    Don't mind me Oboists but when I listen to this music, I visualize a little pool with a duck family singing

      I agree. I'm very fond of oboes, and I thought it was a little cute that the sound was once described as "if a duck were a songbird".

      Well, Beethoven himself did once depict a quail with an oboe.

    I remember this piece fondly. First chamber piece I played in college, granted it was an arrangement for 3 clarinets. I still hear myself humming it every now and then

    Who would believe Oboe and English Horn can do such an harmonious interpretation, veey beautiful

    • @late8641
      @late8641 4 месяца назад +4

      It's not that surprising since the English horn is really an "alto oboe", the name is just misleading.

    • @DrMadelin
      @DrMadelin 3 месяца назад +2

      It's also not a transposition if that's what you mean by "interpretation". The piece was written for two oboes and English horn after Beethoven observed a performance written for the same instrumentation by Johann Wenth.

    This is definitely a great look into the earlier, more Classical Era Beethoven work. I love it.

      It is written already in the description! Composed: 1795. And I don't think Mozart ever use Corno Anglais (English Horn) in his music, I think the only used Corno Basetto (or Bassetto)

      Beethoven was not always anger, strength and passion, he also has happy, simple or children's works and many he composed after 1805 onwards, so if you are going to criticize Mozart's music for being always happy or childish, I recommend that you first listen all the work of Beethoven 😉
      Listen to these works by Beethoven that do not sound with that fury that their fans boast so much about, this is just a sample, I missed more, but then I added them.
