I know what you mean. Once I watched a Kdrama and heard KPop, I realized what I had been missing all this time. My sister had been a fan of both for many years and she kept telling me to give them a chance. I always told her that I just didn't want to watch something I didn't understand. Well, boy was I wrong! I can't believe I waited so long. I'm serious .. Once you give it a chance , there's no turning back and the addiction will begin... NO TURNING BACK ;)... btw... I genuinely don't understand why ppl like that drama. Sure it had PSH and LMH but that's literally it. It wasn't even their best performance. PSH did so much better in Pinocchio and more recently Doctors and easily City Hunter was a much better LMH drama. The story was honestly a snooze fest.

i wonder why. i tried watching the first ep cause they were saying it was a really really good drama. but i found it exaggerated. i still continued until ep2 just to give it a chance but i dont feel any excitement towards it. the male lead's character is not even ideal.😜

I did like You Who Came from the Stars but i don't feel a special connection to it unlike Goong which can make me tear up with a random 10 second long clip of it. This is just my top9 dramas i'm not saying Goong is the best drama ever made. If i have to pick a best from my list that is Angry Mom and well I Miss You for those who don't mind 21 episode of depression
Zafer7love did you ever take a look at the Goong manga? ...its just really weird (not recommended) the drama is a ton better. I actually only watched Goong because of the actress, since she was in Playful kiss before that. It is a good drama, i think it would have been nice if they had been more in love for longer and i didnt quite understand the ending with her magically being pregnant :/
Yoon Eun Hye was not in Playful Kiss I'm talking about the Drama and how it's special for me, i still have yet to read the manga. But since i know that about the 3/4 of the drama is based on the manga, so the sane part of the drama, i don't think it can be that bad. The only parts which didn't make sense in the drama are the ones which were not written in the manga because it was not finished at that time they did the drama.
Zafer7love was she not?....hmm ah she was in coffee prince. thats how i knew her. The manga is awful. and the ending would work, but then they added this silly thing where she lives far away and they never saw each other but still she's pregnant. you don't need a manga to write a story that makes sense :D the manga ends seriously badly and confusing so...it wouldn't help to be honest haha
as a Korean who watched kdramas since I was like 4 this list is so funny. I think they just had the mainstream dramas that gained lots of popularity overseas not the dramas with actual substance and entertainment I personally love signal, gapdong
my top 5 dramas as international fan are 1-kill me heal me 2- Rooftop prince 3-Secret garden 4-Reply 1988 5-second time twenty years and i have to say the drama which entered me to kdrama is Rooftop Prince i didn't enjoy drama like this one and even my sisters they didn't love drama like this one and because of this drama and Park Yoochun am a big fan of kdrama so can i ask you as a Korean it's really hard for Yoochun to return to Kpop and Kdrama industry , i like his dramas alot like missing you and three days he is one of my favorite actors at Korea and as overseas fans we can't find the truth about if Korean fans will accept his return or his career is over we only hear and read about it from internet but we never know what Korean are really thinking of if you don't want to replay to my comment be free and sorry for bothering you
semsema282 You must know that he is probably proven innocent of all charges so he is coming back with the movie lucid dream early next year! I know lots of jyj fans are just like secretly rooting for him but most of the korean people still think of him as toilet yoochun. I think that he's comeback will be successful though even if the audience wouldn't like him as much and even if his popularity went down alot...He was my ultimate ultimate bias so I was really disappointed but I will keep on supporting him continually!!

I’ll update you guys The number one drama last year was “the goblin”. “The coffee prince” male lead is the lead in “the goblin”. It’s about a goblin who can’t die, (who wants to but can’t). He has to find his bride in order to die. He does, but he is in love so he doen’t want to die anymore. (He is rich af I wouldn’t want to die either but whatever). This is a romcom and everyone that was in this drama got cfs. Even the extras. This was THE drama of the year. Plus this drama was written by the person who wrote “The Decedents of the sun”. All the korean dramas they introduced was rom com. If you want to see a real story watch “The Signal”. It doesn’t have much romance but it is about solving mysteries that have not been solved for decades. Like continuous murder cases done by one person and ect. All the actors and actresses from this drama are the best actors in Korea. I swear “The Signal” is the best drama of 2016. Not just my opinion but others as well. Plus it’s almost halloween. One of the honorable mention in this video, there was a drama called “Master’s Sun”. This drama made me fall in love with the male lead. This was famous as well because of it’s unique plot. The female lead can see ghosts and living with that curse made her vulnerable and scared of this world. But when she touches the male lead, she can’t see the ghosts. So even though the male lead pushes her away she keeps coming back to him. So that she doesn’t see them anymore. This is also a rom com, but the first episode is kinda scary. The rest are fine. Lastly, the drama “W” was a mega hit. Tho the drama was fun and exciting at the beginning, when it comes to the end it gets kinda boring. It’s about a girl who becomes a character in her dad’s comic book and starts to fall for the comic male lead. All the dramas that I mentioned are approved by many Koreans. I KNOW that if you guys see any one of the dramas that I mentioned, you won’t EVER have any regrets. If anyone takes my advice and watches the drama and likes it give this a thumbs up or comment!

I genuinely don't understand why ppl like that drama. Sure it had PSH and LMH but that's literally it. It wasn't even their best performance. PSH did so much better in Pinocchio and more recently Doctors and easily City Hunter was a much better LMH drama. The story was honestly a snooze fest.

My love from the star is a well deserved place though. that one is better than Goong (i did love goong but my love from the stars was seriously good)
I did like You Who Came from the Stars but i don't feel a special connection to it unlike Goong which can make me tear up with a random 10 second long clip of it.
This is just my top9 dramas i'm not saying Goong is the best drama ever made. If i have to pick a best from my list that is Angry Mom and well I Miss You for those who don't mind 21 episode of depression
Zafer7love did you ever take a look at the Goong manga? ...its just really weird (not recommended) the drama is a ton better. I actually only watched Goong because of the actress, since she was in Playful kiss before that. It is a good drama, i think it would have been nice if they had been more in love for longer and i didnt quite understand the ending with her magically being pregnant :/

I'm talking about the Drama and how it's special for me, i still have yet to read the manga. But since i know that about the 3/4 of the drama is based on the manga, so the sane part of the drama, i don't think it can be that bad. The only parts which didn't make sense in the drama are the ones which were not written in the manga because it was not finished at that time they did the drama.

The manga is awful. and the ending would work, but then they added this silly thing where she lives far away and they never saw each other but still she's pregnant. you don't need a manga to write a story that makes sense :D the manga ends seriously badly and confusing so...it wouldn't help to be honest haha

I know lots of jyj fans are just like secretly rooting for him but most of the korean people still think of him as toilet yoochun. I think that he's comeback will be successful though even if the audience wouldn't like him as much and even if his popularity went down alot...He was my ultimate ultimate bias so I was really disappointed but I will keep on supporting him continually!!

The number one drama last year was “the goblin”. “The coffee prince” male lead is the lead in “the goblin”. It’s about a goblin who can’t die, (who wants to but can’t). He has to find his bride in order to die. He does, but he is in love so he doen’t want to die anymore. (He is rich af I wouldn’t want to die either but whatever). This is a romcom and everyone that was in this drama got cfs. Even the extras. This was THE drama of the year. Plus this drama was written by the person who wrote “The Decedents of the sun”.
All the korean dramas they introduced was rom com. If you want to see a real story watch “The Signal”. It doesn’t have much romance but it is about solving mysteries that have not been solved for decades. Like continuous murder cases done by one person and ect. All the actors and actresses from this drama are the best actors in Korea. I swear “The Signal” is the best drama of 2016. Not just my opinion but others as well.
Plus it’s almost halloween. One of the honorable mention in this video, there was a drama called “Master’s Sun”. This drama made me fall in love with the male lead. This was famous as well because of it’s unique plot. The female lead can see ghosts and living with that curse made her vulnerable and scared of this world. But when she touches the male lead, she can’t see the ghosts. So even though the male lead pushes her away she keeps coming back to him. So that she doesn’t see them anymore. This is also a rom com, but the first episode is kinda scary. The rest are fine.
Lastly, the drama “W” was a mega hit. Tho the drama was fun and exciting at the beginning, when it comes to the end it gets kinda boring. It’s about a girl who becomes a character in her dad’s comic book and starts to fall for the comic male lead.
All the dramas that I mentioned are approved by many Koreans. I KNOW that if you guys see any one of the dramas that I mentioned, you won’t EVER have any regrets. If anyone takes my advice and watches the drama and likes it give this a thumbs up or comment!

I'm really upset that 49 Days isn't in this list. It made me laugh, smile, mad, and I cried so damn hard at the end. One of the best kdramas I've ever seen. Jung Il Woo is phenomenal.
