    Great tutorial. Excellent tips, especially the ones regarding quilter's tape and binding and sewing on the zippers without the pulls. Appreciate you showing how to adjust the bag to fit the tools you need. Very practical approach to sewing the "running with scissors" bag. Thanks so much.

    Hi @Kckreations! I've been bitten by the By Annie Bug, and I'm taking a plunge right into this bag -- ! After watching a BUNCH of the Annie add-on videos, I still felt like I needed a little more step-by-step help on this bag, so I'm really glad to have found your guidance here. I guess this whole project has made me realize how much of a visual learner I am. lol About to set the laptop up next to my machine and pattern and see what I can get done! Thank you very much for your help.

      Aw thanks so much for your comment super happy to help, I have been going like mad since our move to find my memory cards so I can finish the ultimate travel bag but so far I am out of luck. I have my fingers crossed that when my daughter moves out at the end of the week I will have success as I will have so much more room an access to the other boxes. Currently buying the travel essentials 2.0 pattern to give that one go, I love doing these tutorials as I find it helps so many people. Please help me by subscribing to my channel I would love to heaps. Happy sewing.

    Love your tutorials!
    Quick question. Do I have to do the quitting lines? I am not a fan of it. I did it with * take a stand*. I preferred smoothness on my bags. Will it affect if I don't make them?

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations  Год назад +2

      Aw thanks so much, super happy to hear that I've been able to help you.. nope you don't have to quilt the material down at all if you prefer but if you are using soft an sable your material may move around on you so I would probley suggest sewing around the edge to try and prevent it moving 😀 the quilt is purely decorative and to prevent the material moving when needing to be washed etc

      Oh your most welcome, I'm from Australia. I love her patterns also but yes they can be very confusing. There have been a couple where I scratch my head for a bit. But doable in the end. And this is why I'm doing the video to give everyone a chance to do the patterns also especially if they have trouble understanding them. Super happy you have found them helpful fingers crossed 🤞 my videos will continue to do that for you.

    I love the by Annie bags. Just need to get some of the costs down. Love her zippers, etc. am wondering if it costs less to get a bundle directly from her web site instead of at my local shop buying an individual zipper for each project. Her mesh, vinyl, foam stabilizer, all excellent products. I guess everything is getting very expensive anymore.

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations  Месяц назад

      @jacqulineanndesigns8158 I have the same problem, I love all her products but it can get very expensive to make a bag. I now buy other zippers and pulls in bulk as it save so much money. I still use annies mesh, but that's about it, I now source the clear vinyl elsewhere. I do sell #4 zipper tape and pulls plus bag locks, etc, through my fb page.

      @@kckreationsyes. I am looking at a replacement for the soft n stable. So far nothing near me here in Texas. A friend told me of a local quilting store that has an alternative brand that she has found works the same and holds its shape and everything like the soft n stable. I would like to support Annie’s business by purchasing from her. But the sewing , quilting, and crafting industry can be quite a money pit. And if you don’t find ways to save money, you no longer get to do what you love. For instance, I was looking at purchasing some Liberty fabric here I. The US and it was almost 63 dollars a yard. All of the fabrics have gotten very high. But the liberty fabric has priced me out of even placing an order. Maybe at some point when I get to visit London again I will visit the Liberty store and splurge on a small amount. But honestly, I see so much absolutely gorgeous and high quality fabric available, that I really don’t think I would ever , even visiting their store, ever spend that.

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations  21 день назад +1

      @jackiehorn3724 you might like to see if you can get the double-sided foam from Australia that I use as it may work out cheaper for you tho I'm not sure dur to shipping. I can't even afford to buy any tula pink fabric as it's $38 dollars au per meter here in Australia. Then combine that with everything else need and it doesn't make it a very cheap venture. Which is a shame to be honest how the economy has gone these last few years.

    • @jackiehorn3724
      @jackiehorn3724 21 день назад +1

      @ yep. And a lot of people selling their stashes , estate sales and thrifted items for just barely less than what it cost brand new. So it’s getting hard to be a budget sewer.

    I love your tutorial, my problem is the zipper. Is it supposed to have the. wrong side out on the tail at the finished bag?

    • @kckreations
      @kckreations  11 месяцев назад

      Hmm the zipper hangs out on 1 end this allows the bag to open properly, but the end gets covered so it not raw. And it should be facing the same way all the way down. Are you in my fb group? Please join and I can answer questions in the with photos to help if needed it's the same as this name with the same logo. Kckreations
