- Happy 2020 everyone!
Once again, it's been a while. I hope you guys haven't missed me too much.
In these crazy and uncertain times, I also find myself at home for weeks due to life circumstances, but the beautiful thing is that my keyboard and studio are always there- leaving me an endless world of musical possibilities.
I got super inspired recently and this is the result. I think I'm slowly getting more involved in the fandom again, I think much of that is due to the recent announcement about Magic Railroad getting a Blu-ray release! For some reason that just got me super excited about Thomas again.
As a thank you once again to you guys for all your support and appreciation over the years, this piece is free to use. If you choose to use this piece of music in one of your videos, I just ask that you simply credit me.

I am also happy to announce that I recently created a Patreon account. Making music like this is not cheap nor does it happen quickly, so any financial support you could provide would be incredible and much appreciated.

Thank you so much, everyone! The more inspired I am and the more Patreon support I receive, the more music I will make!
Until next time!

Hey all, how would you like to see an entire album full of tracks like this?
Check out my latest project Thomas Reorchestrated: Sodor Symphony on Kickstarter to find out more! www.kickstarter.com/projects/nathantiemeyer/thomas-reorchestrated-sodor-symphony
Why was there a random chorus in the end of the epic orchestral part
@Alan A Dale also how did you make this orchestral
Sorry to do it like this but @upsidenow is there anyway I could get French horn sheet music for this?
Who else was reminded of how awesome this was after UnluckyTug's video on Gordon?
Yes
Indeed
#SodorsFinest
Yes
Yes! Especially from 1:19-1:44.
“ ‘Remember Thomas!’ Said Gordon, grandly, ‘United we stand, together we fall!’ “
One of the best quotes from Gordon
What was the context of this one here?
Sadly with Season 25 they surely did fall
@@dkoda840 lmao
@Alistair Alan A Dale It’s a reference to George carlin
"Poor Thomas was going faster than he had ever gone before. He was out of breath, and his wheels hurt him, but he had to go on. 'I shall never be the same again,' he thought sadly. 'My wheels will be quite worn out.'"
"Well well well little Thomas, now you know what hard work means don't you?"
Poor thomas couldnt answer he was out of breath
@Vincent Does Stuff Yes, he and I do have the exact same profile picture, but I chose mine prior to knowing he had the same one. Additionally, I've spoken with him regarding this, and he seems fine with it, though I'll likely change my profile picture once I start uploading more videos.
@Harr123 Perhaps it could be construed more as stretching the truth a bit as opposed to a flat-out lie. My theory is that after Thomas had his experience with Gordon, he vowed to not be cheeky to him, but given that Thomas has always been a cheeky engine, he likely soon forgot about his promise.
Another possibility is, since Thomas was pulling his own train and Gordon was pulling a goods train at the beginning of "Down the Mine," Thomas likely figured Gordon wouldn't have the opportunity to run him ragged if he was being cheeky.
A third likely circumstance is that maybe the Rev W. Awdry didn't expect "The Railway Series" would reach the popularity that it has, and wrote the "Thomas and Gordon" story as a one-off.
Who else thought that this comment was thunderbolt 1000t siren productions for a second.
Ah, Nathan! I'm so glad you're still creating.
your my most favored TTTE youtuber
Mate just for preference next time I think you should tell him that on his own channel or during one of his Minecraft live stream. I don't know how this makes Nathan feel but it might make him feel a bit down so maybe we could tell d199 that on his own channel ordering a Minecraft live stream. It also probably has a more likely chance of him seeing it.
where the hell did you come from?
With what nathan
DieselD199 i love your channel
Conducter: How much epic you can make it?
Horn section: yes.
There's a story in this, here's my take
0:00 - 0:33 Waking Up (Early Morning at Tidmouth)
0:33 - 0:45 Ready to Go (Departure)
0:45 - 1:05 Away We Go (Journeying)
1:05 - 1:18 The Indignity! (Delayed)
1:18 - 1:44 Making Up for Lost Time (Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!)
1:44 - 2:10 Triumphant & On Time (Arrival)
2:10 - 2:37 A Well Deserved Rest (For a Grand Engine)
In short Gordon totally ran away with the Orchestra that was on tour, thanks for coming to my Ted talk
this comment is underrated
@@ecpcharles honestly!
me deep inside: What the fuck is this supposed to mean
I love that! I commented my interpretation too
Wow. Just. Wow.
“Down the mine, is he?” laughed Gordon. “Ha ha, what a joke! Little Thomas, we’ll have you out in a couple of puffs!”
*EXPRESS COMING THROUGH!!!*
HURRY HURRY HURRY!!
“Well little Thomas now you know what hard work really means” -Gordon 1984
Even in dark times, there's always a silver lining to it.
Exactly
Every cloud has sliver lining...
Sometimes that silver lining is blue... and Named Gordon 😁
Gordon: "My clouds today will have a silver lining I'l see my bossy brother as an underlining"
Is there a siver lineing to seasons 25?
This would be the main theme of the Gordon the big Engine movie!
That will be a thing? If not it should be!
The starting theme song of the movie introducing us to gordon
Gordon getting a refit and restoration so he can run the express again at his centennial.
@@singletona082double header with Scotty
Nah. Much as it'd be grand to have the flying scotsman show up for Gordon's centennial, him and rebecca doing a double header is thematically more fitting. jGordon's content to let the express go, but this time it being something to show what he and rebecca can do together as way to just... show off and have a bit of fun.
And then go back to a quiet dignified retirement, satisfied he has proven his point that he still has waht it takes ... Even if only once in awhile.
@@lloyd9710
I legit got chills and even teary when driving Gordon pulling the Express down the main line while listening to this, That's how magical this song is.
Same Bro 😁😁
@@Filoxenía-d6c me too
If we where in the Thomas universe we would blast this whenever Gordon departs to another country
1:18 - 2:10
Come on, we have to agree that this is the best part of the whole video
You sir, are very correct lol
Yep
The Unlucky Tug’s Gordon video ends with the climax of this piece, so naturally I had to find and listen to the whole thing.
Also, this should've been in the Thomas movie, "The Great Race" during the "Shooting Star is Coming Through" song.
You my friend, we need more people like you-
Init
Let me get this strait... that would make the movie completely
Shooting star was a terrible idea for Gordon. It would have been better for one of the other engines, who then fails before the race, and Gordon has to do the race instead.
@AbdulAzeem Shaikh O-Ok then...
Gordon was running very fast! His wheels pounded the rails. “He did it I’ll do it”! “He did it I’ll do it”! Gordon’s train rocketed past and was gone. “He’ll knock himself to bits”! Chuckled Duck.
Gordon thought the wind wanted to knock him off the rails as he crossed the viaduct. "Oh no you don't!" cried Gordon as he pounded along the line. The wind crept up his boiler and ripped his dome off of his boiler! His dome clanged onto the rocks at the bottom of the viaduct.
Gordon wanted to go back, but he couldn't.
“You are an LNER A3 Pacific, you and your cousins built this land together! The steam that runs through your boiler is the stuff of legends! Finding you had made for a splendid day, splendid indeed” Sir Topemhat readjusted his grip on his pen as he scribbled in his checkbook. The engine in question believed they were being bought for scrap. His eyes widened when Sir Topemhat hit three 0s and kept going a bit after. “You’d really go through all that trouble for me?” Sir Topemhat laughed warmly. “Trouble? Pah!” The fat controller scoffed, “My boy, don’t you understand? Where you’re going you’ll be the shinning star of my railway! With a day at the works and a fresh coat of paint you’ll be a grand sight to behold. I’ve needed a good express engine for my main line.” His firebox fluttered and he felt faint. “Me? An express engine?” Sir Topemhat smiled warmly. “You should be proud. And a proud engine deserves a good name. Hmmm...” a puff of steam rose from the stack as an idea came to the engine. “I’ve quite liked the sound of Gordon myself sir.” Sir Topemhat firmly agreed.
This feels like it would play if Gordon and Flying Scotsman went on a rail tour together
I like that idea, Gordon taking a special train to the Flying Scotsman's 100th birthday and running together - this would be an epic theme for our 2 favourite Gresley Pacific locomotives!
Since the High Speed Trains took over the express, Gordon has been restored to his original condition and Great Northern Railway livery for his own 100th birthday and the Flying Scotsman's...
Gordon would most likely look like A1 Pacific number 1470 "Great Northern" in original condition...
That's a series I'd love to see made. I've subtitled it Scott and Gordon. Mainland adenture tours. Gordon joins his famous brother on the mainland and together they visit all the places on Scott's famous agenda. I can just see the two of them crossing the tracks past the Dawlish sea wall!!!!
I'm one year late but 0:21 Is one of the most Epic things i've ever heared and even if it's "made with a computer" it really sounds like a real orchestra... incredible
1:19
“Cmon Astrotrain, give it the beans!”
Gordon has always been my favorite character in the Thomas franchise, he taught me the be proud of yourself for what you can do.
Gordon's incredible journey throughout the books is unmatched.
This is legit something you'd hear at the beginning of a movie in the theater. Absolutely brilliant.
Oh this is majestic! Out of all the covers of Gordon’s themes I’ve heard over the years, this one most of all just screams, “This Is Gordon!” Beautiful work!
I feel like I should be in an action movie riding a fast horse! 😅😂🤣 Love it, very well done. 👌
An iron horse.
*Fastest and Best*
*Pulls the Express*
Grandest Engine of Sodor, Indeed ❤️
😮😮😮😮😮
*Claps with sheer joy!*
He did it....
HE MADE GORDON'S OG THEME BADASS!!!!
*This is the greatest Gordon theme remix I've ever heard...* 😊😊😊
This sounds like an opening to a movie, it feels so satisfying!
Never in my life have I ever needed something so much and never known until I received it
Seriously...if you did this same kinda epic cover of the various engines and primary themes as a playlist I’d have reinvigorated something thought to be lost to time from an otherwise depressing childhood...the one faint star has reignited...
Unreal! This is the Gordon I know and love!
Gordon is certainly one of my favorite characters. He's one of the most important, he's Sodor's Premiere Express Engine! He's even related to the Flying Scotsman, a celebrity in their universe!
Very nice, riveting cover of our favourite galloping sausage. I like how you used the A major part as he first takes off to make it more epic then when the journey is in full swing it goes back to the proper key of the music, very well played!
HOLY CRAP!!! I never thought I could see or hear Gordon’s theme be as epic as this!!! Great Job!!!
1:18-2:10 I can imagine the Brass band playing this on the Express, making every passenger dance, while Gordon hums the tune as he is speeding along, even when he races Spencer, or when he passes the other engines, like Thomas, or Emily, making them hum the tune as well. This is also the best part of the song, and was used twice in Unlucky Tug's Gordon's Sodor's Finest video.
Happy 100th birthday Gordon.
This is one of THEE GREATEST MASTERPIECES I HAVE EVER HEARD!! BRAVO my good sir, BRAVO!
I would pay so much just to get a glimpse of what the score looks like for this. It’s great!
Oh my fucking god, this is freaking amazing.
Its nearly sounds like it's is from a blockbuster film.
And also, it's good to hear you making music once again.
This literally makes me tear up every single time I listen to it. So grandiose, so epic, so beautiful. This is one great great great piece of art!
I literally got goosebumps from how epic this is! Amazing work Nathan!
This is what I hear in my head now when I think of Flying Scotsman, and LNER A1/A3, or any other express passenger locomotive from Pacific’s to northerns at high speed. 1:17
Wow this is epic well done Gordon is mighty impressed !
Happy 100th birthday 🎉 Gordon!
This brought back my childhood.
Thank you mate. Honestly much appreciated.
Gordon is a really useful and proud engine. Big and pompous at times but he is someone you can't be without. Without him, we can't get where we need to be on his Express! All I hear is his whistle as he pounds the rails along the mainline!
I cannot put to words how much I love this! I look forward to hearing the rest of these! Excellent work!
This is what this song makes me think of. Please read to the end!
It's a frosty and cold morning in Tidmouth. Sir Toppham Hatt's son walks up to an old storage shed.
Chris Hatt: "So you said he's In here, right?" Guard: "Yes sir, right inside." Chris Hatt walks through a side door to see the giant, forgotten, and rusty A3 Pacific.
*A few years later* Chris Hatt: "Okay, fire it up. Let's see what it can do." A raging fire starts in under a minute, due to the magic of the Sodor steamers.
A face reappears on the smokebox door of the A3. It's Gordon! Gordon: "What happened? How long have I been in that shed?" Chris Hatt: "A long 60 years. I am you old controller's son, Chris. I'll explain everything later on, but for now we need to see you run. Your cars are outside."
After coupling up and getting a clear track, he pulls away. For the first time in 60 years, the pride of the NWR lives again.
Someone write this or I will
Gordon: Hurry, hurry, hurry!
At last Gordon felt like his old self again feeling the wind rush by his funnel and a long stretch of track to stretch his rusty old wheels.
Gordon: it feels great to be in steam again. I love to go fast as well as the coaches I pull. I wonder how much has changed.
Chris: a lot has old boy your old fleet has spread across the island working at different areas. Gordon: will we get to see them. Chris: of course we will old boy they’ve been wanting to see you again. Gordon: oh how very splendid I can’t wait.
Gordon: are there any steam engines on the island since I last ran?
Gordon asked as he continued to gain speed and look around the island for any familiar faces.
Chris: a good number still run to this day but there are more diesels than you remember.
*"Gordon Is This Series's Representation Of Life"*
After watching this all I can say is Damn. That's beautiful.
This is what would happen if Gordon became part of the MCU. Excellent rendition of Gordon's Theme!!! It is amazing!
I have to admit I get Spider-Man 2 feels
Truly a masterpiece. Welcome back Nathan!
Astrotrain finally gets to live up to the latter half of his name!
Astrotrain: FINELY! I GET TO BE A TRAIN!!! *transforms* CHOO CHOO YA BASTERDS!!!
Come on Soundwave put your back into it!!
@@ChaosRaziel "I *AM* PUTTING MY BACK INTO IT!!!"
@@fishpop "Well 'put your back in to it' faster"
All I picture is Gordon thundering down the mainline with the express 😊
This might be the best piece of music I’ve ever heard! I love Gordon’s orchestral theme considering he is my favourite character,
You really deserve a metal for this music it’s outstanding!
This feels very reminiscent of Superman’s theme and it’s very fitting for Gordon. Absolutely love it!! ❤
This is amazing! Glad to see new content from you!
This sounds wonderful! You've done outstanding work! :D
I think I need a warm coat; I don't know why I'm shivering listening to this.
This deserves to be on Spotify as its an epic orchestrated version.
Gordon is truly the most proudest and majestic locomotive
My interpretation of the music:
0:01 Morning in the sheds
0:34 Firelighter, turntable, and blows the whistle as they set off
0:45 Waiting at the big station
1:07 Guard's whistle and pulls through Knapford Junction
1:16 Hurrying along the express line
2:11 The last station stop
nice.
What a majestic song for an equally majestic engine! It suits Gordon very well.
I want this to go on Spotify so I can listen to it everyday in my playlist
Holy cow! This was seriously epic! Okay I was expecting to be epic, but you really blew my expectations out of the water! 11/10!
Gordon is an express engine who lives at a big station on the island of Sodor. He's a grand engine with 6 large drive wheels, a short, stumpy funnel, a short, stumpy dome & a long, wide boiler.
Wow. This was absolutely amazing! I can honestly see this being used in a big epic movie about Thomas and Friends
'This might be my last trip, but I'll get the children to their boat on time.' - Gordon
I'm reminded so much of your Flying Kipper piece. It's like Gordon is pulling the Wildnorwestor through the early winter morning.
I know this video was 2 years ago...
BUT WHAT AN AMAZING MUSIC PIECE!!
I can imagine Gordon being disqualified at the great railway show due to his boiler, but after a quick repair, Gordon is back in the race, and trying to beat his brother, the flying scotsman. c:
This would be perfect for Gordon last express run before finally passing the torch to Pip and Emma.
Mmm, There’s probably a reason this is my 14th time listening to this, I wonder why....
Amazing as always,
1:19 - 2:12 This had me in complete chills on how great this sounded. Fantastic job here!
This brings tears
Makes a trip from London to Birmingham feel like an epic quest!
I love it. I can sense speed, strength and power; which was all to do with Gordon the Big Engine.
Incredible, marvelous, and beautiful. I am in awe, you've outdone yourself!
“I’ll start at 1:18 and listen to 10 seconds of this.”
Me after
“THIS IS SO EPIC HOLY SHIT”
YEAH!!!!!!!! GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t realize how much I needed this music piece. So amazing lmao.
"Oh the Indignity!"
*-Gordon, every single time he messes up or sees something messed up*
This is really beautiful, I am really love of it, and you do so well to make this music video and the view is really beautiful and it is really breathtaking video, really enjoy of it, thank you for post and share, your project is brilliant Nathan!
The best version of Gordon's theme ever.
**EXPRESS COMING THROUUUUUUUUU!!!!**
POOP POOOOOOP!!!!
I just ordered a batch of spare parts to repair the Tomy Gordon ive had since childhood, i feel its necessary to listen to the anthem of my people lmao
Well, well, well! I was just looking at your SoundCloud, and saying to myself, "I wonder what he's up to now? I wonder if he'll ever upload again..." and low and behold, I got my wish! Welcome back to the world of RUclips! 😄
I blown away
Gordon will always be my favourite engine, because my (late) grandad and uncle have the same name.
*whistle* *whistle* EXPRESS COMING THROUGH
“Rude to ruin and the world’s ending!” Cried Gordon
DAMN!!!! Your work puts most so called 'professionals' on television to shame. This was more epic than most Hollywood scores.
We need a Gordon fan film where he copes with the fact that his class are all being scrapped
Everyone except flying Scotsman who survives
This is pure art by itself outside of the original and multiple versions of this theme 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎻🎻🎻🎻🚂
beutiful...just beutiful
This sounds like could work out for a movie about Gordon. Although what would a movie with Gordon as the star be about? How he came to Sodor and what his life was like before?
maybe a rewrite of the great race.
I want to thank you dearly, you have given me a huge confidence boost
You’ve given Headmaster Hastings a run for his money with this!
This is absolutely stunning! Amazing job.
This works too perfectly! Great job!
