I think robots only can give doctors and nurses support, can not replace them. Because beween human and human always have a connection what a robot don't have, such as emotion, sympathy, understanding...
the robot Sofia, who was granted Saudi citizenship, said she wanted to dominate and murder humans. there is already the robot Grace who is a nurse Remember that the fourth industrial revolution is the fusion of biological, technological and digital media, it is transhumanism.
you're right. They are just machine programmed by human. I think when it comes to an emergency in a hospital or the happening pandemic, teamwork and solidarity from human will be the best way to treat patients effectively.
I really thankful for this educational & informative vid. I really love Neil and Sam , thank for your great efforts for us.Really thank you again. I really love this content it's fascinating 😊.
Ai refers to lots of machine learning algorithms and procedures. The case of skin cancer diagnosis is based on what is called "supervised learning" in which the "machine" (a robot or any piece of software) is given with a bunch of "labeled" images that is images of skin which are known to belong to positive and negative cases. So, yes, supervised learning algorithms still need humans. I believe robots won't replace humans, instead I think we will enhance our brains with ai.
Thanks BBC My summary while listening Today’s topic is related to artificial intelligence and medicine in the future. We often wonder whether advanced machines could really replace human doctors and nurses or not. According to Daniel Susskind, a researcher, the Stanford medical team has invented a system which could analyze a picture of a freckle to see whether a person has cancer or is healthy. However, he isn’t convinced that humans would be replaced by AI technology. This technology still needs humans to program it and learn from the performance and experiences of medical practitioners.

There is a huge shortage of doctors. With the help of AI, many more accurate diagnoses can be made early, leading to early life saving treatment ultimately saving lives.
I don't see the life without doctors. They are professional and know their work well. There are many technologies which can describe diseases. But i prefer real doctors. Perhaps in the future robots can replace doctors. Robots can replace everyone in my opinion. Thanks BBC

Yes. It is already the case, doctors are largely dependant of new technology, drugs, medical devices, and of imposed standards.
