Hi Adrian, I'm about to fly with ANA in just under 2 months to Tokyo, stay in Yokohama and then get onboard the Diamond Princess and bring it back to Sydney - September cruise
Bad luck sir. ANA operates two flights out of Sydney. One is a daylight flight and the other is an overnight flight. Meal service on the latter is limited compared to daylight flight. Try the daylight flight next time and you will notice the difference for sure.
Yes, I discovered that in my research. In this case, I wanted to arrive in Japan in the early morning as opposed to the evening. Of note, when I recently flew with Asiana, a similarly timed departure from BCN didn’t affect the meal service provided… ruclips.net/video/wSOAY9651VI/видео.htmlsi=ZBfYU05m-zL1rowU
Is Sydney a high value route for ANA? The value of a route often determines the service you get. London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York will be some of their priority routes but I’m not sure Sydney features high on the list. This is one of the reasons BA reduced their capacity on their Singapore- Sydney route which is served by 787s compared to the A380 or 777-300 on the London to Singapore route which is one of their more profitable sectors.
That really is a very underwhelming Business Class experience. I’ve found JAL to be a more premium product. I’ve flown Asiana Business and despite the criticism I found it absolutely acceptable.
Asiana was great - I really enjoyed the experience. For me, business class dining is part of the fun and although it wasn't terrible, ANA missed the mark.
Add some yellow bits into the cabin and it'd be Ikea Airlines
🤣 haha yes, it definitely has that vibe...

Sounds amazing! Enjoy your time in Japan and your cruise onboard Diamond.

Emirates Premium Economy A380 - best bang for your buck i have ever experienced!
Nice! Thanks for sharing. I haven’t travelled with Emirates yet.
32kg each 👍👍 , I loved Hawaiian Airlines for this to but sadly earlier this year Hawaiian changed that to just 1 x 23 kg bad
Definitely helps to have the extra capacity 🧳

It’s getting worse. The once premium airlines charge more but give you less. Four sectors on SQ long haul and the seating was atrocious !
Baerie❤😂
