Ted's heyday was the late '60s through the early '80s and Kid's was the late '90s through the early 2000s. Both appealed to a largely immature audience and neither has seemed to be influential artistically. You hear or read of no one saying they took up guitar-playing because of Ted and of no one saying they became a rapper because of Kid.
