its funny cuz they dont realize its a tv show so what the characters wear have to do with the characters lifestyle and personality, even the characters past would impact their clothing style. like aria is supposed to be an edgy character that tries new things and doesnt care what other people think. and hana is the new "it girl" whos trying to take over alisons role in school. before her new look in school she used to wear sweats etc. so its very possible that there are times when she makes a wrong or "odd" choice in outfit.
I think all of the characters have their own style and that makes the original. You have to know more of the backstory and stuff

So, first of all, most of the people in this video should NOT be talking about fashion considering what they're wearing. Second of all, the vid title suggests hottest outfits, not a "worst outfits/what is she wearing?" type of video. Third of all, Emily's fashion is tomboyish at best, Paige is the one that they add the more masculine clothes to (she wears the tuxes, etc). Fourth of all, what's with the random range of outfits? We go from Spencer when A is revealed to Spencer in season 1. Ugh, I have never felt so good pushing the dislike button.

I love how rude they are being about the styling of these characters clothes when most of them cant even put a decent outfit together. I love the Clevver people but this episode was so judgemental and it was shaming creative fashion and style the entire time. This was negative and mean and at no part constructive criticism. all the girls on PLL are dressed so well and fit their characters. the stylists do a great job and that should have been mentioned. to say that aria and spencer have the worst clothes is mind blowing because I think they have the best. none of the girls are afraid to wear what they want and that is beautiful and then I watch this show and youre actually discouraging people from dressing they way they may want to. I'm rarely offended but this episode upset me. tame it down next time and say some postives things in with your criticism. the world has enough hate as it is.

I feel like none of you really watch the show. Aria's clothes are creative and edgy. Emily's clothes are casual but do not scream lesbian. Hanna is gorgeous, has beautiful clothes, and calling her thick is no better than saying fat. Spencer is elegant and clean cut, which is something more people should appreciate. No hate, just my opinion.

The truth is, the characters aren't meant to be 'high-fashion', they are meant to fit with the style of the CHARACTER not the RUNWAY. They are analyzing them like they're runway models walking down the runway in fashion week. It's a show which calls for character stylists. The show is mainly targeted to teenagers. Every episode is set in the everyday world. NO ONE DRESSES HIGH FASHION EVERYDAY IN THE REAL WORLD. Emily to me, always has a laid back style I dig but I love her in dresses. However, the show isn't about the clothes, it's about the more than interesting story. Sometimes, I feel like they take this 'high fashion analysis' video thing a little too far. Chill, chill. This is not the runway...because you know, there's no red carpet in the real world.
Pretty Little Liars has the BEST fashion on TV right now and they clearly didn't know anything about the show. The least they could have done was Google the plot and the character summaries and get why they dress like that. A TRUE PLL Fan knows that Hanna is not the richest of the girls. What they wear suits their personality. This is pure hate...

Why are they judging their outfits so harshly? What they are wearing matches who they are as people, let them wear what they want to wear. You shouldn't be telling them to spice it up or tone it down, it's just them as a person. And Emily's (Shay's) clothes do not scream, "I'm a lesbian." This video is kind of inaccurate. That is not at all how Hannah dresses. And when Lilly said that she is the rich one. That is so not true spencer is the rich one Hannah and her mom were actually struggling with money.
I don't they understood the 'meaning' of the outfits.
1) Aria is meant to be like a diy girly outfit.
2) Emily's outfit is meant to be a *little* around the sexuality, not meant to be 'Hey! I'm a lesbian'.
3) Hannah is chic stylish and is a formally casual person.
4) Spencer's outfit is based on what her mum allows her to wear. Since she is very smart the costume designer designed it like a librarian or something that suits her.
TBH and no hate the comments the made on the girls were pretty rude. But if you want to know they're outfit backstory I suggest maybe searching it up on RUclips.

They didn't choose the best pictures like it says in the title. I feel like they do that often and it verges on being clickbait. I have some problems with what they said in this episode too:
1) I hated the way they talked about Emily. They stereotyped her and called her butch even though THAT isn't butch.
2) Also, Emily is a swimmer and she prefers comfort. Sporty/edgy clothes are just a preference and it makes sense with her personality (not to confuse with sexuality)
3) Even before Emily came out, she wore those clothes. I hate stereotyping based on sexuality. You should rise above that.
4) Hannah isn't the richest; Spencer is - which is why she wears classic designer pieces.
5) Did you just call Hannah a slut?! Because I really hate that word. It's not okay.
6) I know not every outfit was amazing, but you only showed two outfits per person and that is not a very big section.
7) I came for the HOTTEST outfits from the series. Not the most easily critiqued.
8) Maybe you do love the series, but the way some of you talked about it, it didn't feel that way.
that same styling mistake happened in Glee, after Santana came out as a lesbian they tried so hard to code her as a lesbian and make her say lines like "me and pink don't get along" or something when she totally rocked pink mini skirts, pink hair bows etc like newsflash to people- lesbians can wear feminine, cute, sexy clothing too they're not all check shirts and comfortable shoes
that's Emily's personality though, it has nothing to do with her sexuality. She's very sporty and athletic and laidback in comparison to the other girls, so her style is naturally more casual and toned down. Absolutely unrelated to the fact that she's into girls
