On the top edge by the door , How did you cut out the top/ side flange ? The part above the door is not removable . did you glue it back in instead of welding in that area ?
Hello are you on about the part in 2;36? As it gets 8mm holes drilled out and plug welded back onto the inner lamp panel. If its not this part then please do give me the timestamp and I shall gladly answer.
@@TwoSpanners 5:37 side door . near the roof . I am doing one now on the passenger side . Im worried I wont be able to weld the top front corner of the panel ,because of that thin panel above the side door . btw , I take the caulk off the top with a mapp gas torch and a scraper . two minutes ...
Hey at the top is a bead of sealer only, you can always FaceTime me if you would like and show me and I’ll explain, and as for torching the top we not allowed any more as the insurance methods won’t allow it and I have to follow them when it comes to insurance work
@@TwoSpanners I dont get it hot enough to burn the paint .but it will loosen the caulk . I finally got the ALL DATA sheet . They said to glue the area I was talking about . Thanks

Can I ask how many days or hours it took to do this?
Took me around 10-12 hours todo the job start to finish
How much would that repair cost
If parts where supplied to just put the panel on about £400 to weld it on
where are you based, i wanted someone who is good at this style of job to do a job on my ford transit connect van. u seem really good
