Hi friends! Today's video is going to be about my recent Paris shopping experience. I am an Aussie living in France and recommend La Samaritaine on Rue de la Monnaie. Amazing. I also frequent Le Bon Marche and Printemps. Do not go to GL on the Champs Élysées as it is just a mini store. The biggest on is a bit further away and is well worth the walk. The glass stained dome is amazing. Love your channel Sophia. Xx

AHHH i've been waiting for this vid! What a great guide for all us luxury-obsessed gals and guys 🤗 French clothing brands are my absolute fav, my wardrobe reflects that lol - maje, bash, sandro gallore! Also, thank you for mentioning the fabulous vintage stores, Le Marais was my mecca when bored in Paris 😅

Ever since you mentioned your disappointing Chanel experience, I was very curious to hear it. I'm so sorry that it happened, it sounds absolutely awful! I hate the sense of entitelment of the shopping assistants, making it seem as if they are doing you a favour by letting you spend your hard earned money 🙄

I know, and I am one of those people that loves to talk to SAs and hear their perspective on the collections. Having a great SA makes such a difference and makes me want to come back to the brand to discover more

I bought my mum perfume from guerlain which was as you said such a fun experience and my husband bought me earrings in tiffanys but thats it
It just really didnt cross my mind to shop i was too blown away by the galleries and buildings lol 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Also i had the best experience of my life buy a burberry trench... i highly reccommend shopping at burberry. They legit made me feel like a celebrity
Thanks for sharing! I absolutely love shopping at Burberry. I haven't gone to a UK or EU boutique but that is definitely on my list. And I totally get what you mean -Paris is so beautiful and there's SO much to do that only now having been there a few times do I feel kind of relaxed and have an idea of what I would event want to shop for 😅

i loooove Le Bon Marche and Le Marais! i got a La Bouche Rouje lippie at LBM and have enjoyed shopping and dining in Le Marais. my lippie from LBR had a tiny knick on it which was unfortunate once i opened it lol but i'm very impressed by the longevity of their satin formula. ideally i would love to buy the new Guerlain lipstick case and lippie in Paris but not sure if it will still be available later this year/Winter, but i look forward to shopping their website at least. (i have the same goal for Dries Van Noten and buying a case from their boutique in Antwerp.)
that's unfortunate you had a mixed experience shopping at Chanel. i have yet to acquire an affinity for most traditional luxury bags/fashion (i tend to like indie lines) but agree customer service impacts everything. i've even walked away from buying something if the service wasn't good. i did stop by a fragrance and beauty boutique once and the gentleman was sooo kind that i ended up buying what intended to get even though it wasn't a genuine need lol. it would be fun to go back and buy a fragrance there that i did discover i liked. i got a sample once from Violet Grey but am blanking out on the name atm! if i can purchase the item in the city or country of origin though, it always feels extra special (in addition to extra savings if avail.)

Do you recomend any hotels in paris thats right there for shopping
It depends on where you want to shop. I would recommend staying away from hotels right near the really big shopping streets because it can be a bit touristy. I love Hotel D'Aubusson which is very close to the river and Samaritaine department store. You can also easily get to Le Bon Marche

Likewise experience feeling like an intruder in Chanel; furthermore I was looked up from top to bottom also; been in June; they wanted o sell me what they needed to sell rather that what wanted,,
Nooo 😞 I'm sorry to hear that. I had some more subscribers reach out to me with similar experiences. It's almost like their SA's have lost their excitement for the products
France is famous for bad client service ever especially in Paris i guess.
