We all have our reasons for going all in on this. I've been in on AMC since February. If the stock goes to $225 I will have enough money to make my next feature film without having to rely on getting an investor in the project (which is the hardest part of filmmaking). It's ironic, and maybe even a sign, that all this is happening because of a theater company stock. Hopefully I will get to screen the film at AMC cinemas and bring everything full circle.

Here's some basic math: 100% of the legal float is held by mutual funds. ~140% of the legal float is held by institutional investors like hedge funds and pension funds. ~300-500% of the legal float is held by retail investors. everything except the mutual funds must be purchased to satisfy the shorts. There's math saying that millions may be low.

I'm not very sure about the market due to volatility and i'm more focused on short term and following a news about an investor who grew huge profit in few months, my question is, what strategies can i apply to make this from the current market?
Try looking at investing from a long term perspective, we still have a good number of stocks which can grow around 20-30% before the year runs out although i use an FA .. If you invest now i'm sure you will get some great returns in the long term..

@@matt33876 There are hedgefunds that are buying in, it's the ones that overshorted it that are going to go bankrupt. Here's some basic math:
100% of the legal float is held by mutual funds. ~140% of the legal float is held by institutional investors like hedge funds and pension funds. ~300-500% of the legal float is held by retail investors.
everything except the mutual funds must be purchased to satisfy the shorts. There's math saying that millions may be low.

I'm not very sure about the market due to volatility and i'm more focused on short term and following a news about an investor who grew huge profit in few months, my question is, what strategies can i apply to make this from the current market?
Try looking at investing from a long term perspective, we still have a good number of stocks which can grow around 20-30% before the year runs out although i use an FA .. If you invest now i'm sure you will get some great returns in the long term..
