Lots of people are asking the salary the truck driver makes in Canada. I WOULD say this to those people. Is it worth it to risk your life regardless of the dollar amount? This young man doesn't mention how many truck drivers die making the Winnipeg to Toronto run. I would kindly ask this boys parent to see this video. No doubt he is skilled and has good logic. I would say this to him, it's only the new arrival drivers who cannot go through the US border that do this run. Experienced drivers prefer local and cross-border work. The driving cross-border is safer. Further to that, I would ask this boy just to drive in the summer. Sit home during the winters. Dont put money on the value of a life. god bless

True, when I was in new driver and didn’t got US visa, the only job I had as a driver was to Toronto to Vancouver. Each trip was a near death experience.
It is not all about money. It is about not working under anybody and fulfilling your immediate needs as a new immigrant. Because this is the most demanding job where you start earning good enough immediately where others jobs take time.

@vfxardist extream and unexpected weather and steep hills and 53 feet rig full load, don't stop on breaks it slides.
@vfxardist 10k in a month approx, just one day at home 5-6 days/night driving in a team. Yes, the driver is liable. Because it is driver's responsibility to make sure his truck and trailer is safe. But if it is in the trailer then company is also liable and most of the chances you'll not be charged with serious offences, but your company would be.

Our work is double harder than vans
But these guys r doing good too
Little advise run south if don't like snow
With transx lots of miles and great weather
Or run trunpikes in western canada lots of money
