Midnight cover by the Virtual Shadows Tribute

This is another Shadows cover realized by our Virtual Shadows Tribute band.
As already explained, we live far away from each others, so we work remotely by exchanging audio files. I ensure the overall mixing. And as I have all individual instrument tracks, I can also produce backing tracks. I am using these BT here to record my new videos.

Nicely done. Especially the clear, ringing, end, which was muted in the original. Also, the deeper, clearer, reverb, which may be due to available technology now vs then.
Thank you. Yes today's technology helps, but we still try to reproduce the original sounds and respect originals spirit. Not always easy....

Try to add some words when posting something realized with the VST pack. The more we will have contributors, the more chances we will have to have new patches developpers. There are still so many tunes to cover that task is tremendous and I cannot do all that alone.

L'écho etap2 existe maintenant sous forme hardware, avec un kit à monter soi-même. je connais quelques personnes qui l'ont construite et qui en sont très contentes. Les infos sont sur le même site, mais tout est en anglais.

That Hungarian band "The Shadows feeling" is also quite good. They play live however.I am amazed at the European influence of the Shadows. Not well known in America however. Canada is a little different due to British Influence.

As explained in many videos, I am using a software solution for the sound, that is based on VST plugin technology, but that I am using in live condition. For the echo, I am often using the etap2 plugin. For midnight, i am using 2 separate/independant reverb plugins, panned differently on left/right channels.
Note that there is now an hardware equivalent to the etap2 plugin. A search on google sould bring you to this easily.

I am very lucky to play with excellent musicians, all attached to quality. We are all convainced that Shadows music has become somehow classic and that it must not be denaturated. So we try to play with the same style, the same sounds, the same ambiance, etc.. But this is a challenge and we don't succeed every time.
However, we are happy that you enjoyed our work.

springer16900 Oh i am happy alright. In fact i am listening to them now to set the mood for today. Your guitar work in itself is brilliant so the band feeds off you I believe. And what a band they are!. So how do you do it? They record the support tracks and you fill in from there or do they support the original lead track by Hank Marvin? Listening to FBI right now.
