Just took off the same thing,I took it apart and I have the same issue, glad to see it's a common problem, thank you for the part number, should make finding that pack much easier.
I have an 04 Impala, the leak seems to come from the middle of the radiator, engine is not overheating, coolant doesn't boil, it leaks when its parked or warming up the vehicle. Could this be the problem?
great video. super helpful. I have a similar problem but on a 2012 chevy impala. for the life of me i couldn't see where the coolant was leaking from. different setup but i think this might be it though. it is really leaking good and very suddenly.
Now, do I have to mess with my riming belt or anything, or can I just take it off. Before I looked on RUclips, I couldn't figure out why or where my coolant was leaking since I replaced my radiator.
My impala coolant would boil/bubble. Mechanic said it’s the cap. Cap changed but can tell it leaks from there when on but still Boils/bubbles , but it doesn’t when a/c is on. Would this fix the problem. Also would leak a lot of coolant when car cools down
Got a pontiac 3400 two hoses are cut to the back. From my understanding certain hose and has to be put on the right way. I was going to just take an extra radiator hose but not sure if that will work
@@GoldenChiild615 I need some help trying to fix my girl car just can't tell where it coming from...part of me want to say the water pump but I think it's something else could you tell me your experience or any good ideas would be highly appreciated!
Great video buddy...somethung went out this am on my 2009..Police car..Impala LT..3900 ENGINE...HOPE ITS WHAT U SAID...BUT THE ANTIFREEZE RAN OUR THE BOTTOM ON THE PASSENGER FRONT SIDE...JUST INSIDE THE PASS. FRONT TIRE AND JUST BELOW THE RESOURVOUR, WHERE I POURED IT IN

Glad it helped. thanks for watching and good luck with the fix.
Nice video, stands up very well to the others and would certainly have shown me exactly what I needed. Also thanks for showing us the NAPA part number
Thanks for the compliment, Thanks for watching and I hope your project goes well.
You’re a life savor. I could not figure what that piece was called or how to get to it. Saw coolant spraying out of it. Thank you so much

Same I double checked everything hopefully this is it
Was this the problem? I have something similar on my 2007?
@@alexbauer6574 No it wasn't. I must have a different model. it ended up being my water pump. water pump on mine is in a similar place.
Thank you . I was wondering what that noise was

no, you shouldn't take off the timing belt. if anything, you MAY have taken off the serpentine belt.

could be the issue and for how cheap the new ones are I would give it a try. especially if you are doing the work yourself
Thank you

not sure about all that
Same for a 03 impala 3400?
Could this be the case with the 2008 3.5 liter engine??
not sure because I think the one I worked on was a 3.4 L, dlso they could be different
In your video u said 3.8. Is it a 3.4? Or 3.8?
Would this be the same for a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT?
only if it is the same engine
Thanks
Great video
So could be the same if i have a 2008 3.5 chevy impala?
not sure if the 3.5 is the same as the 3.8 that I worked on in the video
I replaced the water pump, thermostat, and temperature sensor.. im just so lost on what else it could be.. but its a leak but don't know where
@@GoldenChiild615 did you find it!
