From a corporate stand-point, 2 batmans is way too expensive than 1. As an actor becomes batman, he’s financially set for life. As i dont like to see pat-bat be part of the dcu, thats most. Likely the case.

I have mixed feeling on this. I love the gritty universe that Matt Reeves is setting up and if he is put in the DCU, then it could water it down a lot. I dont think they need 2 Batmans but I do like the idea of having a Batman who lives in a world where super-powered people exist (although he doesnt need to interact with them all the time) - Let him fighting crime in Gotham be its own thing and have him team-up to fight fantastical people when the need arises. I say to keep them seperate, but set up a Batman who we can truly visualize living in the world of the DCU...... they basically already had that with Ben Affleck's Batman so they'll need to do it again.
That makes alot better sense instead of having 2 completely different Batman movies come out. That will greatly confuse the fans, an average person dont follow this type of content so they wouldn't know.
Sure as long as the suit, gadgets, and the Bruce Wayne persona evolve past the Batman Year One identity. It can be done just remember Batman the Animated Series episode 1 matched up to Batman from Justice League that saves Superman from a Kryptonite laced nuke. That’s the same character that aged 15 to 20 years.

I actually really like this idea. I think Pattinson's interaction with other characters would be extremely intresting and add diversity to the tone of the DCU projects. I can see this version of batman learning that he is the underdog compared to all the other heroes which could causes him to become an un-trusting and always prepared version of batman. Also it would be interesting to see a less physically OP batman interact with other characters. I don't really think it would hurt batman's solo movies.
@@Profile-rd6vi I agree. We see him by himself but how will he do with other characters. We need to see him interact and fight with the other members of the league. They need to slowly go towards the direction. Don’t rush it but plant Easter eggs here and there to let us know that Superman and other characters are coming. This could work if they don’t rush it and take their time. They need to slowly cook on this and then when the justice league get together then they need to go all out. I say right now the direction they are going in is working for the Batman. I like the slow build up.

I am all in for that. Batmans Gotham and field of operation always felt a bit more gritty, psychological, mystical, personal and distached from the more bombastic and colourful rest of the DC-Narrative. And he himself described himself as an aloof loner with issues. Also: RP did quite a good job as a young Batman that literally has to earn his wings. Too good a job to reward him with cancelling his movie series. And - given my experiences when joing the more casual movie going crowd - having just RP as Batman would prevent a lot of confusion (and the bad feeling of the horrible experiment that was the "Multiverse") , in regards to parallele castings (and narrations) of that one most iconic role of the WB-DCMU.

I can live with Alan Ritchson as DCU's Batman being the head of the whole batfamily while Battinson is better off being an elseworld where Batman is in a rather grounded DC universe.
People have to understand that if they want a universe in cinema, they must understand that it has to be like in the comics.
Monday, Batman is solving a series of murders by a serial killer.
On Wednesday, he's stopping the Joker's plan to use his laughing gas at a parade.
On Friday, he is fighting on the Justice Satellite, because the League of Doom infiltrated.
And on Sundays, he's fighting Darkside for the fate of the multiverse.
When people understand this, they will be able to understand what a superhero universe is.

Nah. Reeves has his own vision. I want to see Gunn's Batman and Bat-Fam that's comic movie with lighthearted and supernatural moments.
Not sure why people always say a grounded and gritty Batman can’t work with other, more fantastical DC characters. The whole point is the contrast. That’s what gives the universe variety. That being said, Gunn should just be allowed to stick to his original plan.

This needs to happen. Anyone who says no doesn’t know what they’re talking about. People like continuity / consistency. It’s human behaviour. Personally I’m not a fan of The Batman - But it’s actually stupid for them not to maximise on their undeniable success. Average cinema goers will get annoyed and bored with so many different Batmen. Timing is everything. I badly want TASM 3 - But I also understand it’s got to make sense. SMNWH was a brilliant move to open the doors to SM 4 / TASM 3. Nobody watched / understood cared about Flashpoint. The timings not right. I’m sure I’ll love whatever Gunn does with BATB, but I’m certain it’ll wind up fans of The Batman. Nerds are a superstitious and cowardly bunch 🦇

I have no problem and I’m sure no one else does or at least some people , about wether they intersect him into that world , it just needs to be done well and right and not crap.
If he inserted that means no Clayface, Poison Ivy, Manbat, Grundy, Killer Croc. It basically takes half his villains away. And the liklihood is we get the joker for the hundred time. I don't have a problem against the joker but Batman and Spiderman both have the best rogue gallerys for villians and ya don't see Marvel/Sony constantly doing Green Goblin

I actually really want this to happen. I don't want another old and experienced batman with a young superman. I want to see them grow as heroes and friends together. And forget damien,make the batman 2 or 3 about Dick we can see him become Robin and eventually leave Bruce to lead the Teen Titans in a trilogy. He can become Nightwing in the 2nd or 3rd film.

Exactly it’s the same thing with Superman. Snyders Superman was good but it’s not the comic hopeful Superman it was his version of Superman which still had good intentions. Gunn is bringing hope back to Superman and going for the comic style and I hope he does the same with Batman

I'd rather they left Reeves Batman universe as its own thing. Let Pattinson shine there. It's got a good base for what it is. Could you make it fit in the DCU? Yes. But the amount of gymnastics you'd have to do in order to make it fit would just be too much in my opinion.
I agree, it doesn't fit with Gunn's movie tone. I welcome a new actor playing Batman in his DCU.

If he's not in the DCEU, Pattison Batman will just be Nolanverse Batman 2.0. or clone. Him being in the new DCEU gives this Batman (or the Pattison universe as a whole) purpose. I also really don't like the good idea to have two batmans running around on cinema screen, it's just doing too much for me. Keep it simple, intergrate Pattison into the DCEU. It'll give the audience the reason to want to go see Reeves Batman even more when his other solo movies comes out.
Tone wise and the way that Pattinson Bruce/Batman have Ben depicted I’m not sure it would work.

One of a few problems with DC mythology translating to live action, and the incessant need to keep rehashing Batman and Superman.
Battinson is like the Dark Knight trilogy. No superhumans, and grounded in realism, instead of comic book or cartoon fantasy.
Iiiii dunnno .. I think Pattinson is a great young Batman and can grow with the role. That said ..yeah not sure how his portrayl will fit in the future Gunn flicks... that said..I'm more open than against... depends on how they deal with it
