- Welcome to the all new DREAM BUILD workshop! Whilst the old workshop was popular with everyone, we had outgrown the space and whilst it was cool, it had many limitations which simply needed a new space.. so we created the new home of Dream Build, we hope you like it, please let me know what you think!
To launch the new workshop we collaborated with Hayes group to create a completely custom and unique spec Dream Build with different components you wouldn't usually see on the channel!
We wanted to create a state of the art enduro bike that combines understatement with shiny glamorous silver details. Partnering with the folks at Nukeproof and Hotlines we combined a Mega 290 alloy frame with top tier parts from Manitou, Hayes Brakes, SUNringle and ProTaper MTB, building an outstanding blacked out enduro machine.

I have a Mezzer Pro on my Meta and a Mastodon Pro on my Fatcaad! Manitou makes some awesome forks!
It also makes the shock with the longest piggyback in the history of shocks

Interesting to look into who sponsored this one, I didn’t realise Hayes were the holding company for Manitou, Answer & SunRingle, does make sense on some of my own previous bikes finish now though.. Good build though, well greased 😉👍

good video, BUT a tip, with your use of the "torque" wrenches during the build, HOLD the head of the wrench!! this supports the pivot point between the extension/socket and the handle, AND importantly stops the wrench warping and flailing around in all angles, this gives an artificial torque reading, as the forces are NOT in the correct direction (clockwise/counter clockwise around the tightening plane of the fastener), so any momentary high value, even for a 1/4 sec. can and WILL set the "click", or the breaking mechanics, giving an impression set torque has been acheived. and do it gradually, any jerky motion can set the wrench too. (if you need to support the bike frame, consider a strap {to hold it with your foot, like a styrup on a horse saddle}, or some other jig to hold the bike on the pedistal, with rubber/wood so it doesn't get marred or scratched).
The bike is very nice and the progress building it up is every time as more satisfying as the video before… I love your videos … please never stop… it is that one thing that cools me down everyday after a stressful pease of work… thank you 🙏

I'm a car and bikes mechanic and I am very disapointed of this video - a lot of rookie mistakes assembling this bike. Will point out a few of them:
Cutting the fork tube not sticking out of the stem for centering the top ring (5:40).
Not equal spacing tightening the stem - the pressing plate is touching the stem base on the top side and on the bottom side there is a lot of space - not equal spacing - that's not good at all (7:55).
Did not "clocked" the rotor before tightening the bolts (27:51).
Tightening the stopping bolts of the brake caliper before tightening the mounting bolts (30:38).
Not cutting straight the housing of the dropper (33:38).
