I love Fun because they made songs about real life, real struggles that real people have, but without the doom-and-gloom feel of the emo genre. For the record I’m NOT knocking emo music or punk rock or anything else, but sometimes I want some music that’s easier on the ears but that still honors the pain and suffering of the human condition. That’s where Fun’s music shines.
It's what I've always thought about their music. It's about uniting good music and poetry.

Who 's still here in 2019
A friend showed me this song when I was 15 years old. I turn 27 in two days from now, as I type this. This song has become a source of nostalgia for me and I hope that it’s played at my funeral in some form or fashion
i've listen to this song hundreds of times already. it has that feel good song that i'd love to listen while travelling during summer.
I first heard this song last year (2021) on the radio while I was driving and I was like 'holy shit is this fun??' and it was!!! And honestly I love the Some Nights album with all of my heart, but this song speaks volumes more to me than any of those did because of how much I have struggled with mental health since I was a little kid (back in the day when their first album was new!) And even though the song isn't really about that as a whole, I think it made a big difference on me, and even though it's hard sometimes, I don't want to die anymore.

@@syanthararaehandra344 all pursued their solo careers, different solo interests. Nate (lead singer) wanted a solo Album which drove the divide, Jack wanted his own thing (now known as Bleachers), and Andrew went on to be a part of many successful projects with his wide range of talents

Interesting, because it should make most females happy as it's about being in love and staying with your woman, though it's your instincts to go. It is a song though that's perfect in that it's mixed feelings as a male with the sudden loss of freedom. Suddenly you now have to grow up and not take off on someone because you're in love with the person. Always a lot of angst in that when you're a male, and the melody beautifully reflects that. Very artistically smart of you to pick up on that.
