    I love this strong style SO MUCH!!!! Davey is my favourite wrestler, love his style! And Kyle is GREAT too!!!! This two - is amazing wrestlers. But Davey can wrestle with anybody and make at least good match. But this match is really awesome, I REALLY INSPIRED by Davey and Kyle. That's why i wrestle 7 years, because of ROH!!! And our "Ring Of Extreme" it's like "Ring Of Honor", but we are young and without a ring, but this is not a problem, we are good too. I really dream to join ROH.

    Many current and former ROH guys have wrestled all over the world so if they all came into WWE right now, many would impress because they know how the business works and they know what they can and can't do. That's why Tyler Black, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli can come up from FCW right now and be better than 80% of the current WWE roster. Of course, WWE won't use them to their full potential because they aren't "Vince-made" stars.

    I would like Davey to go to WWE for three reasons.
    1. He deserves to get paid serious money (not hating on ROH but WWE has more capital)
    2. The talent/ability he has may push other guys further
    3. He has nothing left to prove in ROH i.e. there's really no one left to beat

    I completely disagree dude.
    RoH doesn't have just this. Ring of Honor has so many more styles of wrestling than what was shown in one match, and I don't see how you judge a whole promotion by one individual match.

  • @milesmungo

    I liked it. At the very least, the style allows for sequences I've never seen before. As a fan and practitioner of MMA, I like the way the moves are applied to wrestling here. Surely there's the possibility of taking it too far, but what they did here was just right.

    one more comment by the way, and sorry to sort of spam the comments here with constant thoughts, but I kind of like the way they set up the camera angle here. With the primary camera being pointed at the "short" side of the ring as apposed to the "long" front the ring. Gives it kind of a unique look. I don't think that's something ROH typically does, and was probably just because of how they had to set up for the taping at this location, but I like it.

  • @3timeMVPNash
    @3timeMVPNash 12 лет назад

    Guys in ROH know more about pacing, psychology, and storytelling than many in WWE do. These guys know how to work. Their workrate is much higher than in WWE. Just because they pull off some amazing moves at times doesn't mean they don't know how to work a proper match, because they do. ROH just follows the puro style more than any NA company. I'd rather watch ROH wrestling than WWE wrestling with the exception of a few great guys now in WWE like Bryan, Punk, Ziggler, Cody, etc.

  • @4x4manify
    @4x4manify 11 лет назад +2

    Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. Danielson is in the shape of his life and finally got some charisma. CM Punk's wrestling better than he ever has. Moxley and Tyler Black are a part of the most entertaining angle in recent memory, and Hero, PAC, and Generico are on their way to the top in a matter of months.

    one hell of a match, davey richards is one of the best, if not the best, wwe would love to have this guy because he's clean, in shape, known all over the world, and doesn't need any training, although i pray he doesnt go there, wwe made a joke out of low ki and bryan danielson, seriously, bryan danielson is on wwe tv hugging men and yelling at divas, wtf, and cm punk is a millionare now so he doesnt have to do anything he doesnt want to do, no more drive.

    The thing about the business now is that WWE controls 95% of it and that is bad. Back then guys came into WWF/E and were ready because they had gained experience around the world. Now, guys train in FCW, learn the very basics, and get called up with little experience. They don't know how to work at all.

    I am fully aware that FCW is the so called developmental for WWE. But quality wise it still is kicking Raw and Smackdown's butt blistered red! better matches, better wrestlers, better concepts. WWE needs to be more like FCW. You never see 30 Minute Iron-Man matches on Raw or Smackdown. You do on FCW. Still hoping for a 60 minute Iron-man with Bryan and Punk at Money In The Bank. Would settle for a 30 minute one with overtime period. Seriously doubt such a thing will ever be booked.

    There's only one thing that REALLY bothers me about Ring Of Honor. Their commentary is pretty awful. Though the Battle In The Carolinas DVD they recently put out featured Jim Cornette on commentary and that was pretty great.They ought to put him as the color guy permanently, he knows how to build a match up on the mic much better than everybody else that they got.

    @35stevestarks Davey Richards has incredible technical skill and works an impressive, very stiff style...but he can't cut a promo at all in my opinion and quite frankly I've never seen him incorporate anything approaching real ring psychology into his matches nor does he sell very well. I remember watching him in a match with Eddie Edwards wherein Edwards worked on his arm for hat seemed like 10 minutes and Richards made a comeback without even a cursory acknowledgment to his arm.

  • @VonMuff
    @VonMuff 12 лет назад +1

    @CMY187 as for the Hogan part, if you think there is nothing to learn from him then to quote you, "in the nicest way possible", you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The basic key to pro wrestling success is "making them yell the loudest for the longest". And Hulk Hogan did that better than anybody ever. A Hogan look or hope or comeback at the right moment got 10x the reaction of just about anything else anywhere. And it's not a sport, it's a work. People seem to forget that.

  • @GillytheKid7
    @GillytheKid7 12 лет назад

    @3timeMVPNash I haven't watched much of ROH, but I agree with you having watched wwe for roughly 13 years now. This match here was better than most matches on wwe, including their top guys.

  • @VonMuff
    @VonMuff 12 лет назад +1

    @CMY187 Basically, you can learn a hundred little things about professional wrestling, improving as a performer, about how pro wrestling actually works from a Hulk Hogan or an Undertaker match. Everything I've been ranting about will teach you simply how to rush through everything in a random order for no apparent reason whatsoever. And I understand to a degree, it's easier to do that, no real learning involved. But it sure as hell doesn't mean I'm going to applaud somebody for doing it.

    @CMY187 ...idea that "this is how pro wrestling should be" and "WWE is bad" because we live in a digital age and that's what some sweaty idiots on the internet who've never been near a wrestling school in their life maintain. And this leads to shows all over the country featuring skinny guys who haven't seen a gym in there life getting all of their "MOVEZ", having 17 WWE finisher nearfalls, 3,628 superkicks and not a single fucking clue about working a crowd, making things mean something, that..

  • @bigfloridapimp
    @bigfloridapimp 12 лет назад +3

    @MrVader0173 Well Hero and Double C are just in FCW, and Daniels never hit the main event. But I agree, for pure technical ability ROH is where you want to go. Its not a perfect product by any means, but if you dont live in Japan and speak japanese to truly grasp their product, this is the best. I only say that because I think one thing Japan has over ROH is selling and story telling. Everyone wants to wrestle Steamboats style, but no one wants to tell a story like him, If only. :\

    @CMY187 ...less is more, about pacing, about doing things at the right time, about telling a story. You learn how to do all of the stuff, you learn to "master your craft", you gain an actual personality and a look and then you only have to throw a punch or a kick or even a look to get twice the reaction the skinny guys get from the latest 720-head-drop-straight-into-a-submission-that-instantly-makes-what-you-just-did-mean-jack-shit.

  • @VonMuff
    @VonMuff 12 лет назад +1

    @CMY187 I have a huge amount of respect for what they can do, KENTA especially but I don't particularly enjoy it. But I understand it a lot more in there case anyway, strong-style is part of the "mainstream" wrestling culture over there. In the west, strong-style is skinny guys doing impressions in front of 250 people because they either can't be bothered or don't have all the necessary tools to make some proper money.

    @CMY187 Who said anything about not appreciating what they can do? I respect the shit out of what Davey Richards is capable of doing. Teach him how to "work" and I'd bet money on him being excellent. But why should people "just try to enjoy the match for what it is" when it basically encapsulates everything that is wrong with professional wrestling in this part of the world? 100 hundred skinny kids will see this and think this is how pro wrestling should be because they have completely moronic..

    @TheFunkyDomination And i'm against him going to the WWE! That's just gonna make him look like a clown. What's the point for him to face a guy like John Cena, who has 0 wrestling skills. WWE doesn't give a shit about wrestling skills. All they want are 285 pound steroid freaks, or clowns who's good on the mic. They don't appreciate a wrestler like Davey. What ROH should do is constantly promote good quality wrestling, and bringing in guys who actually knows how to wrestle.

  • @VonMuff
    @VonMuff 12 лет назад +1

    @CMY187 Pacing/psychology/storytelling are something you learn the basics of in any decent wrestling school and you then go and work at it yourself from there simply by getting as much experience as possible, by listening, by studying etc. These guys simply aren't interested in doing any of that stuff. Because doing this or the "movez" bollocks is simply easier, a shortcut to people that don't know better. And "Pure wrestling skill" as you put it should make up maybe 20% of a pro wrestler.
