Jesus christ guys. 4 billion reactions to that song isnt enough already? There has been 3 new reactions to that damn footage already this week alone.
I hope that video along with Walk, CFH & Cemetery Gates gets deleted from RUclips.

GREATEST BREAKDOWN IN METAL HISTORY!!! 1.6 million broken necks on that drop!
For future reference: it's a sin to talk over a Dime guitar solo.
I was so disappointed lol

jeremy redd true facts my brother !!!
Agreed, but at least they didn't do the unthinkable and pause it during the solo.
Another great example is ‘Floods’...
Pantera is from Arlington Texas. The singer is from New Orleans. Pantera can’t be compared to anyone.
Ur right bro....they are def in a league of there own....hit that sub button bro and make sure u stay tuned for much more

Exactly Adam thank you
@@fyodorkaramazov2136 Pantera's influence will be felt for generations.
Adam Gilmore exactly!!! They are a class all their own!
"He's a good guitarist"...no bud, he was and still is the "best"
Let's not overreact.......
Kirk Hammett!!!

Shea Manning that’s definitely a bold statement, he’s amazing but not the best
You don’t compare Pantera to anyone else. You compare everyone else to Pantera!
I agree!!
That was my exact thought when dude asked the question.
Yup. Truth
Straight up!!! Back in 1990 when head bangers ball was in. I seen the world premier video. I was blown away! They had a unique sound. No one else never sounded like them. Most definitely an original band that influenced thousands of future musicians to come.
I thought this exact thing. Boom. First comment
"He's a good guitarist". Lol, Biggest understatement ive ever heard
Dimebag Darrel killed on stage, at his funeral Eddie Van Halen put one of his famous guitars in his coffin with him.
Dime was piss drunk everytime he was onstage, never affected his performance.
Frankenstein
That was an absolutely beautiful display from one of his biggest heroes!
Not to mention, it was a KISS coffin.
shad covert which Gene made them pay for like the greedy piece of trash that he is
"Who is most like Pantera" No one...they were in a league of their own.
Christopher Brickwedde 👏👏
there's exhoarder
Lamb of God. Not the same era, and they were influenced by them, but they are probably the closest match.
@@wizardofooze554 lol at exhorder.. That shit is corny as hell. No comparison
They’re from Texas and their is no other band like them due to the simple fact, they have a Dimebag Darrel. Their guitarist was the tone of a decade.
Its because they were from Texas. Now go shove the stars at night up yourself.
RIP Dime and Vinnie
He was close though, Phil is from Louisiana
Besides Hendricks tone of generations
RIP Dimebag and now Vinnie
"He's a good guitarist" ......understatement of the millennium.
By millennials 😂
Pantera stands alone. They created "grove metal". They take alot of influences from punk, thrash, and straight heavy metal and put that southern grove and swing on it.
We'll, Metallica have some groove metal songs. Leper Messiah being one
You can have all the steve vais, yngwie malmsteens, joe satrianis, jerry Cantrells, kirk hammets and Angus yungs in the world. But there will never ever *EVER* be another dimebag darrel Abbott. Rest in riffs my man you're still greatly missed to this day.
run those cheeks there will never be another of any of them 🤦🏼♂️
@@christophernorred80 their sounds and songs are easier to learn and mesmerize than any of dimes riffs and solos. So i beg to differ
run those cheeks I have friends that can play most things dimebag could play. To say that they are nothing special is ignoranca
Together with Alice in Chains, Pantera is probably the biggest/best band of the 90s.....(personal opinion)
I'm gonna have to throw Tool in there. Each of those are a different genre but each amazing in their own right. Nobody else sounded like any of those 3 groups.
Agreed
And Sepultura too...the "Big 4" of the 90's heavy music
I agree with this and would throw Rage Against the Machine in there as well
You all forgetting 6feetunder
"he's a good guitarist" that's the biggest understatement I've ever heard 🤣
Wouldn't be a full Pantera run through without throwing in Cemetery Gates.
We will definitely have to check them out hit that subscribe button for us and stay tuned you never know it could be next

Groove metal all the way. There were no other bands quite like Pantera. You mention the energy in that building, I've experienced their shows, and no other show that I w ever seen live even compares to these guys. R.I.P. Dime and Vinnie. You both are greatly missed.
Ain't no one like Pantera. Like Tool, they are there own genre of music.
That there is crowd surfing, boys. That's how us white boys got crazy in the 90's.
Lol... Did u see how hollywood reacted when he saw that guy dive head first into a sea of people. 😂😂😂
@@Hollywood6IX lol. I sure did. That's why I posted my comment about crowd surfing.
Cant forget to do the TOXIC WALTZ
Rest in Peace Dime. Truly our generations greatest guitarist, because honestly... he didn't just sell his soul for Rock and roll... he died for it. Dime gave his life so you could love some groovy jams.
Dimebag Darrel is one of the best guitarists that ever lived
For sure prob best
The most covered song by ALL heavy metal bands live. Pantera broke legend status with this one.
"Groove metal"
That makes perfect sense
@@smokeyrameriz478 if you guys want to check out a crowd size watch Pantera in Moscow preferably the Visio' Domination'
ITS FUCKING THRASH AND GROOVE.
Exactly what Max Eig wrote; Pantera was Groove/Thrash. They were extremely unique.
Well, that's what it's called.
"He's a good guitarist" referring to Dimebag one of the greatest to ever live
You HAVE to react to “domination” especially their live in moscow
GREATEST BREAKDOWN IN METAL HISTORY!!! 1.6 million broken necks on that drop!
For the most part there wasn't a lot of fighting in the pit at least at the Dallas shows if somebody got knocked down people tried to get them up as quick as possible we tried to look out after each other
Rodney Bean Thats how it should be 🤘🏻
Pantera is in a lane of their own. Dime and vinnie Paul were a duo like no other. But if yall love them, I'd have to say Machine Head would be another band to look into. Another great metal band with similar vocals, and chris demmel is another amazing guitarist, and Dave McClain tears it up on the drums.
Absolutely ! When they hit the clubs in 90 after getting phil, and creating the cowboys from hell album, they hit the thrash death metal scene and took it like a tornado. The diversity in their sound and in your face stage presence as I’m calling the best party band ever may never be topped.
Um, what about Damageplan?
@@claycollins9852 clay, there’s several offshoot side projects the guys were part of. Yeah there’s damageplan that had that heavy Seattle/Texas alternative sound, but there’s the other heavy slower direction that Phil took with Down. They had several side projects. It was a popular thing for popular musicians to do, work with friends they had made with other bands on side projects. I didn’t really like that alternative bullshit sound. Sounded gay as fuck, even with Darrel’s creativity. To whiny of vocals and melodic rhythms.
Pantera was a band all their own. "Dime Bag" Darryl was one f the best axe players ever
More Pantera
Check out domination live Moscow ‘91
And they are known as groove metal

Dime and Vinnie were amazing humans too. Super nice and appreciative to their fans ❤️
Lol you guys, I just came by from the Tool videos, I must admit, it's nice to see that music still unites people from different backgrounds (I mean, rapped nodding to Pantera? I love it). Cheers for the sheer genuine authenticity in your reactions ;)
Thanks alot buddy that means alot to us....hit that subscribe button and stay tuned for much more
There can’t be Another Pantera or Dimebag. He’s the greatest guitarist and is an inspiration of several bands and people like us.
The thing about moshing is it looks really aggressive, but everyone there is there for the love of the music. It looks like a brawl, but really it's a human bouncy castle. It's about unity and respect not violence and aggression. One man falls, 5 people are waiting to lift 'em up. Get to a show if you can and see for yourself. Or to put it in Hip Hop terms .. SLAM (duh duhnun duh duhnuh) LET THE BOYS BE BOYS! SLAM! (Onyx was fucking metal for hip hop \\m//)
Onyx actually did a version of Slam with a Brooklyn Hardcore Metal group called Biohazard. They also collabed on the title track for the Judgement Night soundtrack. That was a really awesome album.
I was one of few girls in there at “The Basement” was my stress relief and yes very respectful crowd working as a team to keep you up and there to pick you up before you hit the ground! Miss those days!
Human bouncy castle, that's perfect! There was actually a system to some pits with a leader, if you got out of control the leader had you kicked out. I saw these guys live, still one of the best shows ever.
Thank God you did Pantera. I'll watch all day if you're doing a Pantera reaction. And a lot more people will too.
Hands down one of the best live shows I had the privilege of seeing . Rest in peace dime bag and vinnie forever in our hearts .
Stoked to see you guys do my favourite band. And thanks for not pausing the video every 20 seconds like so many people who react!
I seen them in michigan 14 times there is nothing like being at pantera concerts nothing compares
Best there is
Best there was
Best there ever will be
I saw them before they broke out...worked the door. at the legendary Trocadero club in philly
This story cemented the legend of Pantera for me .... went to see Mudvayne and Sevendust ( Buffalo , NY ...if that matters ) , Sevendust had just finished their set and it was the break between them and Mudvayne ( who were headlining ). Now ... you would think the energy in that room would be directed at getting ready to see the headliners. So my friend and I go up to the bar to grab a beer . The PA is playing music as the roadies change up the stage . Random metal playing , no one paying it any mind . Enter " Walk " by Pantera hitting the PA That riff starts and I SWEAR all of a sudden all the random crowd noise starts to die down a little. By the first chorus... the E-N-T-I-R-E crowd was singing along to the PA. I have NEVER seen anything like that in 30 years of going to metal shows ! This was right around the time that Dimebag was murdered so it was especially moving. Pantera made all of us there that day brothers in metal music. LEGENDS.
I love this one but please react to Pantera- 5 Minutes Alone and also Down- Stone the Crow. Phil Anselmo sings for them as well. Great reaction

Yes please! "5 Minutes alone" it's almost got a rap vibe. "Gangsta Metal" one reactor called it haha
@@Hollywood6IX
Both of these songs are classics and have music videos.
But Stone the crow does not represent what Down is, Lifer or Temptation's wing are better choice to begin with this great band.
@@fyodorkaramazov2136 Any of them are great choices but I mentioned Stone the Crow cause I think it's a cool song and I like it better than the 2 you mentioned. However, to say one isn't what down is that's kind of ridiculous because they sing the song and it's pretty heavy like the others you mentioned. You must know better than anyone else though. 🙄
The only metal group to come out and survive during the 90s grunge era (don’t get me wrong, I love grunge music)! They are amazing!
Saw these guys `95 in Hamburg, Germany. They opened for Megadeth on their Youthanasia Tour. Dude they killed it sooooo goddamn hard, half of the people just turned around and went on going home when Megadeth started. I distinctively remember how "thin" Megadeth sounded after them. LOL
Darrell Dimebag was`nt just an "awesome guitarist"...he was THE MAN !!!
Both, he and his brother Vinnie (the drumer) are gone, left us way to soon. A least they are playing together again. :(
RIP Darrel
RIP Vinnie
Glad to see the reaction! I saw them when I was young, maybe 17 in a place called The Garage in Dallas when they first started. They weren't the headliner, and there were maybe 30 people in the audience. Wish I would have appreciated them better then!
Domination live in Moscow. Epic. The iconic breakdown.
One of a kind. Nobody compares.
Pantera was in a league all their own nobody was like them they were one of a kind legendary Pantera is considered Groove metal and I believe they're pretty much the only ones that ever were like I said One of a Kind legendary
The craziest stage dive ever was when the singer of S.O.D jumped off a massive stack of amps in their live video for Sargent D and the S.O.D -Live at Budokan. You two should check it out. The singers name is Billy Milano and he is a big dude! When he tries to get back on the stage a fan is in the way and he beat his microphone of his head and all you hear is THUMP THUMP THUMP......lol! S.O.D stands for Stormtroopers of Death and the band consists of members from Anthrax,Nuclear Assault, and M.O.D. The song kicks ass too and was used for Headbangers Ball on MTV back in the day. ruclips.net/video/b9aEZfVOvw0/видео.html

Pantera has nobody like them. The clarity, fidelity and quality of their sound is unmatched, i saw them live 3 times and they sounded incredible. And once you listen to them repeatedly, although they are heavy, you will find the melodic quality in their music. Dimebag, the guitarist, is considered one of the best guitar players in history, by fellow hall of fame musicians. The talent he had for music was unreal.
@@Hollywood6IX I just discovered you guys 2 days ago but, you did this video 5 months ago and this is still the only Pantera video I can find. Don't be like that 'other' channel and only react to Walk & then never revisit Pantera again. You've damn near covered Tool's entire catalog for Christ's sake. Give Pantera their just desserts please. They have just as many amazing songs as Tool. Just sayin'. And their fans are just as rabid as the Tool Army.
I was fortunate to see Pantera live 3 times. Each time was great.

Hollywood got it right. Those guys were in a zone of their own. They were thrash but nobody else has ever sounded like they did. Not to mention they spawned several genres of metal. Nah man Pantera is higher than metallica
Pantera is from my hometown, Dallas, TX and I first saw them before their debut album Cowboys From Hell hit and they just tore the joint up. It's great to see a legendary band before they hit it big time."Dimebag Darrell", their guitarist, was shot and killed by a deranged fan at one of their shows. RIP Dimebag. Yeah I'm not the biggest metalhead so I never put them in any sub category, just a metal band is how I've always seen them. But I love my local bands. Another band from my town that's really good is Tripping Daisy. I'd recommend their song "Blown Away". They're more of a psychedelic punk alt rock band.
That song always comes with the videos of try not to headbang challenges.. The magic of those 2 notes.. just cant resist headbanging
Dudes, pantera live was fucking incredible. In a class by themselves.
The world lost 2 of the best metal artists...Pantera was one of the most influential groups to come out of that time period. I bet anything they still inspire new metal bands to this day...
They were big hockey fans and went to all the Dallas Stars games and were friends w/ a couple of the players riding their Harleys and partied when Stars won the Stanley Cup. They even wrote a song the team uses when the team comes out on the ice and score goals.
Pantera is in a league of their own like Slayer, Vinnie Paul (drums and co founder) and Dimebag Darrell (guitar) were brothers and unfortunately both gone to soon, Dimebag was shot and killed on stage in '08 and his brother passed 10 years later from a heart attack. The good always die young
I'm new to y'all channel. Loving it. When I was in high school almost 30.years ago. My buddy was hard core rap. Too short, slick rick, etc. I was hard core rock and metal. Slayer Metallica etc. We were friends but hated each other's music. Then one day realized our differences. Thank yall for bridging. If you looking for metal. System of a down, deffinatel SLAYER. Another yall might trip on in suicidal tendencies, trust me. 1980 Los Angeles mexican punk rock band. Pick any ST and I promise you will trip. They inspired a whole collection of band. Good job guys. Ps dont be scared by slayer, they look scary, but if you listen to the lyrics anti war anti hate. Believe that
Phillip Anselmo - lead vocals, Rex Brown - bass, Vinnie Paul Abbott - drums, Daryl (Dimebag) Abbott - guitar. Southern groove metal. They were a genre all on their own. Best metal band EVER!!! Phil had a 5 octave voice range. He could sound like an opera singer, or he could sound like he just ate nails and drank gasoline. Don't even get me started on Dimebag, the guy was sick. No other guitarist like him, he was straight fire!!! And what you have to understand about metal is, they write all their own shit and they actually play their own instruments; no synthesized bullshit, this is pure, raw talent!!!
06:45 he is good guitarist...GOOD !!!! My friend, that was Dimebag Darrell Abbott one of the BEST GUITARIST who ever lived on this planet. RIP

History - Pantera
Panteta, Sepultura & Prong 1994 was the best show ever !!! And the pits and energy is (was) amazing. So dope you are doing this.
The reason why you couldn’t find anyone to compare them to, was because there WAS no one to compare them to, especially at the time. Many people classified them as groove metal, but they’re mainly thrash. Believe it or not, the singer actually has an amazing vocal range. And that really good guitarist you mentioned? Yes, he died in 2004. He was actually murdered on stage by a crazed fan, in front of his brother, who happened to be the drummer in Pantera as well. He just died a few years ago too. The story of this band is actually quite tragic. But for many Metal fans, they will always remain a favorite. This whole album was pretty awesome. Check out Hollow, This Love and Mouth for War to see the range on it.
You were close about their origin, the whole band is from Texas except for the singer who is actually from Louisiana
Pantera are from Texas, Arlington if Im not mistaken. Lejends of metal. Both the guitarist and the drummer, who are brothers are sadly now dead. Dimebag was murdered on stage aswell as four more people. R.i.p.
I worked for pantera in 89 and they called the style more of a southern groove metal.
Often imitated,never duplicated;
Pantera always will be in a league of their own, there will never be another metal band like them. God
