They also have Thin Kan-to Asian noodles, 10 grams of protein per cup - very versatile. Both have a great shelf life.
I just love these ideas!! Just recently re-started my plant based journey. I will DEFINITELY make very next store trip. Great ideas for meals for friends who have recently had surgery or sick etc., (for meat eaters) thanks for the great content!!!!
This was a monumental effort. Your knowledge and personality are exceptional. We are doing these with my daughter, who starts Uni next week. You are a FRIGGIN' champion my friend. Thank you
I LOVE your content and have purchased both e cookbooks. I have a request for some recipe modifications. Is there any chance you could figure out a 1200-1500 calorie recipe and also a way to boost the protein to like 120-150 grams of protein for your over 30 female audience? I usually cannot eat all the food and so I change it to either a third or half the recipe but then don’t want to lose out on the higher protein needs for my body. Thank you sir! I really enjoy all the effort you put into your videos and recipes. I absolutely love them.
This is fabulous! Thank you for sharing! I am just getting back to working out and running and meal prep is key to my not picking the first awful foods I can get my hands on after a workout (I don't eat before workouts, usually about 4 hours or more between a meal and a workout). I appreciate ya! ✌🏾💜
I love these meal prep videos. I am going to do this one today, it is perfect for my calorie intake. Thank you so much Derek!!!! I really need and appreciate the help. I suck with preparing my foods, that's why I eat out so much and fail at eating healthy 30%-40% of the time 😭, I'm a little bit of a mess, but I am ALWAYS trying and never giving up. I need to take all your meal prep videos and write down each meal prep at a time and have them stored. Again, thank you so much, best vegan channel !!! 🙏💙
I watched this this morning and headed out to my Costco for the ingredients. I’m halfway through prep and enjoying this. My kitchen smells great! Thanks for these recipes. I purchased your cookbook too. Happy to support!
Thanks bro! I ve had a loooong time without watching videos on YT that actually are relaxing, cause I ve focused a lot on productivity. Now I am back for some relax and Your videos are just perfect, I can feel good vibe :D And Your meals are looking good, I will definitely try some of them ;)
I always appreciate that you keep cost in mind and use readily accessible ingredients that even folks in a hurry and can put together into a balanced cruelty free meal
Love your videos! I just whipped up the hemp seed dressing. I subbed a lime for the lemon and dried parsley because I was out of dill and it's still SO delicious and very ranch-y! Definitely gonna make this a staple in my meal prep!
First-time viewer here. Love the look of these recipes and have put them in my upcoming meal list. The one thing I’d suggest for future macro breakdowns is a value for the fibre. It’s more (as) important than protein for overall health and wellbeing.
I agree, it is more important. With whole, high fibre foods likes these the fibre is off the charts high! Like wayyy more than the RDI so I don't bother to mention it. You're not going to get more fibre than you get in meals like this. I will take your suggestion into consideration though. Thanks for watching Curtis.
YES!!!!!! OMG I NEEDED THIS VIDEO!!!! Thank you so much!!! youve helped me become and stay healthy vegan ... LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! a grocery list is the only thing that would make it better❤
Hi from Alberta!! Thank you so much for this meal prep video, it looks so yummy and it really helps to be able to buy all of these items from Costco. 😊 Please do more Costco meal preps ❤❤
My only critique is buying dry beans instead of canned and cooking them from scratch is so much cheaper and they taste better, I reserve the liquid from chickpeas and make baked goods with it! I freeze it in ice cube trays and each cube is 3 tablespoons of aquafaba, replacing 1 egg. Just makes the most sense for my needs!
I’m not vegan but I cook vegan meals and when someone tells me they want to go vegan I always recommend this channel! I am also not strictly vegan but I get great ideas from Derek for eating more healthy plant based food

Thank you so much for this video... excellent food prep.JJ
Never go vegan.
I totally go to Costco to get the big bag of carrots just for my horses 🤣 that part cracked me up!
Thank you!
Lol
Give them an extra carrot for me 😊❤
I must confess - I am a bit of a "junk food" vegan. Seeing all these fresh ingredients and how you prepared them with such ease has inspired me. I'm going to try these for sure :)
Please don't forget about making a whole food plant based casserole recipes. You are The Man For This.
Love this!!! More meal prep videos for the week plz 😊👍🏻❤
You got it!
I love your meal prep recipes! Especially the sauces. I’m in Ontario so nice to see Canadian content. Can’t always find ingredients if Costco not in Canada.

You're welcome!
Yes! I find that batch cooking is the way I stay on track. It takes about as much time to cook 1 portion as it does to cook 6!
I'm always vegan curious trying to add more and more vegan means to my diet
11:46am TU for the (Costco) meal prep for 5 days. This takes away figuring out what to cook & multiple shopping trips for me as a newbie going fresh, plant based! My husband, not a total PB convert, & I are very Excited to discover your videos & look fwd to viewing more.
Awesome! Enjoy :D
Oooh I am so excited because I have a Costco so close to me! ❤ but have to remember to make half size portions 😂
I ❤ that you bought real food and nothing pre-made. Love it!
Omg random side note, y’all’s plants in the background are fantastic. Why do plants make me so happy 😂.
Started watching your vids again to get back on track.
I’m down 12lbs ❤
Love the Costco and meal prep combo! Thanks so much
You’re welcome!
I love you still have your Rav4. I sold mine 2 years ago and saw it around town. It's 27 years old!!!!
I LOVE my Rav4. It's such a great vehicle.
I will love all three of these meals. So healthy, flavorful and easy.
So good to see you getting your mileage out of that Rav man! Honestly wish I could find one in as good of shape as yours.
Three great options again for meal prep. I love your meal preps and meals in general because sometimes I get in a meal decision funk.
You should own shares in garlic and onion powder. Haha ❤
I do use costco for some things but they don't carry enough organic for me...peppers, potatoes, beans and so on.
Thanks for inspiration 🙂👍
Interesting that you say that because most of what was used in this video is all organic at the 4 Costco’s I shop at.
Hi, Derek, I love WFPB food! Greethings from Croatia!❤❤❤😊
Epic video, man! These types of meal prep videos take so long to put together, but provide so much value. Awesome work!
your videos are amazing love the cooking and working i recently went back plant based and i feel amazing more energy when i don't feel like working out i simply watch your videos and i get so motivated love your recipes they are all so good
Yummm!! ❤I need a guy just like you... ❤ Thank you for another great video, I hope you guys are doing great...
I just found those frozen bags of fire roasted veg at my Costco and they are soooooo good!
THEY ARE THE BEST!
When you give temperature directions, it would be helpful if you also added the temperature in Celsius on the screen!

Surprised you’re not using your InstantPot for the rice & quinoa. Comes out perfect & pretty quick. Just a thought. Love the videos.
Amo que ese super tenga muchos productos organicos. En mi país hay pocos productos y tienen poca cantidad
I get such good vides, and info, from your vids, and have for many years now (I know, everyone says this, but it's still true, lol)!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it 💪
I believe you're the king of meal prep videos!👍
The breakfast hash looks 🔥 😊
It’s so good if I do so say myself!
Ooh love this! Would also love a cost breakdown too!

Just finding these meal prep videos now and I think they are awesome!
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback, overdue for a new one soon!
This channel is pure gold, so nice and so well explained, thanks for sharing your meals recipes sir.
I love your videos and have benefit a ton from them. Can you do one where you do a meal plan for someone trying to slim down. There is a lot of conflicting info abt how much protein is needed to lose fat.
Love meal prep ideas! I’ll have to try that hemp dressing and the tofu dinner meal looks so, so gooood!
I've made the hemp dressing 3 times now! I love it!!
I want to come to your house for all of your yummy meals. You make plant based food look AMAZING.

Fabulous Derek for putting forward some economical easy vegan meals🥰
The frozen roasted veggies you got are so fire. 😋
Amazing recipes! I love that you included the Costco grocery shop first and all of the macros !!!
Thank you!
These all look amazing and actually look like would keep nicely for 5 days 🙏 Thanks for the inspo!

I have been watching you and Krystal for years and just love your videos and ebooks, from a plant-based Melbourne Aussie ❤
Hi Derek! I wanted to if you've ever done a video on lectins? It would really help if you could
Hi Crystal
Love how affordable these meal prep ideas are 🖤
oh and they’re all gluten free :’) i appreciate you sm

I love toor dal. We call it arhar daal as well. Having it with a garnishing of ghee fried with cumin and mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Super love this video and all the yummy food. Can you please show how you calculate the macros and measure food?
Oh neat! I go to Costco all the time and need a good High Protein meal prep plan to complement my current weight training-focused workout schedule!

Amazing meal prep 😋 I always forget about the quinoa I have that same one. It might be expired.
These recipes all look great. Thanks for another awesome video. 🌱✌🏻
Great video! I am inspired to buy some wild rice. It's been ages since I've had that plant food.
Great stuff. I will be making it.
That was a great video. I really appreciate it. If you can make a low carb high protein meal prep sometime, that would be good.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Derek! Any tips on how to keep the avocados from browning for a full 5 days? Many thanks and sending much love from Ottawa 💪🇨🇦

Have you ever used Bragg's liquid aminos? It's a healthy vegan substitute for soy sauce.
soy sauce is vegan?
Hi there! Great recipes. What would you suggest as a substitute for tofu? I'd like to stay away from soy.
I have 30 more days on my 90 day fruits fast but once it’s over I’m making this 💪🏽💪🏽💯
OOOOooo! YAY! Thank you! My favs: COSTCO and HIGH PROTEIN VEGAN MEALS!
Great inspo for simple delicious vegan meal prep!! Thanks for the macro breakdowns!
Great ideas, as always Derek! Thanks so much for sharing all your food ideas with us :)
