George is a class act. I’ve always been a fan of his work. He was working an AML show a few years back and I was rehabbing from an ACL surgery.
After the show I waited outside the dressing area to talk to him. He signed my replica belt and asked me about my leg.
TWO years later I went to another show in another town he was working and the first words out of his mouth to me was “hey brother how is your leg doing?”
It blew my mind he remembered me after all that time.

Start a movement, George South for WWE hall of fame. Man's done more for wrestling than most in the sport, he has had a hand in making a lot of the top tallent, the greats they are today. Time for the underdog to get his dues.

This is possibly the best shoot interview I've ever watched, and I'm only halfway thru it so far, gonna save the rest for tomorrow. I grew up in Spartanburg SC, watching Jim Crockett Promotions from the mid 60s right up to the end. George South has more love for wrestling and life in general that anyone I've ever seen. Some of the best most enthusiastic story telling I've heard. God Bless you George.

You don't have to have held multiple belts and performed under the brightest of lights to be a champion. They talk about role models and idols, this man is the very definition of the word. A man living his boyhood dream, who never took that for granted and who gave it his all at all times. If you could bottle his positivity, drive, humbleness, empathy, compassion and attitude, then you'd be a billionaire. Truly one of a kind. In an industry filled with broken marriages, drug abuse, early deaths, jealousy, lies and deceit. Raised a family, provided for them financially and most importantly, was emotionally invested and physically there for them. A true champion and an absolute credit to himself.

George was one of the best. I remember when George came in to Mid South which is the territory where I am originally from. Then once we got cable in late 83 it was great getting to see George on TBS on Saturday evenings. Ricky Morton of the Rock and Roll Express once stated that George was one of the best enhancement talents in the Crockett organization hands down. George appreciated his opportunities and had one of the best wrestling work ethics period. God bless you George!

I'll admit I thought George South was at least Hundred Years old. I must have seen him wrestling a lot of times but I don't even really remember him. Lex was always good with me on Myspace as would talk to him on there along with many others who were friends with as Pro Wrestlers. I always liked him in Horseman or even the Rack move. I guess I know why they call him the Total Package for sure. I think I remember a few of the things he mentioned. Guy seems really nice. So he can afford 5 houses but can't get a pair of Cowboy boots or so hehe. I'm glad Morton got him a pair. Jimmie Garvin giving him that jacket. I guess he will probably flatten his tires now that he knows where he is at haha. Maybe next time he will sign the autograph :). I seen him in NWA recently. Funny he is in GCW. Tessa Blanchard I seen her in XPW at least ;).
