One-piece for track riding and going fast. Two-piece if you're just doing some street/mountain riding. I almost always use my two-piece because I can remove the top-half when getting something from the store or getting food without looking like an absolute tool in a one-piece
I recommend a two piece suit for street. You can put your jacket away when stopped, going for a drink or a lunch. A one piece suit offers a higher degree of protection as it doesn't have a zipper that can become a weak spot, so is a No1 choice when going to track.
@@XxMidnightToker420xXwell I mean it’s a cheap bike that’s reliable and handles well because of how light it is it’s basically most peoples first bike besides an sv650 from what I see so makes sense why it’s mainly squids
One thing I learned for hard decisions is. Instead of getting one, why not both? I mean, it doesn’t matter just as long you wear one of them that is comfortable and more safer.
The reason motorcycle suits and jackets are tight is because when you crash and you break something you will stay in the shape of a person so the bones can be put back together easily
Some two-piece suits are designed to be worn with the jacket only. I have an Alpinestars suit with a longer jacket length and a bit of a tail. Works great for jacket-only riding.
But what's the point doing jacket only riding? Sure, your torso will keep it's skin, but what about your legs? Not too concerned with road rash on your thighs? I'm not doubting your abilities either. It's the morons that say "he came out of nowhere" all while you were doing the speed limit, and they were fucking around with something in their car. I don't think it's worth going without the lowers on. Not like it saves on time. Could prove to cost more time in the long run.
@@jonnywilson9117 you can wear kevlar jeans. They get rated to AAA standards nowadays. They work in your job environment and are much breezier on and off the bike in warm weather.
True. I prefer a 1 piece for the track, jacket and riding jeans/pants for the street. Two piece are a bit bulky in the middle but it’s easier to go to the bathroom with them.
The nice ring of a 2 piece is that when you go riding and you want to stop to get a drink in the sun you can take of your jacket because it gets hot sometimes.
I was a gear guy but im slowly buying thinner and thinner summer gear and i think i am gonna become a squid that doesn't wear gear not sweating is more important than losing body parts or dying
Nothing like sliding across asphalt watching in slow motion the pretty sparkles shooting from your bike and that's the best part so enjoy it. Once traction kicks in things happen really fast again. Tumbles and rolling do the real damage.
A quick tip for fitting is zip up the jacket and you should just barely be able to pinch the zipper and material into a handfull. If it's easy to get a handful with extra slack it's too big.
Dude, he looks like the avengers in end game when they wear the like suits to go travel through time. That's what his suit looks like. He kind of looks dope.
Also if your jacket is to loose or not thighs enough like he said ! Riding during very windy days can be real unpleasant with a loose jacket, it gives you the impression that you’re actually a parachute ! 😂😂😂👍
Either a defect or just not good product I have always had two piece suits from the higher end of the prices and multiple crashes they never failed. I agree that one piece is the way on track but two piece for street as going to a toilet for example in a one piece is not good specially if it is more than to p.
I have a two piece that I wear together because it’s nice when I stop for a coffee or something I can take the jacket off but I never wear it separately riding.
Thanks so much and I very much do encourage wearing gear I’ve seen way too many down right gorgeous women or huge buff handsome men get permanently scared bc they didn’t want to wear or buy gear for their bike
Finally someone with some common sense! For me the 2-P suit is just pointless, neither as safe as 1-P suit nor convenient as a standalone jacket/trousers.
In the Netherlands we have Chinese and Indonesian restaurants that serve dishes they don’t serve in Indonesia and china… so in some way it’s typical Dutch. Their cousins adapted to our taste buds.
What a great video. No bias on which you think is better but which you recommend. I like that you don’t throw any hate towards the riders that don’t wear their 2 piece suits together. I don’t ride but I want to eventually. But my dad does and I do definitely worry a bit when he goes out. We live in the crappiest driving state in the US😂😂
Go to a motorcycle gear store and talk to some people there. They'll show you many things that will make your rides safer and work best for you to stay comfortable on the bike. Much better than getting your knowledge from RUclips.
I think if you have a track and like to do the 'sport' riding and hardcore cruises , go with a 1 piece but eventually have both sets. For me nit having a bike yet but so damn interested. I'll be getting 2 piece for sure. 2 piece to start because I got no track or hardcore curvy roads lol
I got a two piece suit because I don't want to ask for help every time I want to take a piss 😂 Otherwise I have a different jacket + cordora denim jeans with knee and hip inserts for in-town riding (slower than 100kph). But I do wear my track gloves and boots when urban riding. Hands and ankles are the most common injuries with low speed accidents.

Alpine Star has suits that are meant to be worn on the steets so they fit like a normal jacket and can be worn as a track suit
