Luke Newton sir....I will say he can grown on me. Previous seasons, I didn't really notice him but after watching him on the show and in interviews, I was like hmmm ok ok...I'm on board. I get it. haha!
Great reactions! Even though you are a Kanthony girl, you cheered my Penelope on with her makeover and Colin's staring at her! And to Colin's getting DRAGGED - so delicous, even though we all saw it in the preview clip. And ending the first episode with Colin's threat to ruin Lady Whistledown. Shondaland knows how to deliver the Drama with a capital "D."
Oh def cheering them on…I really do like them. I don’t know if they will reign over kanthony just yet but so far they are doing a really good job of swaying me hahahaha! So we shall see what happens in part 2 which looks dramatic as all hell.
Episode 2 …the ending. Oooooo I got the butterflies…I hope you will still stick around to watch the rest of the reactions because boy oh boy I get crazy hahah 🤣🤣
I adored your reaction to this episode!!! Just FINALLY seeing Polin’s beautiful love story come to life is EVERYTHING!!!💖💕💖 I can’t wait for your reactions for part 2. It’s all gonna be sooooo good 😊
You know it was a great way to start because the audience knows he is going to fall in love with the Penelope..👀🤦♀️ I can’t wait to see how this all goes down.
Same. I absolutely hate this 2 part thing. It just personally takes me out of it. I would prefer weekly episodes over this 2 part thing 🤦♀️. Thanks for watching! I hope you scream and giggle with me throughout the next couple of episodes ❤️

Awww thanks!!! Thanks so much for watching ❤️❤️ appreciate it. I do love talking about the show even though I know people kinda just come to watch the reaction itself.
I'm clearly in the minority on this, but I never thought Colin had that much to apologize for, regarding his season 2 comment. Even watching it the first time. I felt for Penelope's heartbreak, for sure- her hopes had risen so high, just to get dashed so brutally. But I never saw it as him being mean or hurtful, and I was honestly surprised to see all the vitriol directed at him afterwards. After all, what did he really say? That he wasn't courting Penelope (true) and that he had no plans to (also true, as far as he knew at the time). If she wasn't in love with him, and we heard that exact exchange, wouldn't it just sound like any close platonic friend who is always being asked if they're dating their friend and having to explain (again) that no, seriously, they're REALLY just friends? It only hit the way it did because we felt Penelope's heartbreak in that moment. But as much as we all want it, he doesn't owe it to her to return her feelings. The fact that she was disappointed by this doesn't mean that he was cruel for saying it. People say he called her undesirable in front of those other potential suitors, but did he actually say that? Or did we (and Penelope) just assume that was the reason for his denial? Filling in the blanks in the most hurtful and painful way possible, because that's what people do. People say he found the very idea of courting her laughable, but did he actually say or mean that? Or did we just assume that his light, joking tone and their laughter were at her expense? Think about it only in terms of Colin's character for a minute. Is he the type of man who would openly make fun of *any* woman that way? Let alone his best friend who he is very protective of, and who he had just promised to take care of less than an hour before? Try to find a single example in all three seasons of anyone saying anything negative about Penelope (including herself) in front of Colin when he didn't immediately jump to her defense. He has always taken Penelope and her feelings seriously, more so than anyone else in her life, including Eloise. He just ditched those men in the middle of a conversation because he saw she was upset and wanted to check on her. And yet people are more than ready to believe that in that one moment, he just decided to disparage her to a random group of guys for laughs. It doesn't make any sense. One of our natural tendencies, when people hurt us, is to try to tear them down in return (even if only in our own thoughts) to try to mitigate the damage. This is why some men call a woman a bitch when she refuses their advances, and why we're tempted to write off people who criticize us as idiots or jerks, or worse. Because if we can make it their own failing, or lower our opinion of them, we don't have to feel as bad about their criticism/rejection/etc. Another tendency is to jump right to the most painful conclusion, because for some reason we feel like we're protecting ourselves from further pain by taking it all on in the moment. In the scene between Colin and Penelope at the Danbury ball, we see her do just this- making two negative assumptions about Colin's feelings/intentions that we know aren't true. When he compliments her dress, she assumes he's mocking her. And when he suggests they go somewhere private to talk, she assumes it's because he's ashamed to be seen with her. But we the audience just saw him interrupt a conversation with two men (who were part of the group he was talking to in season 2, btw) to inquire after her, and when they tried to brush it off as if she were beneath his notice, he straight up ditched them to go check on her, with no pretense whatsoever. He is obviously not ashamed to be seen with her. And when she calls him cruel for his comments the season before, we cheer her on for calling him out and "putting him in his place." But was he really being cruel? Or is this yet another example of Penelope jumping to the worst possible conclusion in her pain, embarrassment, and anger? His comment did hurt her feelings, and might have hurt her chances with those gentlemen, so she has every right to be upset and to tell him so. But he clearly never intended her any harm (social or personal), and as soon as it is brought to his attention he immediately owns up to it, apologizes, and tries to make amends, despite not even remembering the incident. It's also worth noting that so many of the people who wanted him to suffer and grovel are the same ones who were mad at him for not just getting over the Whistledown reveal, which was a much bigger deal, with much broader ramifications. But they're only seeing Colin's actions in light of how they impact Penelope. When he hurts her feelings, he should be made to suffer and pay for it. But when the shoe is on the other foot and he's the one feeling hurt and betrayed, he's a jerk for not just getting over it, simply because they want to see her happy and in love.
I don’t disagree with you. And I def hear you and what you are trying to say…it’s the drama. For me the drama would be better if he had to work to get her attention more…in these kinds of shows people just want them to work for it. I don’t agree with people saying he should get over the Penelope thing though…like I get why he was mad and he had every right to be. In regards to what he said..it’s because the way he said it was I would never dream of courting Penelope not in my wildest fantasies…that to me did sound like he could never like someone like her. Was he trying to be mean or spiteful no…Penelope is his friend. But he was also prob trying go be someone who he wasn’t in front of the other men. He could have said oh no, we are just friends. I don’t see her that way. That would have sounded more normal to Penelope’s ears. But to hear someone you love say oh I would never date them not in my wildest dreams…yikes.
@@thewatchaholic You're right- I wasn't saying that he has nothing to apologize for. His wording was unnecessarily strong (honestly, I think this is part of him not realizing how he felt about her yet- he protests too much). But it seems obvious to me that it wasn't intentional, and I can see how he wouldn't realize how it sounded. It was a mistake (a hurtful one) rather than callousness or cruelty. Penelope had every right to be upset about it, and to tell him so. I just think that, in her pain and anger, she in turn went too far, accusing him of being cruel. Totally understandable, but still wrong and hurtful. But we're so deep in her POV that people just accept her take on it without question. As far as making him work for it, I'm all for that. But there's a difference between wanting him to work for it, and wanting him to suffer. Too many people just seem to want revenge, as if he's personally responsible for all Penelope's suffering the past two seasons. Those are the people I take issue with.
