I had surgery for kidney cancer last Sept. I was extremely lucky that they caught it early. It was a single 5mm tumor and most of it was external to my kidney, so they only had to take out 5% of the kidney. I was down for 6 weeks after the surgery, but other than that it wasn't that big of a deal.
Incompetence in the active duty health care system and the VA is killing us!
Going to the military doctors is agreeing to have malpractice performed on you. Feel so bad. Lucky during my enlistment I was young and nothing happened to me.
Prayers to Amanda.
God bless your fast recovery Amanda! Thanks for another quality interview Mike! God bless you brother!
My dad was a Vietnam veteran. He made an appointment in July 2000 with the VA to have his chronic pain evaluated. They scheduled him for April 2001. He passed from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia acquired via Agent Orange in March 2001. The assistance from the VA was a colossal cruel joke. Everyone deserves better. Thanks for sharing your story.
God Bless her and major respect, great Show brother !!!
While on deployment I started to get dark spots on my hands, and a bruise like thing on back of my left leg. It all showed up on deployment and 6 years later they still say its an allergic reaction.
look into the comments I left on here, those medicines will help keep you squared away brother!
I worked active duty for years with an autoimmune disease that was perpetually dismissed.
I’m now living in a nursing home (36 y.o.), getting no medical help from the VA, with an expanded neuro-immune disease.
It all started in service.
And multiple other troops from same base are getting diagnosed with autoimmune diseases and cancer.
[Malmstrom AFB]
Man thats rough and im sorry to hear it. Can i ask what neuro disease?
I had melanoma in germany about 2.5 years ago. They almost tried to make me wait a couple weeks just to schedule an appointment to be seen. Not counting the time fkr paperwork to clear and referrals to be made and again the wait for that. The military healthcare will kill you if you let it.

I hope your melanoma troubles have resolved.
Too many military docs are pitiful. I even had a terrible experience at Walter Reed. The VA, of course, is bad.
And for more detail, I was having trouble swallowing/speaking and inflammation…over three years. They told me acid reflux and I said it wasn’t…it always took privately obtained non govt docs to make breakthroughs.

It’s a mix of a few autoimmune diseases.
I have NMOSD, with strong features of Sjogren’s and Lupus. Some inflammatory diseases of connective tissue and brain/optic nerves/spine.
Treated way late, so I may be terminal.
I was at malmstrom afb for 10 years I was diagnosed with colorectal adenocarcinoma last January, this week was my first week back after having surgery to remove the tumor. Still active duty for now.
PRAYING FOR YOU AND EVEN IF IT'S HARD SOMETIMES PUT ALL YOUR TRUST IN GOD AMEN 🙏
There’s the answer 1:00 minute in. Unfortunate
Such a damn shame. This is what socialized medicine would look like in the US. Active duty and vets deserve better!
I was followed at Walter Reed my entire young life for dysplastic nevus (moles). When I was 39 my civilian dermatologist took off a mole, it was melanoma insitu, lower level than stage 1. Ever since I see a dermatologist every six months, if it’s suspicious it comes off. Nothing to fool around with.
Hey brother, hope you're doing well! Make sure to look into Fabendazole, Soursop, Ivermectin, Bromelain, Quercetin, Berberin, Zinc, Chaga Mushroom, dandelion root, Black Seed Oil, Curcumin, Serrapeptase, Artemisia Annua, Chlorine Dioxide, Garlic, Ginger, Vitamin D & C. Those natural medicines will help keep you cleaned out. Stay FAR AWAY from anything pharma out there going forward, it's compromised. Blessings!💪
I'm a stage 3 melanoma survivor (2016). They never found where mine started. But between the biopsy and diagnosis, I only waited three days. Then from diagnosis to surgery I had a full month.
