  • First Peter 1:13-25 calls Christians to pursue holiness, and the Spirit moves through the use of various means to help us become more holy. This session examines the concern for personal holiness that is the fruit of a true awakening of God’s Spirit. It stresses the importance of personal purity as a sign of conversion, reminding people that God calls His children to live in a manner that is set apart from the world and that the Lord often draws others to Himself by using the personal holiness of believers as a witness.

I’m convinced of this Truth and I’m convicted of my need of sanctification that renders a more manifest sign of the power of the Gospel of Jesus to transform a sinner like me unto a Holiness that is of God Himself. 01/01/24

We are in this world, but not of this world. This world is not our home, we are just passing through.
1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
This is the hope of a resurrection and an eternity with our Lord.
The lost have no such hope. All they have is the momentary happiness here on Earth.

    @ 32:43 & 33:40.
    Matthew 5:36
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
    Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
    Ephesians 5:4
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Whereabouts in the Bible does it say that Angels are envious? Isn't envy a sin so why would the Angels in Heaven be envious of us?

That envy referred to is not a destructive envy. Not, it is unfair that you get to know and I don't. That is devilish. The envy referred to with angels is to search out and glorify God. All that they desire, is to obey and glorify God. how awesome is that!!
