Hatching Trout - Episode 2 - The Eggs have hatched!

Ever wondered how rainbow trout and brown trout are hatched? Transportation of eggs is simpler than transportation of live fish, so we will show you how to hatch your own. In this episode we closely monitor the eggs for the 10 days after introducing them to our hatching bays. In total we have 20,000 brown trout mixed sex eggs and will be hatching them out over the coming weeks.

Hello and cheers on your videos! At 3:34 there is an egg with something white on it, close to the tip of the feather. What is that and should we remove them?

Hi! Yes this is a dead egg and has to be removed.

Hi! We disinfect the feather before using it :) Simple spray with choloromine T is perfect
