These shots are from early prototype testing that was done before the lockdown. Recent 'spy shots' from testing shows the shifting is much quicker now and they're also revving the car to 11k whereas they were short shifting at 8k before.
problem with single clutch is its two function action, disengage and engage. with twin clutch it could be overlayed, one disengage one engage, two clutch one action each rather than one clutch two action
@@Cain353 Like the Lamborghini Sian, the electric motor is used for instant gear changes via rev matching and blipping, which is why a single clutch gearbox even works.
Great video! Only a few comments that I would like to add: -Would have liked a more detailed analysis on the double step diffuser but I understand, there are not a lot of images to work with; -In more recent versions I think that the rear diffuser footplate with half-cylinder tube doesn't exist and they adopted another idea
If Aston and Red Bull get this car right it could be a real game changer. I dont see any production car coming anywhere near this in terms of lap times.
This and the T.50 seem like similar yet different cars. I would've liked more freedom for Adrian Newey, he probably had other ideas. Why did he leave the project? I would've loved it if the car had a single-center seat. Everything else seems pretty great.
This car has taken so long to produce is it as ground breaking now as it seemed a few years sgo. To me no still very interested but you can't take forever to develope a car anymore. Things are moving fast. Will this car be a better performance car then let's say the new czinger 21C i have my doubts
the aero is so far above an other hypercar it will definitely have better performance. No other hypercar has what is essentially a formula 1 car underbody at this point. Its all flat floors and basic ass splitters and diffusers. Even the Bolide has shittier aero, where its form is more controlled by styling than actual performance.
@amarjit singh My opinion is totally relevant. A relation actually works at AM as a production manager, this car will never be built. As usual this BS from AM is spouted to try to keep interest in their (poor) products..
@Amarjit Singh He's certainly not an unhappy middle manager, far from it. You speak as though you know Stroll personally which you don't. This car will NOT be available next year nor any other year. Not sure why you're keen to have anything from AM, their products are very average at best..
@Amarjit Singh you really are up your own arse arent you. I don't have to tell anyone how to do their job. Only a few months back AM were asking for investors money. Its NOT being produced. Quality control is already dire, attempting to introduce another model just isn't feasible or viable for AM. I don't know where you live but I'm in the UK, 'capiche kid' is not part of the English language so no idea what that means..

I like this simple animation at 9:40
That rear diffuser is bonkers
at 13:40 just watch how it threw up some dust or powder from the track even at low speeds
That single clutch sounds pretty slow on upshifts, I wonder if that's something they can improve with further tuning.

That is probably where the hybrid system helps

Someone says there was not enough space for dual clutch tranny. Plus weight saving.

thanks...think the double diffuser really benefited as a loophole in the rule book allowing to draw air from under the floor to over

would be amazing to see it run at the nordschleife
T.50 and Project 1 should be similar in lap times
The T.50 will send it.
If it can features a "Speed camera free" as a special stealth function for the car. It would be very nice.👍

What is the road legal track car you mentioned as a comparison?

Czinger 21C? This is made by Adrian Newey, the God of Aerodynamics. Enough said.
Per il motore che ha, avrebbe dovuto avere un suono migliore per me...

Produced efore covid 19 became fashionable.
