@user-fg2og3tx. I would totally disagree with. I have lived in US for 28 yrs and I cannot regret. If you have a professional job you get time off as well as FMLA, you can also get sabbatical for one year, you go to kenya and come back you still have a job. I love US and cannot compare it to kenya.

@user-fg2og3tx9u That's easier said than done. A professor from Kisii was just murdered last year with his wife in the same mansion they built when they came to Kenya for vacation. Talk of stress! The only stress I have is people from home asking for money as if we have it underneath the pillow just thinking about them and some are very unappreciative. In the past few years, almost $100K was sent home and I've been here for 30 years just calculate how many homes one can build or businesses but no thanks, coming back, no! Not even in a coffin. They'll try to exhume my body to look for dollars. No! My kids were born hapa USA and I have grandkids, leave them here for who? I wish we all could worship God and that's the only peace there is while traveling here on earth.

Personally, I believe that you can have the best of both worlds. In some fields, it is possible to work remotely, especially if you are in certain fields. I do that alot.
Covid helped a lot - I've lived in Europe for nearly 25 years. At least over a quarter of the year, I am at home. Combining AL with remote works well, Kabisa. Having a bit of both is a good thing. I.e. the £€$ and the weather, as well as the family. I guess it just needs planning

My aunt used to live in Naire kiangare but were kicked out during the clashes. I would advise her to also get some ducks or geese and a cat. They do a good job killing snakes. I've been in the us for 23 years and there's no place that makes me feel at home like Kenya. She's absolutely right about her decisions to return. There's plenty of Kenyans here that are financially stable but mentally and emotionally not doing well.

What a brave girl. Have lived in UK for over 25 years. I can relate to this story 💯%.
There are few categories of Kenyans in Diaspora.
    - Those who have settled and are "happy " and have no intentions of relocating back home.
-Those who have plans to relocate one day .
-The confused ones who can't make up their minds because of different reasons.
-And the "PRAPPED " ones .
These are people where their bodies are in Diaspora and minds are in Kenya. Am one of them.
Was really scared when Emilly said she was thinking of a dead person was better than her. I compare to myself to my gone friends too.

Most retirees live in their own homes, I bet you just do not know that. America is a good place to retire, you do not have to deal with lawlessness just like that lunatic who caused fire in Embakasi, retirees go for months or years before they can get their benefits, crime, bad roads and other social problems. Quick recovery. Yes, i agree with her, it's not a must for family history to determine whether you may get fibroids but it plays a major role eg check your aunt's from mum n dad's side. It may also be caused if one gets period at an early age but takes too long to get kids...or they get a kid like at 25 years n have a very big gap before they get the next kid. It may Also be caused by vitamin D deficiency...it's easier to get a kid once the fibroid is removed b4 it grows...once in pregnancy, any fibroid that was growing starts to shrink

Miano I like your channel keep things real and affordable for ordinary Kenyans who have been fed on housing they cannot afford. Do mabati housing. Clay bricks housing . Wood housing. Hata mud housing. Every body has their own starting point. Bora nyumba you can afford and say BYE BYE Landlord!!!!

Great vlog and brilliant conversation packed with education and advise. The sad thing and has nothing to do with vlog but Kenya love for capitalism ignoring the destruction its bring to social goods that should be enjoyed by all regardless of status.

I really enjoyed the conversation and liked what I was hearing from you and your guest. I The part that got me was the NHIF bit. Its seems Kenya as a country we no regard to universal basic products. Things like education, health and housing are basic human right and not a privilege. I watch, read and listen daily to some very sad stories across our beloved country. Sad seeing children that have passed in their exams but cannot advance to the next level because the parents cannot afford or where a family member is sick but denied access to treatment due to lack of funds. All this pain is because we have decide to fully adopt an evil system of capitalism where money has a greater value than our own humanity and dignity. Healthcare, education ... sacred and should be made available to everyone regardless if you have got NHIF or not.

Great conversation Miano with that lady. Kenya has very many problems, but its her decision to return to kenya. I disagree with her regarding mental health in US, kenya is even worse with mental health issues, at least in US you can get help if one needs help but I agree with her regarding paying for NHIF which is very critical when one gets sicks, can come in handy.
