Web3 is pseudo anonymous. Most people use avatars and fictional names. This has proven extremely well because all discussions in crypto, NDTs, web 3 has ZERO dividing tactics. You don’t see the persons gender or face, religion. To have an internet persona and gain followers is purely based on what comes out of your mouth and wether people find what you tweet interesting. Gone are the days where people need to push, divide between genders. Also all DeFi protocols are fully autonomous. Your credit score doesn’t matter, there can be no discrimination because you interact with smart contract, nit a human being.
Its a total non-factor.. if they want to be there and they have something to contribute, no one's going to stop them. But of course it's 2022 so no matter the topic you have to shoehorn the question of diversity in there somewhere
We (myself and others) have been pitching decentralized projects since 2008 and before. The only thing that has changed is the centralized players have proven themselves to be controlling and ironic - some would say fascist, just like the powers they disrupted (telcom, etc).
Question at 23:00 about gender seems so unnecessary. Blockchain is open for everyone from the start, everyone can join! Education on this doesn't happen on college campuses but in the internet, accessible to everyone. My experience is, that most women just don't seem interested in the technology, find it scammy, too intangible, too nerdy, too much tribalism etc.
