Great video. To assign the keys and sliders to stay with the tracks and master (even when you rearange) I think you need to go to menue>mix>midi control surface and learn and save from there and save the control surface template.
@@tsharpton1 Right. I actually made a RUclips video of how I fixed it. I rolled back one of the driver updates that was done by Windows. Since then there must have been another update and last time I checked it wasn't working again.
Thank you and thanks for subscribing. I actually don't remember how I set it up. Perhaps I used some blocks of hard foam I had lying around? Sorry - probably not the answer you were hoping for.
I JUST bought a tilted riser on Amazon, for trad KBs but should be fine for 12$ and one-day deliv. I have an oxy49 so I may need to mod as well just like ^^
To unassign, go into MIDI learn, then select the item you want to change in Mixcraft, right click and select "unlearn." Does that answer your question? I don't know what you mean in your second sentence about turning on mute. Can you select the mute then right click and "unlearn?"
I don't understand your question exactly but I looked up Mainstage that seems to be Apple only. Also I don't know what is a tarck patch. Mainstage looks like a nice interface for performing live. I am not a MIDI or a Mixcraft expert so I may not be able to answer your question. All I know is what I learned by trial and error with Mixcraft.
sir, can we assign drum pads in novation to individual instrumental tracks so that we can change voices randomly like how we do with patches in mainstage?
I have Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 on the old computer that I am on now. I just checked and found your answer. Double click any MIDI track so that the piano roll appears down below. Under the piano key display on the left, it says "Velocity (Note ON)" with a triangle next to it. Click the triangle and select Velocity (Note OFF). That probably hasn't changed on Mixcraft 9, but let me know if you don't see it.
@@GuitarBasement thank you, it's true that if I edit using this method the velocity can be turned off when edited using mixcraft. but when I press the keys of the midi controller directly, the sound output still velocity. Well, I haven't found a trick to disable vocity when performing live.
The version of Kontakt that I have is the free version. The only reason I use it is to run the Abbey Road drums that I own. It's been ages so I don't remember exactly how I loaded it. Since mine is the free version there is nothing to expire. Because you say "it doesn't show after each trial" it sound like yours just becomes disabled. Am I understanding you correctly?
@@GuitarBasement what i actually mean is this, my mixcraft 10 (cracked) loads my kontakt 7 but it is having exporting issues it can't export. so i went back to mixcraft 9 but then the kontakt 7 doesen't show in the vst category even after scanning the folder from plugin manager. andyes the kontakt is a free version.
Awesome video! thanks a lot. I have a question, is tehr a way to make a custom drumkit out of the ones that mixcraft include, for example I like the snare of the Electronic Drumkit 4, the kick of the Electronic 5 and the hi hat of the Electronic Drumkit 2 and so on, can I mix them all into just one track and play it on the MIDI drumpads as just one? Or if there isn't, what would be the closest way to do so. Again really apreciate your videos sir!
Thanks - glad you liked it. I just checked and in the instruments you can select either kits, or you can also select individual drums such as kick, snare, cymbal etc... You could assign a separate drum to each track and mix them. I don't know if there are separate drums from each of the kits though. What you could do is assign a separate track for each kit that you like, then edit the MIDI on the piano roll for each track to delete the drum notes that you don't want. It's actually quite easy to do because you can window around the notes that you want to remove. Perhaps I should do video of that.
Sorry I wish I could tell you. My video was about the things I discovered how to do in Mixcraft. I am no MIDI expert. Perhaps you could try contacting their support.

Oh really, that's great if that works. If I ever get my midi keyboard working again in Windows, I'll try that. Thanks for the tip.
@GuitarBasement By the way I am using the Novation Launchkey 49

How to assign colors is not a MIDI function

I think you should dry run your video before you go "live" and iron out all the glitches
