Halva from Farsalon Delicious!!!

  • Traditional Farsala halva with roasted almonds and caramelized surface.
    Make the tastiest halva easily and quickly.
    Recipe ingredients
    800 gr. Sugar (4 tea cups)
    1 Liter of Water (5 cups of tea)
    240 gr. Corn Flour (2 cups of tea)
    100 gr. Seed oil (1/2 teacup)
    1 Vanillin
    150 gr. Roasted Almonds (1 cup of tea)
    The size of the cup I use in the recipe is 200 ml.
    Execute recipe
    In a pan, roast 150 g. almonds (1 fl.) without skin
    Stir over low heat until golden brown
    In a bowl, pour 500 g. sugar (2.5 fl.)
    1 Liter of water (5 fl.)
    Add 240 gr. corn flour (2 cups)
    1 Vanillin
    100 gr. Seed oil (1/2 cup)
    Mix with a hand whisk until smooth
    In a pan and on medium heat, pour 200 g. (1 fl.) sugar in portions
    Stir constantly until the sugar melts and caramelizes
    When the caramel is ready, remove it from the heat
    Add the cornflour mixture to the caramel
    Stir over medium heat for 5-10 minutes to melt the caramel
    When we pour the mixture into the caramel it freezes and solidifies,
    but with constant stirring it will dissolve
    Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, and they are absorbed
    the liquids and detach from its walls
    Turn off the heat and add the roasted almonds, stirring constantly
    Pour the mixture into a 30X35 cm pan.
    We spread it while it is hot, to cover the entire surface evenly
    After the halva has cooled, sprinkle it with 100 g. (1/2 cup) sugar
    Place on the upper resistance of the oven for 15 minutes, and bake at 200° C
    until the sugar melts and the surface caramelizes
    Leave to cool, cut into pieces and serve

    Γιατί έφτιαξες την καραμέλα στο τηγάνι και μετά την έριξες στην κατσαρόλα; Δεν μπορούσες να κάνεις την καραμέλα κατ' ευθεία στην κατσαρόλα;

    Δεν διευκρινίζεις πότε βάζουμε το λάδι.
