I accessed this property from the Neuse River side when I was canoeing there. The abandoned pool was very interesting as were the cabins that were still standing there in the woods. The man who owned the property at that time had a reputation of being a really angry, mean person.
I don't normally comment on videos. Yet I find myself drawn to, once again, tell you how marvelously talented you are behind a recording device! At first, I thought I was drawn to the stories of Elvis. And then I thought I was drawn to Eastern North Carolina, being that I was born and raised in Williamston...down the road a little ways. But now, I think it is your warmth and sincerity and storytelling ability! Thank you for sharing your videos with us! You could make the inside of a tin can most intriguing and special!
I've always loved to look at the church and the steps leading up to it. Me and the wife are planning on going back to Seven Springs to do some fishing.
Thank you so much for showing us videos of places you have lived and visited in your life. I sure enjoy watching them. I've never been to that part of the country so it is very interesting to me. I watch all of your videos. Can't wait for another. This doesn't have anything to do with this video but what a terrible thing that has happened in the Presley family. My prayers are with all of them.
I can't believe I have found this video. My father owned the spring house you showed and the big house beside it. The spring house you showed was in fact 6 springs, 5 inside the spring house and 1 behind it. He bought it in 1982 and my family stayed there until 1999 when the first big flood hit from hurricane floyd or fran-i cant remember. The seven springs you are looking for is about a quarter mile from the spring house you showed down the dirt path. I remember Mr. Maxwell. He was difficult to deal with but him and my dad and uncle got along pretty well. This video brought back alot of memories good and bad. Thank you for posting!
@@weeklyspaguy brought back a ton of memories! I've always wondered what happened after I left. If you would like more info on the water or the area I'd be happy to talk with you about it. If not thank you once again!!!
Small world, Billy my daddy was born in seven springs 1932..have not been there since I was small child 1960’s.he still has family buried there and living nearby.thanks for the video
My best friend in college, Bob Grant, was from Seven Springs and loved to tell me stories about the area. Including a legendary local character named Bird or Byrd. Bob was a brilliant man. Sadly he was killed in a motorcycle accident around 2005. This is my first time to see the town where he grew up. Did anyone reading this know Bob Grant?
I didn't know Bob but very sorry you lost your friend.. This is a Great But Tiny town so someone who watches will know him.. Thanks for watching.. Spa Guy
I live in Seven Springs North Carolina. At 6:30 you showed a house that we have just bought to fix and raise. To teach you a little more about the houses that are damaged, most of them were sold to FEMA and are being tore down and the land can not be used for rebuilding purposes anymore. If you would like to let me know when you’re back in the area and I can show you some stuff!
Thankyou for this very interesting video Mr. Spa Guy!! I wonder why the water man got angry when asked about the water, That church is lovely. So is that park, the entire area is beautiful, did too much rain cause the floods? Blessings to you !🎼
This is my hometown, most everyone moved to the outskirts to avoid future flooding. There is a few thousand people with a Seven Springs address, but less than a dozen or so people are in the actual town. Literally the entire town was under water multiple times. It flooded heavily in 1999, but flooded again twice in the 2010’s. Those three wiped the town out, sadly.
@@weeklyspaguy good chance! I am related to Ralph Casey who used to own a store just up the road. He was my grand uncle. Pretty much most of the Price’s, Jones’, etc around there are my kin folks.

Loved watching this SG. Something about seeing old abandoned buildings,,never have figured out what makes them so intriguing. The large tin building at the stop light sure looks like it was a mom & pop lumber yard back in the day,, So cool they don't tear them down.Even in this part of the country where we live, after a few floodings, over several years, these little river towns, there are only a handful of houses that are still occupied,,,people raise them like there in Seven Springs. You and your wife should buy that old bottling location and turn it into a water available ,,market it,, for preppers. That is huge now!!! Thanks again.
The water was up to the roof tops of most buildings in downtown Seven Springs after Hurricane Floyd in 1999. I grew up in that town. It's a very sad thing that happened to that little town. Ola Mae's restaurant is still open though! The springs are down a little dirt road off to the left of the area you are exploring.
From what my dad could remember that isn't the spring house he said that, it was closer to the river and that and that the overflow runs off into the river if so I googled it and found two buildings farther down right beside the river.
Very curious now why he wouldn't talk about the water? Billy ya cant leave us hanging on that one lol Looks like this was a nice little town back before the floods I've been flooded here myself in Sandy 2012, I'm not gonna stay through that again what a mess and long time it takes to recover This video reminds me of the movie The Trip To Bountiful, Sad to see how things have changed so much that were part of your life and memory Thanks Billy great video as always God bless 😊🙏❤ No fun if it happ

So I discovered this place & went hunting the springs today lol! If anyone knows where the spring or springs are please share! I am from the Midwest where natural springs & clear rivers are all over so this place had me excited!
Hi, My name is Neal Kay. I am doing a paranormal documentary on seven springs this year 2021...I was wondering if I could use your drone footage. I will of course credit you for this. Thank you in advance!!!

Most people would put you to sleep with a video on an old North Carolina town, but you really bring things to life and make it interesting. Great job as always sir 👍. God Bless

What was the population?
Officially it got back to around 86, but after two additional floods, less than 20.
The outskirts has a few thousand.
