    Hello Sir! Is there a tutorial on Sine sweep vibration simulation to extract amplitude or stress? If no could you please upload one example, I would really appreciate it!

    Hello Sir,
    For one of my problems, I extracted the mass participation factor (had extracted 10 modes) and in each axis it is 0.3% total. Does it mean there is some error in my geometric model, if so how do i fix it?

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  4 года назад +1

      Kindly check if your first six modes, if they are not zero then their is no flying body. You can extract few more modes to get more mass participation (90%).

    Thank you sir,
    i have a question : why you didn't use distributed mass instead of remote load/mass ??

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  3 года назад +1

      Distributed mass is generally used for UDL load. In present case, Though point mass is applied, the mass will equally distribute to the mounting location through rigid links.

      I have a cylinder which is poured on a surface of a structure and I want to show the different modes can I set up a distributed mass

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  3 года назад +1

      @@taoulilahoucine2487 Yes you can. Even you can put point mass, insert mas moment of inertia and apply at CG. This will give you more better results.

      @@graspengineering9249 i see i see thank you very much, i have another problem, is about no penetration contact, i have a lot of beams in a structure connected by bolts, but i couldn’t use bolts in a simulation to have mode shapes (frequency analysis) and i couldn’t let the surfaces free (no penetration contacts ) how wan i simulate this taking in consideration theses connections ?
      Thank you again

    What is mass participation factor? When do we get 100% mass participation factor. As you said in first mode only 60% mass participant is there so where does rest of 40% mass participation gone?

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  4 года назад

      Hello ! As name suggest mass participation is the mass of the body contributing in vibration movement is respective directions. when we extract natural frequencies, each and every frequency have mass contribution. In the video for first 6 natural frequency are at approx. 60 % mass contribution and if we continue further extracting, mass participation will further increase. You can refer our other video for more information on mass participation, etc. ruclips.net/video/S60yLpJY8Nw/видео.html
