Juan Gabriel was a tremendous performer, there won’t be another like him ever in Mexico one of his kind. His shows were unique. A real showman, he used to improvise his lyrics, you name it, we miss him so much, he left a huge legacy forever.
I flew to Mexico City from Miami with my late mother to be at this performance. It was a celebration of his 25th anniversary as a musician. The show was nearly four hours long without an intermission. I will never forget that night.

It was a privilege to have known him. To know him was to love him. He was such a sweet, sensitive soul in person and it shows off on stage. To me he was Alberto but to the world Juan Gabriel. His fans will never really know how truly a genius he was for songwriting. So many of his written songs will probably never come to light.
