I like Lonzo and still do. But being the 4th option on a team and having two guys ahead of him in terms of dominating the ball isnt going to help him unleash his potential.
For the Knicks, Y'all are so injury-prone as in walker, Mitchell, Rose, etc. You have to worry about being healthy before worrying about the top 4 seed. Pound for Pound the bulls is killing y'all they have more than enough offense to outscore y'all on the nightly. Then the hawks talking about how y'all are so good we forget that Young has just beaten top defensive teams and players to get to the bucks. The Knicks who were a top 12 or 10 defensive team, were 76ers with 2 DPOY candidates. The Hawks were an above defensive team with an elite offense with Trae. Young can be enough to have an above-average team offense make it looks and plays like an elite offense when needed. Boston is better with the idea of 2 two-way wings in JB and JT there bench got better with Josh, Al, Smart, Dunn, and Kanter makes them have a plan on what they want to do. Having a line-up of Dunn, Smart JB, JT, Al. Coming off the bench with Josh, Kanter, and Payton have a better floor and ceiling so making high playoff seed

Also hold on, demar not averaging more than 4 assists with Toronto is cap. His last season he averaged over 5 and thats really where he started to evolve as a playmaker. It started in Toronto, not San Antonio. It continued and progressed un san Antonio. And it'll probably continue in Chicago too as the primary ballhandler and playmaker.
Funny how he forgot to mention that Trae young had an injured shoulder against philly, deandre Hunter their best perimeter defender didn’t play after the Knicks series due to a torn meniscus, bogdonavic injured his knee during the philly series and was a shell of himself, cam reddish the second best perimeter defender only played 3 games after coming off an Achilles injury instead those minutes went to Solomon hill who was horrible. Knicks are a poverty franchise. Evan Fournier is a bum he got cooked by harden

On the topic of the bulls I can see where the bulls will struggle because with Ball running the offense you are asking Demar to be a off ball player and Demar is very ball dominant as a bucket. So now with Demar you face the Westbrook problem they are both terrible 3 point shooters. With lonzo 3 point shot is good when its off the c/s but creating his own shot is not his thing so with that it makes Zach the only off ball player that can get his with any problem.
Also on defense y'all will give you a lot of points to average teams because the only real defense you have is Ball and Williams and that's not enough to stop someone. Plus the additional talent offensive yall can score but yall are not outscoring good defenses. This is not the Heat where they have the best of both world where that can score the ball in Butler, Kyle, Duncan, Victor if Healthy, Bam, Herro. But still can play and have a top defensive team with the Butler, Bam, Tucker, Kyle, and Victor. They can win day in and day out from the jump because the play on both sides of the ball
I think 5 through 8 seeds are gonna be a mix up between bulls knicks hornets heat and Celtics. I think the the knicks and heat will either of them be 5 or 6 seed and the other three is the real mix up. You don’t know how well the bulls will work together, there’s to much unknown with the Celtics, and the hornets your gonna need your rookies to step up to do well.

Only thing being destroyed is the Hawks playoff aspirations next season. Boston made the ECF in 2018 and lost in 2019 in the second round. Atlanta will lose in the first round next season.

Lonzo is going to be involved off-ball and on ball as well. Lonzo was literally a bail out option for Zion and Ingram. I guarantee the bulls are going to exceed expectations.
One of the reason I feel the Knicks are slept on is Culture, not to sound corny but we have culture. We brought back the same coaching staff, same players.. they’re going to have continuity and chemistry. That’s one of the reason we were 4th seed last year. On the other side the Bulls don’t have a good coaching staff nor, do they have chemistry. that’s why I give the Knicks the edge.
Rivs saying Payton was good on defense didn't watch our team buddy. This was his worst year by far that's why people are saying he won't be in the league. His defense was garbage nothing impressive. Saying we didn't upgrade so depth isn't upgrading? Better shooting isn't upgrading? Better playmakers? Better scores? Bullock has never been a great defender the Knicks made him into a good one. Never heard of him being a good defender before just saying🤷🏻♂️. We upgraded in every way besides defense. Tbh defense we didn't technically downgrade either that much if you think of it cause Fournier in the last couple of seasons has been good at defense everyone said his defense improved tremendously and working with a defensive coach won't help? Our team's defense relied a lot on our shot-blockers we brought them back. We never had stout perimeter defenders. Barrett was arguably our best one. We improved every thing possible and we honestly didn't lose any defense we should be worried about at all.

Demar will absolutely be the main facilitator in the halfcourt. Lonzo is limited as a playmaker in the halfcourt, elite in the fullcourt. Demar thrives as a halfcourt playmaker. Lavine more off ball tho yes.

You can not just say that def wasn't a problem and replace all the good defenders with objectively bad ones. Why wasn't it a problem? Because of injured AD or 36-37 y.o bron gasol? Or these guys who defended with their lives? None of these incoming players, including Brodie himself, are playoff performers or good defenders. I am not saying Lakers suck or anything like that. The Hawks were one of few teams that NEVER played with their entire roster. One two playoff games without arguably their second best player in DeAndre Hunter. Okongwu was playing with a torn labrum and just had offseason surgery and will be out until January. None of you guys brought up the Hawks injuries but made excuses for everybody else. The Hawks are coming. They are ran well now and they are only going to get better. I liked how you tried to tear down the Hawks and Bulls, but gave your can't score Knicks a pass.
