The Akai APC 40 template in preferences/control Surface does not work. I know I can midi learn controls but the lights do not light up so it is kind of useless.Any chance updated template. Next to the Launchpad the Akai APC 40 is the best selling controller.

@@acoustica222 thanks figured it out myself.. there is a record arm button in automation lane.. even though I try out different DAWs I keep coming back to Mixcraft as it is simple and intuitive.
Here's a ? Let's say that I've got my control surface set to my mixer. Is there a way to set it up to control a vst as a separate setting? When I right click on midi it brings up the control surface details and in the surface box it has my Nanokontrol2, nano1. Is there a way to disable that so I can use the nano to control a vst without having to delete or reset the mixer settings?
+Mark Lipping I don't believe there is currently, but I will address it with the developers. One workaround would be to just use a different program with different controller numbers for your nanos (I think they call them banks).
+celebutante Yeah, Ill look into that. I was just thinking MC could have in the control surface drop down the ability to switch what it controls. So you could have the same controller able to control whatever is programmed and saved. Thanks for passing on the update request, and for making stuff somewhat funny on your tutorials! 😈
