    I came here to learn about data analysis. Ended up learning about the technology you are using for the presentation. For those wondering it is called a 'Lightboard"
    "Because any written text will be backward in the direct camera view, the text orientation must be flipped, either by pointing the camera toward a mirror reflecting the Lightboard and the presenter or by digitally reversing the image."

    Also: Do we consider all possible partitions of the data set into training and test data. What do we do when the data set is small? And, for each case we consider all choices of K, to see which minimizes error ( say (FP+FN)/Total)?

    Nathan kutz . Tq you so much for a good explanation but I have one question why you not show the students how to the work about Cross- validation by numbers for example. . From 1 to 100 so can take from 100 every 80 training and make it by cross validation like
    10-20
    20-30
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    etc
    Because I used and it's give me a good results.
    My regards 😊

  • @sndselecta
    @sndselecta 3 года назад

    From the training data, we use a clustering algorithm to identify 2 or more clusters that we designate as classes, further we build a regression line (model) to be able to differentiate those classes with a linear regression model which then feeds into a classification model for new data?

  • @investmentkc6771

    did you reversed the image on the camera so the things you write looks like written in the right direction?? ... THANK YOU for the lectures.

    • @kiki1188661
      @kiki1188661 7 лет назад +1

      i think he's really writing it in reverse. it takes much practice but it's possible

    • @garrettkelley1032
      @garrettkelley1032 7 лет назад

      Image is reversed because: a) He's right handed and in the video it appears that he's writing with his left; b) Wedding band appears to be on right hand when they're typically worn on the left.

    • @kiki1188661
      @kiki1188661 7 лет назад

      Garrett Kelley that makes sense but one thing i can't think through, the words. if it's reversed then the words would be wrongly shown? or he was writing in the reverse direction?

    I know how he did it!!! It's truly a genius idea borrowed from magicians. The other side of the glass has a projected template on it that we can't see and he is writing over it, which gives us the impression that he is a master of writing in reverse. The template lines are of one color and as he writes over that color, the color changes, so that he knows what to write next. It is also a great thing that he can use as a big note card so that he stays on topic. Truly a genius idea. By the way, I didn't look that up anywhere. This is my own conclusion.

      i know this is three years old, but i read your comment twice and still cant tell if youre kidding or not :D dude he stands behind glass, writes normal and mirrored the video in post production so we can read his writing too.

    I couldn't continue because of the technology you used. I was just hearing some sound and thinking about how you had made the video. Writing from left to right. I think you are right handed. But it is showing left handed. Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was trying to understand the topic not the technology~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
