Great film, I was born 1972, now doing a job that I am fortunate to own a Bill Merklin sculpt, it’s not an action man orientated but a figure.
I hope someone here will understand how important Bill is to this :-)

My first Action man came up when i was only 5... And of course, as all kids did, i eventually ended up destroying him with so many experiments ! 45 years later i pursed a Deluxe release of a SAS british comando and it should be arriving any minute.. Oh Boy, i cant wait to get into time machine again !

I got them back in the seventies, an Adventurer. Still have them all, nurturing them, repair them and displaying them. Using my 3D skills to print new parts or even upgrade them...
Now I bought a realy good 3D scanner, want to scan body parts, defective stuff and reprint them... I even designed new stuff, like a french Napoleonic Curasier helmet. I love them.
Only thing missing was a good Action girl, in the same style, a tough, good-looking girl like Vasquez in Aliens. Perhaps I'll design her one day.

Ah, I remember my talking Action Man. "Volunteer needed for a special mission." I actually had two of the British equivalent - Tommy Gunn, which were just as good.

@@diecastattic126 Thanks. Of course there's the memory of collecting the stars from the packaging, saving up for the free Action Man. Sending them away in eager anticipation, then being thoroughly deflated when the 'free' Action Man turned out to be a factory reject with two left hands!
