If he wrote it with them, you'd think he'd remember their names, right? If you look at the songwriting credits for 'Purpose' (the album) each song has half a dozen of the best pop songwriters in the world so you can probably make a safe bet that Bieber's contribution to the finished product, other than the actual singing, is absolutely minimal.

If anyone ever watched an interview of a songwriter then I'm sure you noticed that they explain their collab process with the artist. A lot of the time more often than not I've witnessed countless songwriters say that they kinda get an idea of who the artist is. They have a conversation with the artist before the creating even starts... They basically find out what the artists wants to say on the album and they create that vision for them through music.. the songs they create may reflect what the artist has been through or what the artist is feeling but that doesn't make it the artist's Creation because a lot of the time they aren't involved in the creating process it's basically them picking out what they like about what the songwriters have already created or them picking out what they don't like and I think because of this Bieber thought that made him a Creator and it doesn't. Essentially it might be his vision and it might have to go through him but he's there just validating what he wants from what's being created by others not by himself.
