Lord hear my prayers. I’m so discouraged as a single mother trying to make it on my own both of my sons are special needs. Im ready to give up.I’m constantly struggling to buy groceries, struggling to pay bills but with you by my side Lord I cannot fail. So as I continue to struggle to provide for my children, Jesus I know you will give me strength.
My dear sister in Christ, the moment I read your comment, I asked my heavenly Father to open the windows of heaven and pour out on you and your family all the blessings you need. He has helped me in moments like these as well, and He loves when we run to Him for help, in His kingdom and mercy He will never be silent when you cry out to Him. May the Lord meet all your needs today and give you strength to continue waking in faith. In Jesus name I pray, amen
I know how short of time a mother is, but wake up a little earlier and before letting the worries of the world in, talk with our Lord, be in relationship with Him. Give Him thanks for what you have not yet seen but have asked for. Ask for wisdom to make wise choices, ask for discernment to know the right pathway to walk, ask for your life to be filled with love and kindness. Ask for your strength to be upheld so you can care fir your boys, pray for them. Ask how you can help others to His glory. Be involved in your local Church community. Set a stable good example for your boys. NOTICE, you have not asked for money or possessions, God knows what you need and want and will add such things to you. As things and circumstances show up say thank you. Trust is so important to our Lord, honesty and faithfulness never goes unrewarded but remember it must be genuine, you can't manipulate God, HE knows the heart of each one of us. Get into the Word, your whole world will change. May our faithful God bless you and your boys each day. 🙏✝️💜

Thank you Centurion, i believe , hearing your account and thank you Luke for writing down that detail. Yeshuaaah, You are the Redeemer of my children. Remember them day in day out , King Jesus. Amen
Lord, soften my heart. I have withstood so many attacks. All I wanted to do was to ease my brothers expected pain, according to the stupidities of our leaders. Due to their own distrust....
Well if God is who sustains us. His right hand sustains us! Therefore the thief that was on His right was the one who entered paradise. Psalm 63:8 reads: “My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.” 🙏
Wow . How close the thief was to God on his death bed. He could hear God's voice. That is the death we would all face if not for God's Son doing it for us all. Their legs were BROKEN.
I just like to say thank you for your heart for the gospel as far as the story of the thief on the cross there is this companion Bible book that shed light on this subject, which is very interesting if you can check it out. Thank you.
We must share the Good News that we have Hope in the death, burial and resurrection and we must obey what Jesus Christ told Nicodemus how to be born again or we cannot see the Kingdom of God 🙌💯
True to his profession, Luke a physician well known, had access to the forensics team of the day ,by which he wrote about CHRIST'S experience at the cross .
The world is a master at putting the wicked with the righteous and making them look all the same . The repentant thief saw and heard things on that day that made him think and consider his ways .
In turning his head to the repentant thief who entered eternity with a promise . The Lord turned away from the unrepentant thief who Entered eternity with nothing.
I would like to believe that the criminal who mocked Jesus was on Jesus' left, and the the criminal who asked to be with Jesus in His kingdom was on His right. In Matthew 25:31-46, about the parable of the sheep and the goats, the righteous are on His right, and the cursed ones, the goats are on His left.
he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ 21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12:16-21)
Hello, I'm scratching my head a little on the death bed confession. While I think that in the case of the repentant thief. There was a realization that he was Christ, though at one point he may not have believed so because he was initially joining in the mocking . Now for those of us who know "about" Jesus Christ but decide in the last moments to repent thinking that they can reject him, live their way and then be saved by mere words have another thing coming. This is why I reject the premise of death bed confessions because it goes against what true belief and faith actually is. These are words that we take very lightly. There are many in the world who have knowledge that Jesus is Messiah and think that a scripted "salvation" prayer is all that is needed. Is a scripted prayer faith?belief? Faith is a very active way of living. How did we know that Abraham had faith unless he actually lifted his arm. So how can you have a mindset of rejecting Christ with the idea of "repenting" on your death bed and assume that you are saved? Hope my rambling makes some kind of sense.
There is no excuse for what the "evil" criminal said, but given the torture and pain he was in, I find it strange that we lack compassion for such characters in the Bible. Maybe he wasn't trying to shame Jesus but escape his terrible circumstances, which were of his own making I know. The fact is 99 percent of human beings in that position if being killed and tortured with God will and have made the same request, please save me and yourself if you are God. The miracle here is that in the middle of torment a man asked for enternal mercy instead of immediate relief. And Jesus words came true, those who wish to save their lives will lose it....
The man who was to die next to Jesus is still dead and nonexistent. Under Jesus' 1,000 year rule of this earth, that man will be resurrected back into existence. Acts 24:15. He will find himself on an earth being transformed into a paradise. Of course, Jesus will be ruling from heaven. Never to be seen again by humans. 1 Timothy 6:16.
What either we were never taught, or seem to forget is that the cross as a symbol, in times closer to Christ, was considered a shameful thing. Yes we glory in it now, but it was a very offensive thing to be seen with a cross. Consider that.
Dear brother, Contrary to accepted modern Christian tradition, Jesus did not tell the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in paradise". The modern traditional rendition of Luke verse 43 goes like this (I am also including verse 42 for more clarification). “And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me WHEN thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” This one of the of the go-to scripture passages when people attempt to give biblical proof of the “immortal soul”, but there are a couple of problems with these verses. First, the thief asks Jesus to remember him WHEN He comes into possession of His kingdom, which He has not yet done (see Daniel 2:34 & 35, also Revelation 21:1-5). He will come into His kingdom in the New Earth. The other problem is the confusion over a misplaced comma. The original Greek did not have chapter and verse divisions, nor did it have ANY punctuation. The Bible says that men wrote the scriptures as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit, but it does not say that in the future men would punctuate the word of God by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The punctuation came centuries later and was place there by scholars who meant well, but as we all do, they misplaced or left out commas (question marks, periods, colons and semicolons) in certain scripture verses that can change the context of the verse, sometimes drastically. One of those misplace commas appears in the accepted version of Luke 23:43. It reads, “Verily I say unto thee (comma) Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” When it should read, “Verily I say unto thee Today (comma) shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Instead of Jesus saying, Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. He is saying, Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise. How can we know that this is the truth? Look at John 20:11-17. In verse 17, Mary attempts to embrace Jesus, but He says, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father”. This means two things. First, a full day and a half after speaking to the thief on the cross, He tells Mary that He had not yet gone to be with His Father in Heaven. And secondly, the paradise that Jesus told the thief about must be a place other than Heaven. This scripture passage does not teach that we have “immortal souls”, nor that we will spend eternity in Heaven. The traditional interpretation of this scripture passage, which is based upon ancient Greek pagan teachings that the first Protestants held on to when they abdicated from the Roman Catholic Church, contradicts hundreds of other Bible scriptures and passages about the mortality of man and what happens upon our death. May God bless your faith in Him and may His peace be with you always.
I am laughing at that criminal's claim. Criminal up to the end. He didn't even take the opportunity being in the presence of the Messiah to repent. Surely, he was Lucifer's follower.
You did good until your death bed repentance explanation. Jesus shed his blood for the new covenant. That had not happened yet to this point, so Jesus forgave signs at his word but now through his word, being born of water and spirit through immersion in water are sins forgiven now. Any other way is an anathema. Your primrose pathway is leading 100s into hellfire! I pray you let go of your mentors teaching and repent and seek Gods forgiveness… He’s waiting to receive all who would come to him

I wonder what judgement the thief that went to heaven with Jesus faced though? Thank you Pastor David for your teachings. Soooo amazing ❤ God bless

Can one follower here say this was not the greatest sermon, 3other than on the Mount of Beatitudes? Our Father sang when he heard David.
Pastor Lance replies - A good one indeed
The thief never had to deal with all the doctrines.
Like we do today.
I think he was the most blessed believer ever.
He saw God in the flesh.
He saw more than met the eye . He saw a King who would conquer death and inherit his kingdom and if possible couid save him .
The Crucifixion of Jesus WAS worse than others. He was beaten worse and had a crown of thorns scratched into his forehead
he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
(Luke 12:16-21)
Luke also interviewed Mary, mother of Jesus. She could have told him.

I wish I could understand the biblical context
He took on our sins on the cross.
It wasn’t the same death as everyone prior.
Gestas was on the left and Dismas was on the right
There were two thieves; one of them is you.
There is no excuse for what the "evil" criminal said, but given the torture and pain he was in, I find it strange that we lack compassion for such characters in the Bible.
