- While thousands of people move across Poland’s border with Ukraine to flee the war, one Polish woman has been crossing into the country every day to deliver aid supplies donated to Ukrainians and their army. Step Vaessen followed her on one of those journeys.

Do you remember Syrian and Iraqi refugees at the Polish border?? No one showed up there, to help. There was no food, no medicine, no shelter for Muslim refugees, but! cold freezing water and the army. Nobody was there to take care of a Syrian woman with a child. Polish turned their backs on them, if you differentiate between people, what human are you. Polish do an amazing job only because Ukrainians are Christians and WHITE. Others wouldn't get that help at all !!

Families being torn apart by criminal military, everybody would be scared.
This is the situations when people need to listen to their heart and help each other and stand up for each other!
Beliefs and skin colors will be no issue anymore to the youth, i know this from experiences. Those children will remember how bad this situation is and they will change their way of thinking. I would understand anger towards the people who left them alone in the terror, but children are often smarter when it comes to listening to the heart and see behind the illusions of some media and propaganda.
I am proud of the younger organisations who go for the change and support each other!
It is our duty to support the good in them and offer protection better than with weapons and the primitive destruction of war.
@@whiterose6186 not quite true. It was (and still is) Polish government who imposed this horrible distinction. People wanted to help, many helped despite being punished by the Polish government. Even now, when Ukrainians are coming here for refuge ordinarily people help, but government do nothing. All it did, it let them in. I know very well, because literally every person I know is involved personally- most hosting Ukrainians in their homes, others help with transport, cooking meals, and of course donating. Government will come to take rewards.

Unfortunately they weren't united at all, when Muslim refugees got stuck at Polish border. NOBODY went there to help. Luckily for Ukrainians, they are Christians and they are white.

I am so very proud of my Polish family and friends! There is a massive movement now in Poland. My friends and family travel to the Ukrainian border to take Ukrainian people to Polish homes. In social media, thousands offer their own homes, collect goods. Doctors provide free medical help. Brave Ukrainian people, and their president is close to our hearts! We only have one favour to ask - after this war is finished- we would like to borrow your president to our country! Glory to Ukraine!💛💙💛💙

This is INSANE ! most people with disabilities cannot fight ! They should make the decision of joining the armed forces themselves and not being sent by force to their death ! There should be some human rights organizations agents around the borders that people can talk to and ask for help with such issues ! Where are the UN Refugee Agency representatives ?

The story about a family who decided to turn back because they were told their 18 year old son cannot leave really struck me because I too have an 18 year old son. I and my wife would've done the same if we were in their place.
That is bad decision. 18 oldyears boy will have to join army or teritorial defense amd have to worry anout family beeing in danger in Ukraine.

Adam Burakowski, Ambassador of Poland to India, told The Indian Express that roughly 1,700 Indians had safely made it to Poland till 7a.m. (polish time).
"We have received almost four-lakh people already. Poland is ready to recieve anybody and any number of people trying to escape Russian aggression. We don't look at nationality, " he added.

This is the same UKRAIN which sent 8000 soldiers to Iraq as non NATO aligns and killed 1 million people including children and women. The Ukraine people have been blessed with many donations but they are not letting people leave their country based on the color of their skin that is wrong Free the Africans in Ukraine it is not their war!
Please advise any foreign person in Ukraine who is having difficulty evacuating to go to their embassy. Their embassy will provide protection and arrange transportation back to their home country, especially countries which are not supporting Ukraine. Don't get into the massive number of Ukrainians who are fleeing and have no home now. They are in great distress and have little to no alternatives, and there is always limited aid to refugees. Please help non-Ukrainians to get to their embassies, get safely to their home and not drain the only resources which the Ukrainians will have to survive.

Poland was against quasi-refugess- men with iphones that left helpless women behind in danger ( quite oposite to Ukrainians) and had enaugh money to run across few borders. Poland wanted to take women and kids stright from refugee camps not the ones that were able to cross to Europ themselves. In the end, many of the families that were taken, wanted to cross to richer countries anyway and didn't stayed as welfare i Poland isn't good enaugh.

I agree that there is racism but you have to understand the difference between helping a country thousands of miles away in a different continent compared to helping a neighboring country with people who are much more similar to you. This situation is like the USA helping Canadians compared to USA helping Syrians who we know little about. Again, not disagreeing that racism is real and plays a role.

That is fake news. Some Ukrainian policemen didn't let some africans on buses. But other than that nothing happened. Foreigners fleeing ukraine are still going through a different document pathway.
