For those of you wondering, MSG is a flavor enhancer that is commonly used in Asian cuisine. It also makes the rice taste more savory. This is because it stimulates the taste receptors on the tongue. It also makes the rice taste more like restaurant-style fried rice because Chinese restaurants use MSG in their fried rice to give it its signature flavor.
Matt another great video as always. Thank you. Definitely looks like some “Good Groceries” to me. Quick question please if I may. For a completely new Griddler, how would you rate this for my very first cook? Or would you recommend a different recipe for a first cook? Thanks for your time and info my friend. God bless.
Looks awesome as always. Would you please consider making a rectangular burger about the size of a pack of slider buns? You could maybe flip it with a pizza peel, put many slices of cheese on & put the whole thing on the slider buns. 🥘♥️
Thanks for the videos and great tips and teicks to griddli ng. Have you experimented with minute rice microwave rice and then refrigerate it? Seems like it would save some prep time. New to griddling and have not tried the fried rice yet, but i will be soon. Weber 36 is my griddle

Troy explained that real well. It give an umami flavor as Troy noted, the taste receptors are stimulated with it and it gives food a flavor that separates it from others. Some say they have reactions to it, but it's been looked at and deemed okay. MSG is a natural products not chemically made.

Definitely dont do the CJ, his are super annoying. Good cook&recipes but all that slapstick ruined it and unsubscribed to it! Keep doing what you do, if it aint broke dont fix it/fwithit
Yooo HH. Looks great and I bet it tastes great. I cook my fried rice just like you EXCEPT I put BACON in mine. Kicks it up a notch. Have you considered this? All the way from the West Coast…you got me SPRUNG!!!

I think so, but I’ll bet you’ll use it way more than twice a month once you start cooking on it. But yeah, many have these at their alternative house and isn’t used much.
I am a fan of stainless steel griddles. I have enough to do than be concerned about keeping a cast iron griddle seasoned. Just to much work for me. Especially after a cook. That's just me.
Great recipe Hussey. Chicken and Rice looked so delicious. Video was going great until Jacob came out wearing that ugly t-shirt and ruined the video some. But your cooking Hussey still made it a great video. Have a great day.👍🏽
I love me a good Fried Rice and that looks like a Goood Fried Rice. Guess what I want for dinner?? Oh, I dont know...Fried Rice?? Yeah Buddy. GRIDDLE ON DUDE.
No these tips will mot make top tier fried rice. Adding the frozen peas at the end will as you did will result in undercooked peas. I followed your instructions and ruined the fried rice. Your taste test should have been honest and said "Oops - I should have cooked the peas with the other vegetables".
The peas are to be aldente and crisp. If you cook them longer, they’ll be mush. My taste test was fine. Dang son, did you throw the peas in and immediately start chowing down? Gotta use some sense here, the steam from the rice will cook the peas.

i made the wife buy duke mayonnaise and i love it. it should be a state law in all 50 state. I love your channel. Dave from ohio
I'm down for that law! Haha! Thanks Dave!

@@thehungryhussey with that same premise HH, would you also categorize SALT as a flavor enhancer adding umami to a dish?? I would think not.
Yeah, you gave me on the food service. I love it.

Oh yeah, it’s good stuff!

Haha!!! EPIC!~
Is the Blackstone griddle a good option for me if I only use it twice a month? Do not want something I will have to constantly clean.
I think so, but I’ll bet you’ll use it way more than twice a month once you start cooking on it. But yeah, many have these at their alternative house and isn’t used much.
Thank You. I do feel the griddle gives me a lot more options and thought I might use it more. I appreciate the reply.@@thehungryhussey

Jacob's shirt cracked me up🤣
He's a silly boy!
Are you ever going to actually bring the Andersons on your show? We NEED to know.
Lol...Well, I'll have to find them suckers!
You’re gonna mess around and cause me to give a grill away to make room for a blackstone. 🥘♥️
I double dog dare you! haha!
No need to get rid of the grill, just put the Blackstone next to it... both come in handy.
I missed that 1st egg but I caught the 2nd one. 😊
