This man was literally 90% of my childhood, and now that I've grown into a splatoon obsessed teen, seeing him make a splatoon video just brings me so much joy lol, very fresh

As a half-decent n-zap main, i have some tips to give.
1.) Zap is a very aggressive weapon. You need to go in fast and hit your shots. One thing that can help with this is using gyro controls. Although it is hard to get used to, the difference it makes in close quarters skirmishes is DIVINE. The sensitivity that I personally use is -5 and 0.
2.) Tacticooler (Your special) should primarily be used before large team battles. The run and swim speed boost are splattastic but the main upside is 1 SECOND respawn time, which indirectly allows for incredibly aggressive play. So yeah, tacticooler gud.
3.) Given that N-zap is such an aggressive, short-range weapon I usually play a flanky, fast playstyle and splatoon's amazing movement largly contributes to this playstyle.
Besides that, I am so monumentally happy that a youtuber of your dignitas is now playing my favorite game, and is using my favourite weapon. Thank you, Daniel.

I’m so happy that your playing this Dan! I wanted to give you some tips to help a bit. I noticed in the beginning you were inking the ground directly, this is pretty time consuming and it’s better to fire in the middle of the screen, you will cover more turf more quickly by doing this, it also give you a advantage to attack your enemies when you get jumped. Also don’t be so persistent in inking every droplet of turf, ink the general area and leave the little missed bits, it’ll get covered later in combat, trust me! Love the video and please let me know if you saw this! ❤️

@@PhantomOfficial07 I'm just talking from a competitive standpoint. From a casual standpoint of course, it mostly just comes down to how good you are at your favourite weapon, for example I usually play the dapple dualies which are usually considered very low-tier

Currently stuck with chronic aerospray main, so I can confirm that yeah, if your just playing causal the any weapon can be the best. Though, on a comp standpoint, splattershot and machine are definitely top tier.
Nice to finally see Dan play Splatoon, I highly doubt that he'll make another video, but as a small tip of he does, it's better to use the Motion controls than the analog sticks

This can actually depend on the person's preferred play-style. I would rather use joystick to motion controls, because it just makes it a lot easier for me personally

Hey Dan! I love that you are playing my all time fav shooter series, and I wanna give ya some tips since you seem to be having so much fun:
Shoot a bit higher with shooters that way you can paint more with them.
Ink base after you push in and do the initial fight, it's free special to build up later just in case.
Turn on motion controls if you plan on playing longer term, they have a mouse level of aim control once you get past the initial learning curve.
In general I hope yo see more from you, seeing people enjoy this series is awesome. :D

If you're planning on maining N-Zap, place the Tacticooler (your special) near your teammates, that way everyone of your teammates can get the stat boosts too.

A tip for using the inkzooka (the special weapon on the splattershot): when you use it, there's some arrows on your screen that go forward and curve down, that shows you how the shots are going to arc, so you can use that to your advantage to try and hit better shots

My main advice as someone who's been playing this series since not too long after 2 came out is just go with what weapon you think works the best for you! My favourite is currently the Sloshing Machine!

Heres a tip that I've learned over the years. When you're covering, you can put your cursor up more and just keep going left and right. This will cover more in less time.

Dan if you didn’t know with the dualies you can double press and aim joystick anyway and you will sidejump or front flip and it will help you’re movement when you’re in very risky battles

Dan when you're painting the ground, shoot forward so you get your weapons full range of coverage and look side to side so you can paint everywhere instead of just looking at the ground and walking as you paint.

Hey Dan, quick tips (that are not just telling you to switch to motion controls), when your player is facing the other way, for example, your character is looking at the camera, press the “y” button. This will cause your character to immediately snap where your character is facing. Get used to it.
Personally I don't use motion controls

it also still works if you don’t use motion controls, it’s basically just re-centring the camera with the Y button

Hey dan.I loved your video! Im a huge fan of splatoon. Just wanted ti say that inking while you’re looking down doesn’t paint as much as looking up. I’d love to see a playthrough of the story mode!
Also when you super jump to someone a marker appears to where you’re jumping. If you see one of those arrows with a circle around it make sure to camp it to get an ez kill!
The last video I watched of Dan was 11 months ago, which was his let's go pikachu series. Its nice to see that after all this time he still has so many supporters, he deserves every one of them.

Here are some tips to get better at splatoon 3:
1: USE MOTION CONTROLS
It’s difficult to get used to if you don’t play many games that use these, but you need this to be able to react and turn quickly
2: When inking, don’t aim at the ground. It decreases your painting ability and range. If you aim straight forward instead, the ink will fly further and then fall down, inking more.
3: USE YOUR SPECIAL
4: I can’t think of a fourth tip
5:Or a fifth
6: I just said, I’m out of tips. I guess, uh, watch videos by pro players and play the game I guess?

a bit of advice, usually turning on motion controls helps you aim, and it may be just me, but i think dan would be absolutely cracked at aerospray. best crossover ever.

Also, even though it sounds counterintuitive, could you try not inking base at the start of the game? The reasoning is that it lets you get to the middle faster and gives you uncontested turf to charge your special with later on in the game.
As a person who has played all previous splatoon games the best tactic for turf wars is a splat roller. This covers lots of turf and is a close range instant kill

>Don’t aim at the ground aim straight in front of you, weapons nearly always paint everything between the end of their range and you
>If you get spawn camped, grind for your special weapon to push back
NEVER jump in combat unless your using the splash-o-magic or H3nozzlenose as jumping significantly decreases accuracy
>You don’t get carried, everyone contributes, even as a distraction
>Don’t be afraid to stand your ground
>kills aren’t as important as Points in turf war

the fact that the n-zap 85 was my main in the second game and dan being my favorite RUclipsr is nostalgic for me
Ya know once you level up or if you have 3 Sheldon licenses you can get Sploosh-o-matic which is a more shorter range weapon but It inks up the area quickly and does a lot of damage. (Also if you didn't know you can get 3 Sheldon licenses and spend them on weapons you'd usually have to level up to get)
